Yeah don’t ever recall BLM charging the US Capitol building, scaling the walls, attacking Capitol police and breaking windows to enter.

"Glad to see you're up to it. I'm sure Rose will happily be your co-helmsman." Lex said to Amelia, leaning back in chair and yawning before looking back at the crew. He hadn't gotten any sleep at all since his trial, being on the ship might actually help in that regard, he always slept better when he could hear the hum of the engines as his eyes closed. "I'd like to get onto it already, but they told me they would usher us over there when it was time. So until then we're stuck in this room along with the armored blokes bored out of their mind listening to us." Lex said as he grinned, glancing at one of the guards who was looking at the ceiling. The man glanced at Lex right as the ex smuggler looked back at his crew at the table. Suddenly, a voice came over the intercom in the room. "Attention, you are cleared to leave the room and proceed to the hangar where you will find your ship and depart. Of course you shall be escorted by several guards, any suspicious activity will not be tolerated." The voice said in a stern tone as Lex rolled his eyes, one of the guards in the room speaking to the Vigilance crew. "You heard the man, everyone to your feet!" They did as the guard asked, Lex the first one up and first one out, the group exiting the room and entering the main hallway. The station was quiet, the only people on it those that worked on it as well as some military personal and a few business men. To the left of the group was a large window which covered a noticeable portion of the wall. The planet could be seen, the crispy brown color of it clashing with the light from the nearby star to create a beautiful sight. They could not admire the sight for long as the group was ushered by the guards flanking around them. Soon enough they reached the hangar which contained the S.S. Vigilance. The two guards standing by the door to the hangar looked over the group, then one nodded to the other and opened the door, the crew moving through to find what awaited them on the other side of the door. The Vigilance in all of its glory. The ship seemed larger than the picture Lex had seen of it, yet it was the perfect size to land on a planet with no issue. He moved around, seemingly inspecting it for any flaws. He couldn't find any, it seemed to be in prime condition. Probably wouldn't last that way for much longer, it kind of surprised him that they were given such a work of technology considering that they were all criminals and as he had been told, 'A very, very low chance of survival'. He wouldn't complain though. The armament on her was the most impressive thing to him, well from the outside. The cannons were imposing, they looked like they could tear a hole in a ship twice its size. He couldn't wait to step inside of it and take command. "Well, she looks pretty damn expensive, is it up to everyone's standards?" Lex asked, turning towards his crew.
Question: Is Ro'Essel's Omega Talent going to be an open bit of information or is it between her and the Captain only I can understand if it's the latter because she basically a planet killing nuke; oh an no worries if in the future you see the need to kill her off for dramatic effect
Only her and the captain.
"I understand Rose, if you don't want the position then you don't have to take it. Also, you all don't need to call me 'sir', we're not really enlisted soldiers in the military. You can just call me Lex, no need to be that formal." He said to the group with a smile. "Thanks for the input as well. Makes my job easier when the people I'm supposed to captain give honest opinions," He said, scratching his head before glancing at Oliveia. "You know the ship has its own personal AI, Oliveia? I don't know how advanced it is but I figured I should bring it up to you since you are one as well, though when I walked into the room I thought you were a human." He said with a grin before he looked at Amelia. His attention turned to Ro'Essel as she popped out of her seat and introduced herself and more. He rose his eyebrows in curiosity at the gesture, but a smile appeared on his face as he spoke towards her. "You sound like your skills will fit in great with the crew, Ro'Essel. I'm not really sure if we can do a skills test though, I don't know if we have the time nor means to properly do that. I appreciate the honesty in bringing up the idea, though." He said then looked at Amelia. "The position is yours if you'll have it." He said to her.
I think it would be better if Rose was on the ground, mostly because I would enjoy it more. Unless there are any objections. I'm going to quickly shower and then get an IC post up and then off to bed.
Nah man no issue if you don't want it, worst case no one wants it then I have to create a NPC pilot character.
Hypothetical question here; if Rose were to pilot the ship would he still participate in ground missions?
Probably not, unless the ship is docked/grounded.
Lex looked over the crew members as they spoke, he had been given very brief details on each one of them, though he had never met any of them until now. He was kind of thrust into the position as the captain of the crew, but it was a better alternative to prison, plus he could make some friends with this group, just with a sense of cautiousness as they all, including him were technically criminals. "Happy to meet you all, wish it wasn't under such circumstances, though this is much better to imprisonment." Lex said to his new crew, then looked at his ankle monitor before glancing at one of the guards, a look of disappointment on his face, he honestly felt like a leashed pet, but he figured that the people putting them all up to this would have failsafes in case someone tried to bolt. His gaze turned back to the crew, a grin on his face. "I'm quite relieved you all are skilled in different areas, I'm a decent pilot but I doubt I could fly the ship they're giving us, or patch up a serious wound or repair an engine," He said, then reached into the pocket of his shirt, pulling out a small device that his captors had given him. He slid it out to the middle of the table where it beeped, a hologram of the ship emitting from it. "As you can see, it's a newer vessel, like a hybrid between a gunship and a frigate. All kinds of fancy equipment inside of it, a solid weapons setup outside of it. We should decide who will pilot the ship. From what I've been briskly briefed on, Amelia or Rose seem be the ones best suited for the job, no offense to anyone else." Lex said, now out of his seat, his eyes on the group as he put on his best attempt at being a leader, it had been a couple years, reminded him of his military service. "Though if anyone else would like to add their opinion then that is welcome."
With multiple people doing starfighters, how are ground ops going to work? I was hoping Pask would be the sole go-to flyguy, which is why I creamed it out on his CS's starfighter section.
Have those capable of doing work on the ground join the ground team?
Also, good posts guys. I'll get an IC post that moves things ahead once everyone has posted. Still got two people left to post.
Sorry that took so long. I wasn't able to get anything done yesterday.
Accepted, post it on the characters tab.
