And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.
I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.
Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!
Theodore joined the discussion a bit late, missing the most heroic belch of their newly met potential companion. Not too many had been interested in what he had been going through, instead focusing on looking around the walls for their decorations and what shields there were. There was the occasional soul who wandered to pick up what he had called out, but not a word of thanks. He didn't need any, but he would have appreciated some. Nonetheless, mask or not, he would not let it show.
"-there used to be many men and women in this Hall, devout, proven warriors all. You see, when a warrior of Ysgard dies on the field-" was what he caught of Valmjr's words, but just before things were about to get interesting in his tale, true or not, Birbin threw in a word and interrupted him. Well, not as much Birbin interrupting the warrior as the warrior wanting to hear what the little man had to say for themselves.
Underground, the gnome stated. Catacombs for those fallen in the realm where death was hardly permanent. Birbin surely was eccentric, but they had proven trustworthy for the time being and with the new person backing them up, they would either both have to be crazy or trustworthy. Surely neither would be joking at a time like this after all, right? The so called Ysgardian marched forth without waiting for anyone else. Theodore looked behind his shoulder, many of the group staying behind. He looked back at the new person, then back at the group. These people he knew. The new ally was a wild card. He would stay and if Valmjr had not rushed off in such a hurry, he would have called out to them to do so as well. But if there was something positive to this all, Theodore had to admire his zeal. He would not stop when fighting for something he believed in, much like the templar himself.
For the hour the others needed for themselves, Theodore engaged in idle chitchat with Thea, though nothing they discussed was of much importance or interest, mostly reminiscing the time they had spent training with the templar since this so called "temple" had reminded them both of it. The ranger was still wary of removing his mask, but did lift it on top of his head to accommodate for the paladin's wishes. As soon as the other wold be satisfied, Theodore hopped onto his feet and drew the mask back down, pointing in the direction Valmjr had headed to. "Let's go. We have not one, but two people to go looking for as things are. Let's be quick."
Theodore stays behind for the short rest with the rest of his allies. He gains no benefit from said rest and is more than willing to be the first to act if anything suspicious happens. Consider him standing guard while keeping the discussion up if it happens to be relevant.

As for @Gordian Nought's question regarding a short rest... I don't think one can rest on a march for an hour, can they? After all, you are actively doing something. I'm not stopping you from taking one now, but that's another hour spent.
With the new information at hand and relayed as was best for the Druid in his bear form, it did not take long for the heroes of Greenest to plan out what would happen next. The most important of it all was that they would surely not be going through the pathway between those rocks, that was simply asking for trouble and as much as Kyra wanted to deal it out to the cult that had invaded her home, she too knew that going for such a manoeuvre was simply too risky to even consider. With that option out of the way and turning back definitely out of the question, all that was left was above, below and around. Two of those were eliminated through sheer incapability of performing them, so finally the reached conclusion stated that they would go past the rearguard.
Naturally it was for the best to use the terrain to their advantage, something the group would well know to do. Torus and Brannor were no strangers to nature, and with Parum having some knowledge on these matters from her studies as a bard, they opted to steer clear from the immediate vicinity where it would both be easier to spot the tall grass moving and to step on hard ground by accident. No, the group chose to move safely and as silently as possible, sacrificing perhaps a whole hour to circle around the guard post, but could still find the path easily afterwards. Eyes in the air were of great help in this process, that much had to be given to Judgement's credit though. Now having set back upon the path made by the army, the heroes kept their eye out for trouble, but would not encounter further problems until a strange, rocky plateau came to view.
No mistake was possible: The plateau was, if nothing else, shielding the sides of the path that had been taken. There was a small wooden tower built near the entrance into the pass, and it was necessary too if one wanted higher ground. The plateau itself was way too tall for anyone from the top of it to be able to fight effectively against anyone at the bottom, with maybe the exception of the accurate marksman. They'd have to get closer to be really able to tell the height of it, but the tower appeared quite short in comparison. Was this the camp? Or was this merely another ambush? The small pillars of smoke rising from beyond the natural walls would hint towards the former.
