And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

Rrrrrright, so what is on the floor above!

In fact, let me make in IC post of it since you've declared your intent clearly. Should be up shortly.
@Hekazu Erk could you give me a brief on the next floor? Because the next post I make will just feature Mistletoe and Kenza heading up, which can be summed up in just about three sentences max. So, I'd like some more stuff to writes abt :)

I will probably find the time tomorrow. This night is plenty busy as far as I can see.
I'll have Orchid do the same. So should we continue by initiative or are we free to post as normal?

I don't see anything wrong in breaking the initiative order, but I can see a case for keeping the system running as well. That is why I'm asking you guys if you'd rather keep it or drop it.
I say we go about chopping off the heads of the Kobolds. How do coup de grace work in 5E? I've never had to use it before.

Coup de grace in itself is not a mechanic. Kobolds are asleep and prone though, and when attacking prone targets you are granted an advantage on any melee attack roll on them from 5 feet or less away, I believe. Now I need to go to bed though, will be back in the morning.
That probably was more effective than anyone could've guessed. Well, what now? It would be @The Harbinger of Ferocity's turn, unless you all want to break out of initiative order and leave what remains on the ground be?

The druid's methods were undeniably unorthodox, but if it works it ain't stupid. There were multiple parts in the plan that could go wrong, but Torus was still willing to go through with it. If there was one thing for it in his advantage, the enemy would not be expecting a manoeuvre like this, not in a hundred years. The execution in itself was simple: The raven familiar let the waterskin empty it's contents above what it deemed to be the target and the druid threw a spell to freeze it, creating a makeshift bludgeoning instrument.

Now where could it go wrong? The most obvious one was that the familiar might not see well into the smoke and thus miss the correct point to let the water flow. The next one was that the water might be released too slowly. But this was not the moment of worry, this was the moment of action. The bird let loose the water and the druid called forth his power to command this very element of nature to freeze. And freeze it did. It fell into the smoke, and anyone noticing the move was left awaiting the sound of impact.

And oh did the sound ring from the smoke! Both that of breaking ice and that of a woman's scream of surprise and pain, soon falling to complete silence. Well, as complete a silence as there could be, given the still patrolling ball of opposition and the steady smashing sound coming from the main doors to the temple. It seemed as if that had taken care of their final conscious mark.
@Gordian Nought
I'll take care of the rolls, but if you want to know how I do it, I will use Blood Bowl scatter mechanics. First a roll to see if it scatters, if it does the "where" will be answered with another series of rolls. We'll see what will be hit and what not. Once the accuracy is taken care of, anyone that may or may not be under the water will DEX save. On success, no damage. On a failure, I'd like to say 1d4+1 frost or bludgeoning damage as an improvised weapon. Let me get onto it.
@Lord of Evil
If I've read the posts correctly, you are currently at the window, yes? That window was halfway between floors, the topmost until collapse and the one below it. That leaves the floor with the Jailor at the bottom. So what's here then? A window and stairs, mostly.
If Parum casted the rally as a Minor Illusion, does that dissipate the smoke from the previous Minor Illusion? Or was the cloud invoked by an actual physical object, i.e. a bomb?

The smoke is not an illusion, but instead has been/is being caused by something the raiders did/are doing. Thus there is no dissipating to happen.
Now we get back to the usual combat rules. The thing with the prepared action being that the Raven had a hard time discerning where to drop the water thanks to the smoke. If it will be written in, I will need to roll for it's accuracy but it can happen.

In any case, I'll just notify all of you: @Gordian Nought@The Harbinger of Ferocity@Lucius Cypher@Norschtalen@Ryonara
