I'm definitely interested, I love RWBY and this sounds neat-o.
Perhaps in the future, but for now I would like to limit it to Disney/FF.
It depends, honestly. What did you have in mind, specifically?
Will do, sorry about that.
I guess I mean more along the lines of "uncontrolled", you know, like how explosions just seem to happen and while we can plan and make them, we can't really control them? I wasn't sure of another word to use besides uncontrollable, but that's not entirely correct either. Kinda. I mean I can just change it if you'd like.
Hoping this is decent D:

Character Sheet:
Name:
Xia Lian
Nicknames:
Called "The Gentle Explosion" by most of her neighbors.
Gender:
Female
Age:
20
Appearance:

Bending skills or fighting style:
-Untrained Novice (I.E. Doesn't quite have the hang of any style--see History)
Personality:
A very happy, gentle girl who wishes for nothing but to please others. Her cheerfulness seems to know no boundaries, and neither does her enthusiasm. She tends to be demure most of the time, but ends up trying to warm up to people rather quickly. She often finds herself speaking before thinking, the same with most of her actions, though she does mean well. She has an overabundance of patience, though if the wrong buttons are pushed, her temper seems to simmer for some time before finally exploding. Said buttons are doing things that are obviously wrong and not caring, having apathy towards others, and threatening her loved ones in any way.
While most would find it difficult, she is able to hold a mask bearing a smile through difficult times. She outright refuses to let anyone see her sad or depressed, outright hiding if she has to cry. She is actually very insecure about her future, as she doesn't really know what to do with her life. She goes along with her mother simply because she doesn't want to disappoint her, She also avoids talking about her bending, somewhat ashamed of her learning disability preventing her from learning proper training, and she gets rather defensive without even realizing it.
History:
The Lian family is quite well known for running and owning one of the most expensive jewelry shops in Ba Sing Se. The story goes that the heiress of the esteemed Lian family decided that she did not want to continue the family business. As an act of rebellion, the young woman named Li Mei began to travel the world instead. She then met a man with whom she had a fling, but then came to her senses and returned home to act as a dutiful daughter--except that her passionate 'fling' resulted in a child. The family kept the entire thing under wraps, claiming that Li Mei's "husband" passed away while the girl was still pregnant. Still, Li Mei decided that she needed her own place without her parents breathing down her neck every second, and so collected her things (and a fraction of her family's wealth) and moved to a place known as Wu Xing. Here, she set up her own place of jewels and gold, and eventually Xia was born.
As Li Mei was a non-bender and had her fling somewhere around the Southern Water Tribe (or was it the North? She couldn't quite recall) to say she was shocked when she found her daughter firebending was an understatement. She was, at first, at a loss on what to do, though she enlisted some help. Xia found that while her bending was plentiful, her control wasn't so great. Besides somehow managing to burn herself frequently, a fire would often start in the house almost daily. Li Mei urged her daughter to control herself, but young Xia found it much more fun to let the flames dance around freely, rather then being held back.
To say that Xia caused much trouble was an understatement. Burning people's property was just another Tuesday, and while at times she meant well, Xia often found herself causing more trouble rather then helping. One such occasion was when thieves snuck into their store after hours--Xia had just happened to have left a scroll on her desk and had gone to get it when she encountered them. The neighbors described the next moment as "a simmering flame suddenly erupting into a volcano" and mentioned that each thief fled howling, their bums on fire as they ran.
Luckily for Li Mei, Xia did mature into a fine young woman, so much that when her parents visited, they suggested that Xia return with them to run the business. While she did manage to put a lid on her bending, it still lacks a lot of the finesse most benders have--though she makes up for it with enthusiastic power. Her bending is also a somewhat touchy subject--as many note, it is often wild and unrefined, though this is because she doesn't want to admit that she has a learning disability that renders her unable to learn lessons--even learning to read was a very difficult task and she often forced herself to stay up late to study as she had trouble understanding her books. Still, she wanted to help her mother more then anything, so her bending simply wasn't a priority to her, and she let it stay where it was.
Huzzah! People have shown interest!

@HellofaLife - Amazing, right? Sadly some bloke will pass along too late eventually TT___TT
After digging up my old ps2 and replaying the first Kingdom Hearts, I thought it'd be nice to do a roleplay of it. It'd be pretty simple, an AU (Alternate Universe) devoid of Sora and co. and would feature mainly OCs in his place. The main plot of the Disney Villains collecting the Princesses of Heart would be around, maybe beef them up a bit to make them more formidable, as well as adding more corrupted youths ala Riku if anyone wanted them. I'd stick strictly to the first Kingdom Hearts, though. I'm also open to any Disney world out there, maybe we could make up a list and whatever. :D
It's hard to find the thread, I was so dependent on Subscriptions that it's a hassle to have to keep finding the thread over and over x___x
Ahhhhh so glad this is back! Aerandir, it's me, Aikalynn, is it alright if I put up my old character again?

Edit:

"Well, that is to say...I'm going on a pilgrimage."
Notable Parents:
Mother is former summoner Donna, father is former guardian Barthello
Name:
Shion
Age:
19
Sex:
Female
Hair Color:
Black
Eye color:
Brown
Weapon:
Shion isn’t too big a fan of fighting, but sometimes uses a harp for magic.
Any Armor:
None
Biography:
Born to Donna and Barthello in Kilika, Shion was a very weak and frail child. She often fell ill, and as a result spent most of her time indoors. This lead to her love of reading, and eventually, her interest in the ways of summoning. Despite most thinking the art is dead, she was absolutely fascinated, and often would spend all day reading stories about High Summoner Yuna and her journey.
Eventually she learned of her mother’s connection, and after much begging and pleading finally got her approval. She was taught and educated in the old ways, and while there was never a chance to practice them, Shion was well versed in the history of the temples and aeons, and even sometimes found herself wishing she was born during that era.
She seemed to have a talent for magic, and made herself a mage. One day while scrounging through the family library for a time for spells, she stumbled upon her mother’s diary from years ago. She had lamented how she had actually quit her pilgrimage, and had some regret lingering. Feeling a sense of duty, Shion decided to do a pseudo-pilgrimage herself, thinking that she would complete her mother’s journey for her, even if it wasn’t literal. And thus she snuck out and hopped onto the next boat for Besaid.
Personality:
Shion is, to put it simply, a carefree spirit. She is hopelessly optimistic, cheerful, bright, and her smile never seems to falter or fade. She has an iron resolve, believing it is her destiny to help everyone that she can, and will not change her mind once it is set. She is sweet and caring, but many note that her kindness is burdened by her naivete. She is trusting to a fault and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. She seems a bit on the ditzy side, not understanding sarcasm and taking jokes seriously. She comes off as air headed and dense, and even when you have her attention it feels like at any moment she can get distracted. Her youthful optimism can also get a bit ridiculous to any sane person.

She wants to be able to trust people, and gets very hurt when that trust is betrayed. She is sensitive when it comes to people's weaknesses and doesn't seem to understand why people can be evil. This gives everyone the impression that she is very sheltered. She doesn't like anyone seeing her upset or sad, and will gladly shove aside her own feelings to stay strong for everyone else. Despite her oddities her fears of water and fighting are serious to her, and while she won't admit it, she gets a little upset when people laugh whens he tells them. She tries to keep a level head but she worries too much about everyone and doesn't think about herself. She is, however, good at putting up a brave face, and if the situation calls for it, she won't hesitate to protect those close to her.
Are you arriving in Besaid or Living there?
Just arriving by boat, having run away from home.
