If you are a fan of Warhammer 40,000 or Age of Sigmar, let me know. Maybe we can put together an RP. I play Ironjawz & Kruleboyz in AOS and Salamanders & Drukhari in 40K.

Bio

I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO, and the 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books since I was 10 years old. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge of the subject including personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.

I have been writing for pleasure for at least 35+ years but only got into forum-based Role Playing about eighteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. If someone wants assistance in designing an army, navy, or air force, please send me a PM. I will help. Please specify what level (echelon) or depth you would like me to go. When I say echelon, I mean Army, Corps, Division, Brigade/Regiment, Battalion/Squadron, Company/Troop/Battery, Platoon, and Squad/Section.

When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons. Recently, I have been DMing a 5e campaign of my creation for my son and his friends. 5e is so much less cumbersome than earlier editions of D&D. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts.

There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.

I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.

Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over five years ago. :(]

Over two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government. I started a second book in November 2022 and hope to work on that this summer when I have more time.

Send me a PM for a Role Play or if you would like to see what sort of an army I could build for you.

History: Rayden Kent was born in the year 35 BBY on the planet Alderaan to Jacen and Malika Kent. Jacen worked for the public transportation system in a major Alderaanian city. His mother cared for Rayden’s younger sisters Shonota and Brambles.

As a teen, Rayden kept up with the news regarding the clone wars. He admired the Alderaanian soldiers who went off to war, serving alongside the clones. HE read everything he could get his hands on. When he heard about the Jedi plot to kill Emperor Palpatine he decided the Jedi’s were not such a good sort after all. The Jedi order was a group of traitors.

By the age of 18, Rayden Kent served as a rifleman in the Alderaanian Army. Eventually, his organization was redesignated and he slowly realized he was no longer a member of the Alderaanian military, but now a soldier of the Rebel Alliance. It was around this time when he learned the truth about Emperor Palpatine, the Jedi Order and the Empire itself. He was then 25 years old.

But that was ten year ago, Raydon experienced several combat forays with the empire in the meantime. He was eventually assigned to the 332nd Mobile Assault Infantry Company and met Mosh Karada. He learned to respect the man, who was a few years older, not only for his combat experience, but also the two bonded deeply as very good friends. He would follow the man into the depths of the empire if needed.

Raydon was present at Mosh Karada’s death and it frightened him deeply. He loved the man, like any brother can love another man. After the death of Karada, he became enraged and wanted to kill every one of these mercenary bastards aboard the Majestic. When the Commandant appointed him First Platoon Commander, he decided that is exactly what he must do!

Trivval has not been on the site in 10 days. I wanted to see his call for fire.

So there is no confusion, this is what just happened. The only people killing the Salvesh up close were the third squad members.

”Unass the AO!,”

Anthony Collins

The platoon had just executed a hasty ambush with the first and second squad along with the platoon’s two General Purpose Machine Guns laying down a base of fire and the third squad along with a few Platoon Headquarters personnel executing the assault across the Kill Zone. They Assault team fired double taps into the fallen enemy prior to passing them. This is a technique in compliance with the Geneva Convention back on earth, but completely irrelevant on this god forsaken planet. If the assault element bypassed a fallen enemy and later found the enemy combatant to remain alive, it is the ambushing unit’s responsibility to provide medical attention and evacuate as a Prisoner of War (PW).

The third squad’s aid and litter team were preparing their litter when Lieutenant Koh spoke up, "I have Salvesh silhouettes cresting the hill at a sprint! Roughly about two platoons in strength. Looks like they're here for the after-party."

Major Collins looked at the ridge line. It was a distance of roughly half a kilometer. “Mr. Gunn, how far out is that UCAV?” He was asking his Target Acquisition Specialist when the Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle he had ordered would be on station to hit targets on the ground. @Trivval “Also, please call in mortar fire on this position right now, understood?”

