If you are a fan of Warhammer 40,000 or Age of Sigmar, let me know. Maybe we can put together an RP. I play Ironjawz & Kruleboyz in AOS and Salamanders & Drukhari in 40K.

Bio

I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO, and the 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books since I was 10 years old. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge of the subject including personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.

I have been writing for pleasure for at least 35+ years but only got into forum-based Role Playing about eighteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. If someone wants assistance in designing an army, navy, or air force, please send me a PM. I will help. Please specify what level (echelon) or depth you would like me to go. When I say echelon, I mean Army, Corps, Division, Brigade/Regiment, Battalion/Squadron, Company/Troop/Battery, Platoon, and Squad/Section.

When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons. Recently, I have been DMing a 5e campaign of my creation for my son and his friends. 5e is so much less cumbersome than earlier editions of D&D. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts.

There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.

I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.

Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over five years ago. :(]

Over two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government. I started a second book in November 2022 and hope to work on that this summer when I have more time.

Send me a PM for a Role Play or if you would like to see what sort of an army I could build for you.

My wife and son are allergic to tree nuts. They wouldn't eat the brownies either.
I was busy this weekend, but was able to retrieve most of what I lost on Friday. I should have a CS posted later tonight. I am in Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5). I live in New England (USA).

Kurt Vogel is of Austro-Hungarian Descent, loyal to the 2nd German Empire created by @ClatterCake. He considers himself more Bavarian German.
I love brownies, especially with walnuts.Yum!! :D
I just spent more than a few hours writing a personality, biography, equipment list, and skills. MS Word crashed and its all gone. I started my personality description with six traits; 3 positive and 3 negative. Those at least are still listed. Hopefully, I can recall what I just lost.

I don't want to write a partial CS and then fill in the blanks later.
The AMC was built while technology was still good. Before the apocalypse. But the apocalypse caused the destruction of most of the AMC, but now they are rebuilding. Robots do not forget how to build things unless it was deleted. They are AUTOMATED. They can construct more of themselves and build more facilities. The AMC is still alive. Just weakened. But if the GM does not want this one ether, I will reconstruct again.

We'll see what Kuro says, but your tech level is 2040s. I don't believe the tech in this RP has passed 1940s. With that said, it is rare. You're faction would make it more than abundant.

Every once in a while, at work, I’ll steal all the pens from a specific manager I don’t like’s desk. Sometimes, I’ll throw them directly in the garbage. Others, I disperse them among coworkers to muddy the trail. But every time, I revel in the chaos.

You should borrow some ideas from Jim... The Office Pranks
@Nate1008Wow! The Automatic Militia Corporation (AMC) appears to be a fantastic organization for a Role Play set in a very tech heavy futuristic Science fiction Role play; not unlike your previous attempt with the Cybernetic Construct Corporation (C.C.C). They both look very fantastic. But I think you are kind of missing the point of this dystopian, post apocalyptic Role play. It is sort of like a pitcher, standing on the pitcher's mound and throwing the ball to second base, while the batter waits at home plate--totally in the opposite direction.

If you have ever read anything in the Steampunk era, you'll note there is a serious degradation in technological advantages. Most that I have seen are set around the turn of the 19th/20th centuries or The Great War era. This one would at least allow you to possess 1940s tech. From the quote below, Kuro has allowed an extremely rare opportunity to find a working lasrifle or titan machine to use. Your idea suggests quite the opposite of that intent. You may want to rethink the direction you are heading.

What I have in mind for this roleplay is to create a mishmash of some of my favorite settings and genres...To explain in the simplest way possible: the world is FUCKED! The war we know as World War 2 left devastation throughout the world, with the collapse of empires and countries leaving behind only the RARE WORKING lasrifle or titan—monstrous machines of death—behind in their wake. In addition, the various remnants of humanity are not the only enemy, with mutated beings and zombie-like plague carriers guarding ruins and the roads between makeshift outposts. Safety and shelter, while not unheard of, is a rarity in a world where anything could kill you.

My favorite movie of all time is "Kelly's Heroes" which came out in the early 1970s. But I am a huge Clint Eastwood fan.Loved the Spaghetti Westerns from the 1960s and Dirty Harry movies.
LOL It's Lake Placid. Oldest movie I've ever owned and watched was the black and white video cassette Night of the Living Dead.
Lake Placid (1999) is 20 years old and I rarely watch horror. I can't stand that genre. Some of the oldest movies I've seen are The Wizard of Oz (1939) and Sergeant York (1941). When I was a kid, The Wizard of Oz was on Television every year about two weeks before Christmas. That was back when there were only three or four stations on Television (ABC, NBC, CBS & PBS). Today, if you want to see some outdated movie, you can find it online.

I'm watching a movie I saw at the movies 14 years ago. It's still good

A 14-year old movie? That's not old at all. I have several movies I watch on a semi-regular basis that are much older. Hell, I know I have shoes older than that movie. What was the title?