The party bypasses the rearguard by taking a one hour long side trek, thankfully not getting lost in the tall grass while keeping their heads down. It is now later in the afternoon, but evening is still a decisive while away and they have found their way to a strange plateau, through/into which the tracks of the cult army lead.
The answer to "are we there yet?" is not certain, but it looks likely. Decisions on the way of approach should be made.
Oh. I suppose I do deserve that don't I? I'm sorry. If I'm out I won't argue with it, I can't say I've done my part as I should have. Like I've said before you've been too kind to be as it is. If you're willing to give me a chance I can post today, but I understand if, because my previous record with you so far, you'd rather not have me.
As much as my initial reaction would be to give you one more chance, it was already heavy enough for me to make the decision to boot you. I do not make these decisions lightly and would much prefer not to have to do them at all, but I will be staying true to my word as things are now. I am sorry, but I am also glad to see you understand what my choice is based on.
There are few words a man can use to deliver this message, so I will get straight to the point.
It has been much too long since I heard of @Norschtalen, the player of one Kyra Shepard. As much as I enjoy the character they brought to the table, that slot is better filled with a more active player. I should also point out that I would like to hear when @Ryonara is planning to drop in their next IC post, but since they have at least responded in OOC, they are not being terminated at the same time.
I will contact what spare player contacts I have and see what we will have for the new player. Kyra will be placed under my control until the party can be reasonably readjusted in terms of storytelling.
Ladies and gentlemen, I thought we had an agreement. Did we not agree on a certain level of activity that should be maintained, with the possibility for extensions when addressing the issue OOC beforehand? Because I remember something along those lines. And this, well, this sure is not it. I have made my own share of mistakes, don't get me wrong, but we are currently talking about a very simple action to be taken. It does not take that long to figure out a way to approach it and commit to it via an In Character post.
Really, I have been saying the "if I do not see change" things for a while now, but consider this the absolute last one. I do not want to kick out players, but if they do not comply to the rules they themselves set, what am I to do? Those under threat of termination should know who they are. I hope I do not come across as an ass, but I do believe this matter needs to be addressed.
Ysgard? On any day in his home realm, Theodore would have laughed at this man's face for making such a claim. After all, was Ysgard not just a rumour? A realm of eternal fighting amongst the worthy warriors... what would a man from said realm be doing in here? Had Ysgard been devoured by the forces of Darkness as well? Since surely this realm would not be it, would it? Those shadows were hardly the greatest warriors he had ever met, nor was Birbin, no offence to the little soul. The wide array of facial expressions he went through were hidden behind his mask, spare the occasional twitch of it when he moved his jaw, but eventually he simply replied: "I see. Well met, Valmjr." That name was tough to pronounce.
The inside of the hall was... well, it surely had seen more organised days. Theodore walked over what was scattered on the floor and made his way around the tables where he could, over where he could not. He was going through the checklist of a templar arriving on new ground that could turn to a battle. While Valmjr had held this place until now, that didn't mean they had necessarily looked through everything. A quick look around did not bring out anything wrong though, so he laid his worries to rest for the time being. Next up would be to restock.
Theodore went through what he could find, making a sort of an inventory in his mind as he passed. Most of these things he would simply call out to his friends, such as "Javelins! Seventeen of!" and whatever else he would come across. Once he arrived to the crossbow bolts though, he stopped and crouched down. He examined the build of the local ammunition, marking down that it showed much more signs of hand-crafting. Less in a workshop model, that was for sure. To finalise the comparison, he drew forth one of his own bolts by quickly operating the bolt case's finger release and could see the difference in quality from the feathers alone. Yet this was what he had, so he ended up liberating the local stocks of nine of said bolts, filling his case to the brim again.
What was next would remain to be seen, or heard. Surely the others had had a chat with the locals, or maybe Birbin would have launched on a tirade on their own?
Theodore collected nine bolts. He now has 20 in total.
