@DawnscrollMore like they'll more readily take on the traits of your god, I'm assuming. Like in D&D or something; if you are the god of death, and you make a race or peoples (for whatever reason), they will serve the interests of the God of Death. Perhaps they'll work tirelessly to ensure that those who deserve to die do die (e.g. Humakti); or if you take it the other way, perhaps they're undead themselves. People of the goddess of love might indeed love more -- she could make a succubus race, or just a people famous for their passion.
@HaelDo you think it might be a good idea to make gods more reliant on having to use each other to create things? Or do you want to preserve the relative independence we have right now?
To elaborate: right now, Teknall could make Dwarfs and Vulamera could make a scholar race and the Adversary could make demonspawn, given enough might. But we could make it so that in order to create "true" life, we have to go through Slough; and in order to create "thinking" life, we must work with Vulamera. Or something to that effect.
Right now we seem to be in-between -- where the rules suggest a level of independence we aren't actually acting towards.

Well, they cannot be completely identical. Natural life is so because it follows the 'style' of Slough, which is composed of both her life power and all the influences in her, thus abiding by natural laws; unnatural life is so because it follows no natural laws as embodied in Slough, instead relying completely on the god that performed it. A Slough owl would be flesh, feathers, and blood, made of atoms, cells, molecules, neurons and so forth. A Toun owl would be repulsive flesh hidden inside an owl-shaped shell of perfect porcelain and gold, sustained by magic means rather than natural means.

The essence contribute to the 'elder scroll' is an establishment of the natural laws that will foment the life created by Slough. It does not mean that anyone can create proper, natural life willy-nilly. If Ilunabar works with Slough to make a creature, it will be natural life with a spin on it, but if even someone as good as Ilunabar attempts to make life on her own, the end product would be unnatural life completely derived from Ilu's own powers, completely unique but still not the kind of natural life that will be common in the universe.
