I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO, and the 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books since I was 10 years old. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge of the subject including personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.
I have been writing for pleasure for at least 35+ years but only got into forum-based Role Playing about eighteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. If someone wants assistance in designing an army, navy, or air force, please send me a PM. I will help. Please specify what level (echelon) or depth you would like me to go. When I say echelon, I mean Army, Corps, Division, Brigade/Regiment, Battalion/Squadron, Company/Troop/Battery, Platoon, and Squad/Section.
When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons. Recently, I have been DMing a 5e campaign of my creation for my son and his friends. 5e is so much less cumbersome than earlier editions of D&D. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts.
There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.
I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.
Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over five years ago. :(]
Over two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government. I started a second book in November 2022 and hope to work on that this summer when I have more time.

I will provide additional intelligence as attained by your respective intelligence sections at Regiment or Brigade through Private Message. I must inform both of you, that neither side has a Line of Sight on the other. When that happens, I will check to see if either of your units has spotted the other. Some spotting chances are considered automatic (i.e.: vehicles moving in the open) while others will require dice rolls. I will use the dice rolls you have provided for me to determine the outcome of these spotting attempts. Once either side has spotted the other, your units can shoot at them. You can tell me in a PM at one what range you would like to engage the enemy. Some may desire to have their units HOLD their fire as a control measure. Military units do this in real life. Once combat starts, I will take some liberty with your subordinate units, reporting their sightings and actions to higher headquarters. That information will come in the form of a Private Message (PM). I will write these reports in character. You can use them as your own if you want to include them in your own IC posts as though you and I had collaborated on the post.

01 April 1985
The United States Army Europe (USAREUR) or 7th US Army as well as the entire Bundeswehr and British Occupation Army have gone on alert, establishing a defensive line west of the One Kilometer (1K) Zone separating West Germany from East Germany and Czechoslovakia.
Elements of the US 3rd Armor Division (SPEARHEAD) have been alerted to an anticipated invasion of West Germany by units of the Deutsches Demokratische Republik and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic. First Brigade of the 3rd Armor have been deployed to the area around the Fulda Gap near Bad Hersfeld. The American built combat vehicles have been preparing a defense of the sector in order to deny enemy penetration to the west.
0630 hours 03 April 1985
The sun’s rays began spreading out across the landscape around a quarter after six in the morning. The sun wouldn’t be completely risen for another forty-five. At six thirty, the temperature in the German state of Hesse was 43 degrees (F) or 6 degrees (C). For those who would survive the day, the sun would only warm the air to a balmy 48 degrees (F) or 9 degrees (C).
The winds were wafting lightly from the west around 3MPH with gusts up to 6MPH. The skies had been overcast for the past few days, but this day, the 3rd of April was partly cloudy with gaps of blue. A person on the ground could peer into the skies above to view the NATO and WARSAW Pact aircraft engaged in a deadly ballet. F-15s, F-16s, A-10s, F-4s, F-104s, Jaguars and Panavia Tornados streaked from the west while MiG-23s, MiG-25s, MiG-27s, MiG-29, MiG-31s, Su-17s, Su-20s, Su-22s, Su-24s and Su-25s parried their advances from the east. The skies were painted with the condensation trails (contrails) of multiple jet engine aircraft circling, climbing and diving. An occasional parachute could be seen, where some unlucky, Brit, German, American or Russian lost a duel to their adversary in the sky.
The ground where the American and East German soldiers prepared to meet each other was wet and sloppy. Many of the farmer’s fields could soon be turned into a muddy quagmire if excessive numbers of vehicles were to pass through them. Small patches of snow remained in the shadowy areas, under trees or behind barns and houses.

I got my first cellphone when I was a freshman in highschool. it was an old oyster flip phone, and the only things you could download on it were ringtones mainly.
I probably still had a cell phone before you. My first phone was before the flip phones. When I was a freshman in Jr. High School, the Atari console system was fresh on the scene. Watched Welcome Back Kotter, Happy Days and Taxi.

I've only had two wisdom teeth removed. It was because they were cracked. I don't understand why dentists need to remove these teeth.
