And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

@Hekazu My apologies for hte delay with the sheet, I've been super busy with university but I'll get it done either by today or by tomorrow tops. Once again, my apologies for the delay and for the lack of communication on my end.

Looking forward to seeing who else has made it to the Masquerade!
Now, while I am willing to continue with our Druid still with us, that does not mean I should not ask for the opinion of others just as well. Does anyone have anything against Gordian hopping back in after the unnotified absence of a few weeks? Because to be fair, that does go against our rules and guidelines. You are just as free to answer to my inquiry in private, as you are in the open. Do note that the absence of any and all opinions will be counted as an "I don't care".

I totally missed this, I am terribly sorry. That and this week has been a week from hell. I kept getting my work hours shifted around. It was painful. I got like no sleep, and my brain no work.

That being said, I have tomorrow off. I will sit down and make a reply. I do apologize. I am a garbage person.

Facing difficult times and working with them barely makes one a garbage person. And since RPing is but a pastime to us, prioritisation of tasks should be maintained in accordance to that. Of course, I would accept warning beforehand, rather than after the fact, but one cannot always have everything. And even if we are moving a bit slower than anticipated, we are advancing nonetheless. Nothing has been lost. Don't beat yourself over it. :)
In cases of being unsure what to do, bringing one's current options up for consideration for other players may help! And if I know of plans beforehand, it's easier for me to fit them in the narrative just as well. Don't be afraid to speak OOC, everyone!

It should also be mentioned that since my last absence was elongated, I'm letting the long post break before Orchid's latest one slide, but next time it happens I'm going with what I threatened to do, that being bringing in the cutter. Even in the case of @Gordian Nought.
@Mortarion
It looks like you are free to make an application for the RP if you would like, given the absence of any and all other character applications! Only one of them actually responded to me either

I also have seemingly forgotten to tag @Sofaking Fancy and @Templar Knight in my last post. My bad!

Then there's the case of @Gordian Nought. I do know the person is busy with offline things and that his style of writing quite fits the universe we are looking at, but with the level of activity displayed we have one character stuck with them at the time being. If there is no input from the person by the time I next post, I will be commandeering the character for the while to allow @Lady Selune some space to manoeuvre in. And, well, last online 15 days ago doesn't seem particularly good, does it?

Marcus shook his head at Ada's concerns. "If it will take hours, then it will. Whatever be the case, we must travel the distance", he explained his reasons for going forward with the plan. If there was no faster way of doing it, they might as well resort to what they had available instead of sitting idly by and awaiting for a better method to rain upon them from the heavens. The gods had given what they could, or would, give them and the rest was up to the Titan Hunters themselves, those chosen for the job by those divine entities. The paladin looked around himself, scoping out everyone who were going to join him. They were all more or less present. Good. They could begin.

"Those heading West, gather where we first saw Krusk when you are ready. Bring your mounts and belongings, especially the former. The gift from gods we will transport ourselves with only reaches so far from me and to so many souls at once", he switched to a much louder volume, so that anyone could hear. Then he was off to fetch his mount from where it was being held. Bartimeus was used to the magic they would utilise. The fellow hunters would be able to handle it through the merit of understanding alone. But if there were any wild animals, which it appeared there was bound to be, Marcus could not be sure on their reaction. A fair warning should likely be given to all of those involved either way.

In the stables, Marcus held a hand on Bartimeus's forehead as the servants removed any bindings the Pegasus might have had placed upon it. Finally he was given the green to open the gate and walk the Greater Steed out from its holding. The two exchanged a few pleasantries through their link, mostly about how the night had gone and what had the awful racket been about. The news of them having to use Wind Walk to move onward came as quite a displeasure to the winged steed, but he knew better than to complain. They needed to move fast. Not everything could be achieved.

Once those whose destination was the empire of ghouls and whose (current) destiny would amount to toppling said power had gathered in the smaller part of the courtyard, Marcus would nod. "I would like to ask everyone to gather close to me and prepare for quite the experience. Do your best to keep any animals in check", he stated as he fished out his prayer beads and held one of them in his fingers. He spoke a few words of prayer, and the air around them changed quite suddenly. "This will only take a minute!" he yelled over the ever rising wind. And soon even if he tried nobody could hear anything over the deafening gale.

Everyone affected by the spell would find themselves in their own personal maelstrom, the thundering winds ripping at their armour, clothes and flesh. But instead of pain, only a light feeling would come around. Through the winds, one could barely make out the shape in the middle: The half-orc who had called this spell upon them stood there, calmly, slightly wavy in his disposition. His eyes were closed for the whole duration of the casting and he would stand still, holding on to the single bead from which power radiated into his surroundings. His armour shimmered as it became air, his face and hands had long since been but fog. Only a moment later, the vestments he wore under the plate puffed into a more transparent form too, though simultaneously the armour would strengthen in its opaqueness. Or perhaps it was everything under that became so much softer? Nonetheless, the paladin appeared more or less his usual self, if only made of coloured air instead of his actual physical form.