As he turned to look at the platoon, appreciating the relative quietness of the jungle, he looked at the third Squad leader, “Disregard the wounded Salvesh! We won’t be able to take him with us.” Anthony Collins turned back to the majority of the platoon, “Damn, I really would have loved to take him back to the doctors.” Then he yelled for everyone to hear, “Fall back to last rally point and establish a linear defense along the ridge line over looking this area. I want third squad in the middle with a pig on each flank of third.” He then looked at Park, who was bleeding from the face, “Park, take your squad to the right of third squad. Then, he looked at Hedberg, “Take your squad about a hundred meters beyond the platoon’s line of defense and establish a secondary line. If the shit gets too deep, we are dropping back to your line. Be prepared to cover our retrograde operation or push forward and reinforce us.” Finally, he looked at Boggs and Laurent, “Get those pigs in position and use the AT Gunners and flank security.” The term pig is a friendly expression used to describe the larger GPMGs firing 7.62mm rounds. They are usually heavy and put out a lot of firepower. Not to be confused with the smaller 5.56mm Light Machine Gun or SAW used at the squad level.

“Ok, Ladies and gentleman, Unass the AO!” Tony Collins yelled as the platoon began running the 400 meters back to the last known rally point. Pieter Gunn would have to call in the mortar strike from the run. It was better than to sit here and wait for the Salvesh to catch up. Besides, the high ground of the last known Rally Point would give the platoon a height advantage and hopefully suck the enemy into their new kill zone, assuming the Salvesh follow the tracks the platoon would create across the jungle floor.

Retrograde Operations

Brian Park, First Squad

Butch slapped Brian on the shoulder as she walked past him, ”’Tis but a scratch, ja?’" She smiled at him as she passed.

“Ja, a scratch. Really going to mess up my smooth Asian features. I was really hoping to get to know that Singaporean chick too.”

Once the shooting died down, the medic came by and put a bandage on his cheek. @Lord Shaxx “How’s it look, doc? Anything broken? Great scar to look forward to, though. Am I right?” Brian tried to smile, but it only hurt to move his facial muscles in such a manner.

Finally, Lieutenant Koh ruined the euphoria with her dismal report that two Salvesh platoons were heading their way. This could be anywhere from 60 to 100 combatants. She really hadn’t been specific. No one knew how large their grouped their platoons, but earthlings used anywhere from 30 to 50 men in theirs.

Time to unass the AO! The Platoon leader had spoken. “OK first squad on me, let’s beat feet and get back to that ridge line a half a click to our rear.” Brian counted the soldiers of his squad. So far, he was the only casualty. He knew he could still walk or in this case run. His wound wasn’t that debilitating.

Within seconds, the platoon began running back toward the platoon’s new position. Major Collins made sure he was the last one off the ambush site with Pieter Gunn and Lieutenant Koh right close by. “Let’s go, chaps,” Major Collins uttered, loud enough for the two of them to hear. The counter-attacking Salvesh had not yet reached the clearing where they stood yet.

As they moved hastily away from the ambush site, the roar of an A-10 flying overhead drowned out the silence. Then the signature loud burping nose of the GAU-8 Avenger Autocannon could be heard spitting our rounds toward their approaching foe.

“Oh, that’s gotta hurt,” The Major mumbled as he ran.

Creating a post now.
We are going to drop back to the last rally point. The Target Acquisition Specialist, also known as Forward observer (FO) will be dropping 130mm mortar fire on the ambush site. The expectation is that the platoon will be off the ambush site and in the last known rally point before the rounds impact and that the incoming Salvesh will arrive at the location about the same time as the incoming mortar rounds. Collins is also expecting a UCAV to come in for additional support, but it has not arrived.

Our UCAV support will arrive as one of hte following:

The Dassault Neuron UCAV carries two laser guided 500-Lb bombs.

or...

A-10PCS (UCAV variant of the A-10 Strike Aircraft) carries a variety of munitions including the following:

30mm GAU-8/A Avenger autocannon (depleted uranium shells)
AGM-65 Maverick air to surface missiles (TV guided or FLIR)
Cluster bombs (Laser Guided)
Hydra bombs (Laser Guided)
ECM Pod
AIM-9 Sidewinder Air to Air Missiles

Proposed unmanned version developed by Raytheon and Aurora Flight Sciences as part of DARPA's Persistent Close Air Support program.[143] The PCAS program eventually dropped the idea of using an optionally manned A-10

Raytheon and Aurora Flight dropped this idea, but I am speculating here that the Grathik has approved the idea and are using the A-10 Warthog Attack Platform as an Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) for their operations on Saina. Why? Because the A-10 is bad ass with or without a pilot.

