He was right. He was absolutely right. She was so stupid to think he'd understand. She should have abandoned him when she had the chance. But she didn't. Why? Because it was wrong? Because she didn't want to inconvenience him. She wasn't thinking rationally, and truth be told, it hurt. It hurt to be naive, it hurt that he was right. She was still the same, idiotic child that ran away from home those years ago, she hadn't changed at all. From that day to now, she never thought out the consequences. Why? Why was she so stupid?!

The brown haired girl slowly looked up at him. She wanted to tell him he was right, but the words didn't come. Her expression was one of defeat and she remained silent. Instead she laid back down on the couch, curling up with one of the pillows and having her back to him. She didn't want to speak anymore, she was tired, physically, mentally, and she just wanted it to go away. She wanted to run and hide somewhere, and hugged the pillow tighter. She was stupid. She was really, really stupid. Well no more. She had to be selfish, be more cunning.

She needed to rest. She wasn't going to stay here the entire night.
Emiri's eyes narrowed. True, perhaps she had gotten slightly out of line with her assumptions, but how in the world was she supposed to know? Weren't Sly Pirates all about that sort of thing? And she wasn't about to forget how he touched her leg like he did. He remained calm, but she wasn't as controlling of her emotions. A lot of pent up feelings seem to have exploded, though to was a silent fury that followed. "Facts?" She mockingly asked, and she stood too. She could've been frightening, had she another foot to her height. "The FACT of the matter is that I'm here with someone who I don't even know, mind you that you wanted to KIDNAP me. The FACT of the matter is that people CAN and WILL assume things. You and I have known each other for what--a couple of hours at most? You tell me, Sky Pirate, what is a person going to assume?"

Most of her rage wasn't even towards him, really. She was yelling more at herself, oddly enough. Unfortunately, she had more to say, "Indeed, I overstepped my boundaries, I do apologize, but let me remind you WHY. Of course I'm going to assume the worst out of everyone. No one gives me facts, they do what they please with me and that is that. I don't get a say, I don't even get a choice." She emphasized, her hands balling into fists. "Not from you, not from your employer, not from...from anyone." She almost mentioned her mother, but managed to catch herself. Jaakuna was willing to part with personal information; she was not. Now she was the one turning away, though she had her hand over her mouth, fighting back tears. Why was she so angry? All was said and done, and at this point she slowly sank back into the couch, her head in her hands. "I...I am a person. I'm not...I'm not a tool."

I hate you so much, Mother.
Emiri removed her arm from her face, propping herself on her elbows to properly look at him. Really? Seriously?! Of COURSE she was going to assume the worst! She hasn't even known him for a whole day and it is EXACTLY like something he'd do! Or at least, she made the assumption (but at this rate she would never admit that), but what she didn't like was his tone. And she was NOT being a drama queen! How dare he?!

"What are you trying to say, am I not good enough for you?!" She snapped, pulling at her dress, unintentionally revealing more of her chest. "In case you've failed to notice, all those clothes you had looked like they belonged to a two-gil whore!" She waved one arm frantically around, as if it would help her explain. "I am MUCH more desirable then any other woman you've had--and how many would that be? Two? Ten? A dozen?" She was seething at this point, completely blowing everything out of the water. She wasn't really mad, just insulted. As to why she was insulted was the real mystery, however.
He was laughing. He was laughing. Was this some kind of joke? "How-How DARE you?!" She half cried, half yelled, clearly not understanding the humor in the situation. "If you truly believe taking advantage of innocent girls is a JOKE, I have lost all respect for you!" Still, it was for naught, for he continued to laugh. This was a nightmare, torn straight from one of those pamphlets warning about dangerous men. What was that advice her nanny had given her? 'Never be alone with a strange man!' she would say. Except she was far, far past that stage. Way too far.

She felt dizzy. She sank into the couch, now laying down on it, and threw one arm over her eyes rather dramatically. "Should you choose to take it, do so already. Spare me the dread." She murmured, her heart pounding. Did it hurt? Often she had heard it did the first time. She let out another choked sound, though laid limply on the couch. "I hope it doesn't hurt too much." She muttered darkly, her other hand on her chest. There was no escape. Just dread.
Amused, of course, at her discomfort. She furrowed her brow, taking another sip of tea more for hiding her indignant expression then out of thirst. She remained completely silent, that is, until he flashed her. She wasn't drinking this time, but her face lit up instead--she cursed her wandering eyes and forced herself to drink again. People truly had no shame, did they? Still, out of the corner of her eye Emiri watched Jaakuna rip the note to shreds. What was that all about? Before she could ask, however, he excused himself to go to the bathroom. She didn't have much time--dare she try to look? It upset him, or at the very least bothered him enough to enlist such a reaction. Still, time was ticking--literally--and so she quickly picked at the pieces, trying to make some sense of the hastily written words. She squinted at them, frequently looking at the bathroom door, lest she get caught. Unfortunately, the way it was ripped made it nearly impossible to tell what the note originally said, though two words made it out:

'sleeping powder'

At this point, Emiri froze, her entire body in shock. Her eyes darted to the door, and with a haste quicker then one under a spell, scattered the bits to how they were. Sleeping powder? For what? Oh no, had she had some slipped into her drink already? Into her food, perhaps? She bit her lip, tapping one of her knees as she tried to think why Jaakuna would order such a thing. No, she was the one that ordered the meal, but what if he had done so beforehand? For his employer? That is, unless he was interested in something else. But what other benefit would drugging her do? The answer hit her like a sack of bricks, her mind jumping to the absolute worst conclusion.

