I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO, and the 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books since I was 10 years old. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge of the subject including personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.
I have been writing for pleasure for at least 35+ years but only got into forum-based Role Playing about eighteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons. Recently, I have been DMing a 5e campaign of my creation for my son and his friends. 5e is so much less cumbersome than earlier editions of D&D. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts.
There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.
I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.
Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over five years ago. :(]
Over two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government. I started a second book in November 2022 and hope to work on that this summer when I have more time.

I enjoy worldbuilding. I will post it in the Guides and Articles section of the forum. Polybius can then post a link to it in his OP. That way it won't clutter up his OP with unnecessary information. Only those Players who wish to travel to Raxas would need to use it.
Do commander archetypes count as their starting feat?
No. Commander archetypes are separate. Your Commander will have 1 archetype and 1 feat. As an example, my commander has Sellsword which grants one free starting militia and his feat is Mountaineer which grants +1 CON in Mountainous Terrain.
I was under the impression that the starting gear could be either level for the first three, or in this case first four characters. Not that I would go for Legendary. The 4 sets of Fine Gear I purchased are, two for the two new hires and the others are in storage for the next two hires, whomever they may be. As far as my assumption about the starting gear is that the first four come together with whatever they happen to be wearing. In this case it is 1 perfect and three fine gear. Especially since their history states that they served as Men-at-Arms prior to forming the mercenary company. They have something before they get there 400g starting money.
EDIT: Regarding the Con/Dex/Wis. I got the impression that you apply the modifier to that stat that is applicable to your class of character; Con for Warrior, Dex for Ranger and Wis for sorcerer rather than applying the modifier to all three traits.
Eaton Cutlery Company has been posted. I added a Lv 0 (generic) Ranger and Lv 0 (generic) wizard intent on leveling up in these classes. I also added a brief history telling how the members got to where they are now. I should add that all of the members of the company are natives of Eaton, Raxas.

Company History: Gunnar Løfgren served ten years as a man-at-arms for King Voldrim at Raxas Castle. Gunnar has always been devoutly loyal to the king and still feels a passion towards the man; a heart filled with respect. He left the service of his King in order to begin his own venture as a private contractor. The King holds no ill will towards Gunnar and is willing to give the Eaton Cutlery Company a contract from time to time. What the King appreciates about hiring the Cutlery Company is that there is no direct connection with Raxas Castle if a hired mercenary performs his dirty deeds. This puts Eaton Cutlery in good faith with the King of Raxas, giving them a positive reputation with the Kingdom of Raxas.
Bjørn Fisker, Seth Bergstrom, and Manfred Engman all served as Men-at-Arms with Gunnar in Raxas Castle. They were not in as high a position as Gunnar Løfgren, instead serving under him during various Raxas military operations. The troop of mounted Men-at-Arms they served operated extensively in the forests and mountains west of Raxas Castle as well as Gor's Crossing to the south. The four men are veterans of numerous clashes with the Kingdom of Karnoras. They have a negative reputation with this rival Kingdom.
Wade Fredericksen is a drunken physician who fell in with Gunnar about a year ago. Gunnar has saved the wayward witch doctor in more ways than one. Although the Doctor is an accomplished Brewer, Gunnar and company constantly make forays into keeping the mead out of the good doctor's hands and in turn abdomen.
Pasha Lang and Godfrey Akerman are a Ranger and a Wizard who are still quite young in their chosen professions and have been hired out just within the past two weeks to help them in pursuit of Company objectives. Their goal is to learn as much about their craft and improve as well as they can.
The name, Eaton Cutlery Company was conceived by Seth Bergstrom, the most talented fighter of the four. Seth's father is an experienced blacksmith in Eaton, equipping the four men in decent gear for their newly found venture. The elder Bergstrom boasts he has made more knives and cooking utensils than swords and armor. He often joked about being the city's craftsman of cutlery rather than someone who makes armor or weapons. It is an oft told joke around the Bergstrom household. When Gunnar heard the story, he thought this was a great name for their company of adventurers; rather than take on some name that might make people believe they were hired soldiers. All six men of the company are natives to Eaton.
I sent my sheet to Polybius prior to posting here. It was my intent to hire recruits after we began rather than spend the gold prior to and go in equipped with strength. That may have been the better option.