"If everyone is ready to move, we should be on our way. Last chance to pick up anything forgotten", he declared and began a slow ascent off the ground and towards the sun.

"So ya's sayin' that ya took a man beaten for ya, beat 'im, an' now think yaself ta be some champ?" the older counterpart to the discussion returned to Orchid's tirade. "Nae tha' I think o' it, seems tha only guy ta say the Greenest champ took down more, das ya. Yer full o' hot air kid", the older half-orc concluded and shook his head. Before he could say more though, a puff of purple smoke wafted in from behind the provoking party and a figure the goading half-orc could recognise stepped in to the heated discussion they had been having. Whether he was invited or not.

"Gentlemen, gentlemen. Order", investigator Krets demanded of the two and took a lungful of air through his pipe. "I don't particularly care what this whole ordeal is about, but the wearers of purple would be really disappointed to hear about infighting. Go do your thing, whatever it is, and stop with pestering your brothers in arms, all right?" Krets did seem rather peeved at this whole matter, but once again he appeared to be trying his best to not let it slip into his language.

For the Druid and the prisoner, scenery did not change much. Guards would change in due time, but that time was not even nearly there yet. So it was left to them to hold up their façade and bide their time. Even Judgement would fail to report anything new: Leosin, or who they with quite substantial proof suspected to be the man, remained bound on the spot where Parum had said she had seen him. The captives didn't include anyone else who might match the description they had had, as fortune would have it, so it was looking ever more likely that the man they were looking for was indeed held at the back of the camp. In more or less the furthest point from the entrance. How lovely.

The short exchange of words between Parum and Kyra, on the other hand, seemed to go mostly ignored. They were of the same group after all, so it would have made no sense for that to ring any bells either. It was, of course, possible that the increased amount of the better dressed folk was a coincidence, that there was something else going on. But what were the odds of that? In any case, the two would need to bide their time. Until their moment to strike would come. And as the sun began to vanish away at long last, when Orchid would finally get himself out of the rabble rousing shenanigans... the darkness of the night was on steady approach. No sign of acolyte Davis quite yet.

I should find the opportunity to advance the story here tomorrow, at bloody last!
So Arthur thought so too. That made it ever so more likely, for it was not very common for two people who had not been in much together to ignore the same vital thing proving the contrary if there was one to ignore. But it was at the mention of the Master's name that the constable nearest to them perked up to full attention and glared more intently than ever before at the man who had spoken the name out loud. Well, that couldn't be a good thing, could it...? Monica had to admit that she was nervous about this. They had just figured who the Master was, but what good would it do to them-

The hooded figure beckoned them closer. Had her eyes just lied to her? Had there been one too many glass of Greyfields? In the one glass she had had? Yeah, right. She hadn't ingested honey yet either, so... there was no other case than her having seen just that. Surely it would be foolish to refuse a direct invitation from a Master of the Bazaar of all things, and with the glare of the constable smoothing away a bit... no, that had been her imagination. Still just as fierce as ever.

"Well Arthur, we were on the same mark. And I dare say that we hit it", she smiled and tapped the man on the shoulder with her parasol. "Let us accept the invitation. Mayhaps it is the key to finding why this party was called together? Why a group of people, all wearing masks, were called to share a space with not only one, but two of the Masters of the Bazaar? Exciting times for all!" she gushed and began a careful approach.

The poet could not help but note that the scruffy looking sailor gentleman had taken position nearby just as well. Would they be invited as well? Or would the constables see to moving the man away? Perhaps he would simply stand there? Whatever the case, it was not her issue. As she made it to one of the pillows laid on the floor, an orange one, she sat down with two seats between her and the Master. Sitting in this dress was not the easiest thing she had ever done, but she could manage to find a position that did not risk being quite risque. Her ankles were safe.

Who they presumed to be Mr. Spices waited for Arthur to make his decision on approaching or not and if he did choose to sit down among them, wait for that to be done before taking a long huff from the pipe. A long exhale later, a high pitched voice typical of Masters rang out from below the cloak: "Welcome to the masquerade." That was it. Well if that didn't just raise more questions than give answers. Was it expecting the guests to go first?
@Mortarion

Your interest has been noted! I have asked the two people that also had interest at an earlier point but could not quite make it in if they would like to join us around now, so we'll see whether I hear anything of them. Until that's done with, I cannot make any promises, but I will put you on the list of people to contact in the case of players bowing out yet!