The bathroom door open, and Emiri openly squealed in surprise, her breath rather short as if she had gotten caught red handed doing something she shouldn't have. She grabbed her tea, nearly spilling it in the process, then remembered the sleeping powder, and this time she practically threw it back onto the tray. Oh no, her body was feeling tired. Was she too late? Would he have his way with her? Slightly hyperventilating, Emiri looked up at him with watery purple eyes. "Y-You c-can't..." She cried, a hand to her lips as she tried not to actually cry. "I've never...I-I haven't even...that is...I-I-I'm still..." She stuttered tremendously, it was actually comical. But she inhaled deeply, trying to compose herself, and whispered, "H-How c-could you...I...I've never e-even b-been with a man th-that way..." She sniffled, eyes still watery, and she grasped the arm of the couch desperately, feeling her limbs start to get numb.
She had faced wolves, bandits, monsters of all varieties, had been on the brink of death more then once in her lifetime. She was about to lose her freedom the very next day, and it was only now at this very moment that she was losing her composure. As he neared, she herself sank back, hoping the couch would swallow her whole, though thankfully they were interrupted. She gave him no response, simply looking away instead. She almost ran to the door, though the way her heart was beating she was sure she'd have a heart attack. Her hand was actually shaking as she reached for the doorknob. She cleared her throat again, more for the sake of calming her nerves more then anything, and opened it.

On cue, their room service had arrived, along with something a little extra. She noted a note and a parcel was for Jaakuna, and left it untouched as she set the tray on the coffee table. She absentmindedly retook her place on the couch, though once she noticed how close she was to the barely dressed Sky Pirate, her face flashed red again, and she quickly retreated to the other end of the couch. Without waiting, she immediately began to eat, doing so at a rather alarming and rapid pace. Anything to divert her eyes; she found them to be wandering against her will.

She finished eating in record time, being hungry helped somewhat. She placed the plate down with such force it nearly cracked as it hit the table. "Wha--I...I apologize." She stammered, quickly taking hold of her tea once more, though she only took a sip and quickly placed it down--this time, more gently.
Good going so far guys :D
Having never seen even a half naked male before, much less being in the presence of one, so when Emiri spotted Jaakuna, she choked. Quite literally. She was in the middle of sipping her tea, and years of training prevented an "unladylike" behavior--meaning she would've spit it out under normal circumstances. However, those reflexes were forced back, but in doing so she ended up choking on the liquid. She gasped, her face red from both lack of air and embarrassment, though after a few seconds she managed to swallow and breathe properly once more.

"Y-Y-Your--the...the food will be here soon, a-along with a change of--why in the world--" Emiri sputtered, dabbing at her lips with a napkin, all her mannerisms thrown to the side. Her mother would be ashamed if she could see her. Then again, it was HER fault she never even interacted with the opposite sex, much less see one in almost the nude. Emiri cleared her throat, her cheeks still pink, and she surmised some of her composure as she asked, "Are-Are you looking for something?" She noticed how meek her voice came out, and prayed he wouldn't notice. Oh, who was she kidding, really?
xD I'll take that as a compliment, haha.
The tumbleweed passed, and in that time, he decided to keep the conversation going. Oh look, see he's nervous too! You're not the only one!" Aurelia's mind tried to calm itself down, though it scrambled itself again as his string of words made very little sense. Still, it seemed like he wanted to introduce himself. She waited in anticipation, slightly confused. Did he not know how to introduce herself? She waited, and after some time, was met with an outburst. His name was Felix. He made that (very) loud and clear. She nodded, a motion now practiced from her previous encounter. After a few seconds, however, it clicked in her mind that she needed to introduce herself as well.

"Oh!" She exclaimed, and felt the redness in her cheeks match his face. "I...right! Of course, of course...It's a pleasure." She laughed nervously, once more twiddling with a stray lock of hair. "I-I am Aurelia. It's...It's a pleasure to meet you." You repeated yourself. She noticed, and she shook her head. Oh, no, the gods were mocking her, she was pretty sure about that. "I do mean it, Felix." She continued, clearing her throat somewhat, and in a rather uncharacteristic move, held her hand out. Though it was clear that said hand was trembling as if she was lifting something heavy. But that was what people did, right? They shook hands. That's what people do, they meet new people and shake hands and then...what would happen afterwards?