Captain Mosh Karada, First Platoon Commander
Trooper Vijay Aidasani, Rifleman, First Section
Trooper Ananya Corbo, Grenadier, Third Section

I will work on a CS for Senior Sergeant Raydon Kent
First Platoon

While the handful of men from the Sapper platoon assisted the Special Operations platoon in the hangar bay, Captain Karada’s first platoon continued to fight their way toward the bow of the ship. They found every passageway blocked as they pushed forward. The sappers took the time to place charges and blow out the blast doors. After each explosion, there was an ensuing firefight.

“We may as well remain together with all these obstacles between us and our objective,” Captain Karada spoke to his section leaders over the radio. “First Squad take the lead. Sergeant Paltoy, cover the right in case a door should open.

Sergeant Pendragon’s section increased fire forward as they advanced into the mercenary’s view. Within seconds of the first section’s advance into the enemy fire, Trooper Vijay Aidasani, a Kuati native took a laser blast square in the chest. It sent him flying back across the floor. His body now lifeless and unmoving. A pair of third section soldiers quickly pulled Trooper Aidasani’s corpse back out of the line of fire. They didn’t know he was dead until they began checking his vitals.

Corporal Kramuk, the third assistant section leader looked up at Captain Karada shaking his head in a slow morose manner, indicative of finding a dead comrade. “Well, we can’t expect for all of us to live,” the first platoon commander spoke out of turn. He was hurt by the loss, but knew it was possible. This is the nature of the game, when you live by the gun, often enough, you die by the gun. “Corporal, get your section into the fight. Reinforce the first section!” The Captain ordered the section forward. Maybe they could get two sections to focus on the enemy.

As soon as the third section entered the fray, Trooper Ananya Corbo, a female Alderaanian soldier took a shot to the face, causing blood to splatter across two of her section mates. When the realized what had happened; the horror hit them hard. The two vomited on the floor where Ananya once stood. Seconds after Trooper Corbo fell, Captain Mosh Karada took a laser shot in the throat decapitating his head from his body. The four section soldiers were near their platoon commander when he felt and were mortified to see the man they looked up to lost in such a manner.

Major Tavik caught up with the platoon just as Captain Karada lost his head. He also was taken aback. The Captain was someone he respected. They may not have always got along on everything, but knew the Captain was a veteran of the clone wars. Major Tavik respected the m an for his experience. He was immobilized for almost a full minute until he finally shook himself out of it. He turned to his left spying Senior Sergeant Raydon Kent. The Commandant looked squarely at the platoon sergeant, “Sergeant! You are the platoon leader! Get this platoon moving!”

Sergeant Kent considered the Captain a good friend and a valuable asset to Rancor Company. He was deeply saddened by the loss of Captain Karada. He knew he would have to take over as the Platoon Leader. “Yes sir!” Sergeant Kent yelled at the Company Commander.

He charged forward behind the third squad. “Increase your fire! Get these bastards!”

Major Tavik turned to the company frequency to let the other platoon leaders know. “All Ranco elements, this is Major Tavik. It saddens me to tell you all, but Captain Mosh Karada of the 332nd Mobile Assault Infantry Company has perished. Senior Sergeant Raydon Kent has taken over as the First Platoon Commander.” The Commandant paused briefly to allow that to sink in. Then he rekeyed his mic and spoke, “I want a SITREP from each of the platoon commanders.”

Captain Kruger was a very good friend of the Mosh Karada’s. He wanted to weep. He felt the loss the hardest. He slid to the floor beside a vehicle in the Majestic’s bay. He shook terribly. He could feel his eyes welling him, but resisted the urges. Finally, he pulled himself together and regained his footing. “Felidron! Increase the fire! That means you took, Lieutenant!” He was angry and wanted to kill everyone on this ship for the loss of his friend. The Sapper Platoon Commander, Percy Lomax had only met Captain Karada in the past few weeks. He had the impression the Captain was a knowledgeable officer and he held true respect for the man. He knew this would be a terrible loss to eh first platoon if not the company as a whole.
