And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

Atch, I gotta stop forgetting all my own questions. This might seem like a "No shit" sort of question, but would Orchid still have advantage for sneak attacking or did he lose that once he shot the kobold? I imagine that would be the case, but just in case I do have Advantage and forgot about it.

Any attacks made do tell your location, if I am not completely mistaken. One would have to take the Hide action to re-enter hiding and gain advantage anew.

Next, Shoving is a separate action. Cannot grapple and shove with the same one.

As for the DC the cultist has to meet, it'll be your athletics check versus their athletics/acrobatics check, and that happens every time they try to escape. I will now assume you have attempted to grapple, not shove since we spoke of grappling earlier. The cultist fails their escape attempt with a roll of 9. Nonetheless, I urge you to go through the rules related to grappling one more time.

Now I'll have to head off to bed, will be back to respond to things later.
We could establish some background information about them depending on how long they've been travelling together to arrive where they are, that is true @Dervish. We could just go over our sheets once more and then suggest how the characters might see each other at the beginning.
Ah, btw, could I do a Reckless Attack and Grapple? Grapple is an attack action (important to know so I can use it to maintain rage) but I don't want to burn a rage. I also wanna know if I could Reckless Attack+Grapple as an attack of opportunity, if that's okay with you.

Opportunity Attack is not an Attack action, due to its nature as a reaction. It is but a single melee attack, which is why Extra Attack does not function with it either. However, I think this is one of those times when we can consider this needless bickering and allow a grapple attempt to be made. It makes perfect sense for one to be able to try it, so go on ahead with that if you want.

Reckless Attack doesn't work with that though. Grappling is not a weapon attack and it is not exactly "the first attack of your turn".
@Hekazu, just move Brannor one square west. This isn't worth arguing about who was where or what after calling it. No less, I am not surprised at all that we are still waiting on others to post their grid location.

Very well. DM post will be updated accordingly.
My mention for @Lucius Cypher ended up incomplete in the IC post, so it will now be (re?)included here.
The onslaught against the campers continued. One of the unarmed men could only count their blessings as an arrow struck the ground a few centimetres to their right. They took an instinctive step back and turned to the direction the arrow had come from, catching the Paladin that had fired it just before having to turn again due to another threat approaching.

Torus' rush towards the group earned a panicked reaction from them, but none would be foolish enough to attack a bear head on. One of the people just barely stopped themselves from hitting the ground as their instincts attempted to take over. After all, it didn't take much of a hunter to know what the best defence was against a charging bear. Yet they managed to piece together that this was no ordinary bear. The attack of the others was too opportunely timed. And now they were cut from their weapons. Their reaction was pretty much the only sensible option they had: They ran.

With the Druid in their shifted form between them and their weapons and seemingly no trust in their kobold allies, the men began a mad dash South-West, trying to get as far away as possible from the attackers they had noticed. They were having none of it, and one of them even vocalised it in a panicked shout: "They might not have been paying much, but it was better than this!" The kobolds were obviously disgruntled by the sudden abandonment by their 'allies' and some sort of an authoritative figure among them (with no real difference in looks) stood up a little taller and waved their hand to gesture at heading to the other 'free' direction: South-East.

Well, I'll have to say I am somewhat surprised to see that two of my players have yet to supply their locations. I would also appreciate Brannor and Orchid not sharing their square, since that sounds... difficult. DM post in coming soon.
And just in case the above would go unnoticed without mentions (since I forgot them when posting...)

I have updated the map to include coordinates. Please give the preferred location of your character. I will not be able to advance the plot tonight or tomorrow, so you have until Friday. Please excuse the delay, the department of computer science here in the University of Helsinki is having it's 50 year jubilee seminar.

By the by, the updated map:
I'm kind of curious what Peik's critiques are. Looking forward to reading them!

Same here. In the meantime, I'll be drafting a better appearance description for Lord Vensor!
