FEELINGDoubtful

Her heart jumped up to her throat as Julius spoke, reminding her that she still withheld that information from Arthur. She hated the way Julius looked at her, unable to ignore the way his eyes traveled over her body, and she raised her arms to cover herself. Despite dumping her, it didn't stop him from wanting her physically, she was certain of that, and willing to bet that was the end of his statement, too. There was little time for her to think about that as he would mention the car they heard. Arthur was the one who drove away? Julius had been mistaken, Eva initially assumed it had been his father, although now that he mentioned it, if Arthur was the one that had left the room then it would explain why he hadn't come back. But where would Arthur be going at this time of night? 'Hopefully not another girl'? Julius seemed a little too sure about that, and she found herself gripping the sheets nervously.

As Julius got closer to her, Eva didn't move, though she turned her head away, choosing to look at one of the posters on the wall. Arthur was different. He wouldn't betray her. But there was no denying that she hadn't been giving him a difficult time lately. Her mother's death, homelessness, and pregnancy were all overwhelming to her, so she couldn't quite imagine how Arthur felt getting saddled with all her issues. If he was finding relief from it with someone else, could she really blame him? "He wouldn't do that to me," Her voice was heavy with uncertainty, and she shuddered lightly as she felt him getting closer. Well, she had initially believed Julius wouldn't leave her for another, either, who was to say Arthur wasn't the same? Julius did claim the two were alike. She turned her face towards him, looking at him directly as her blue eyes searched his. "I feel like you know why he's gone. If you really know...please tell me," Her voice came out as a plea despite her trying not to, her hand on his chest.

So she hadn't made him uncomfortable? Hmm, maybe Gigi had yet to understand Alexander after all. Then again, it had been extremely out of character for her to reciprocate, so maybe she was the problem? Wow, that actually bothered her. Well, she wasn't nearly as charismatic or sweet or bubbly as her friends, so she shouldn't have been too surprised. His apology was nice, at least, though she shook her head, signifying that she didn't hold it against him. But it was increasingly difficult for her to admit that she had actually liked it. It was better to keep that little bit to herself, though, at least for now; she was enjoying herself right now, no need to ruin it with any potential awkwardness on her part. As his SUV came to a halt, she recognized the area and followed him gladly. The closeness between the two was foreign, but not unwanted. Should she say something? Put her hand on his? Would they be able to move okay? Couples did it all the time, how hard could it actually be? The actual execution did seem a little cumbersome, though. He seemed to have it covered, if she did something wrong, she could probably ruin it just like she did earlier. Ah, crap, why was she still thinking about that?

The good thing is that Alexander is infamous for charming girls, so all you have to do is follow his lead. Don't overthink, go with your gut, and you'll be fine. Alyssa's voice seemed to pop into her head as he pulled her onto the bench. Right, Gigi was definitely overthinking again. This was more nerve wracking than infiltrating an enemy's headquarters. Inhaling quietly, she tried to empty her mind and focus on him. Easier said than done, of course, especially as she continued to over-analyze everything they did. His compliment made her feel somewhat warm, and she found herself diverting her gaze for some reason. He was always bombarding her with things like that, but this one made her heart skip a beat. Ah, there were those symptoms again...at least if she had a heart attack then hopefully Alexander would take her to the hospital.

Her ears perked as he spoke to her once more, quirking a curious eyebrow at him as he fumbled through his pocket. Yeah, she was having a really good time, though now she was wondering what he was up to and why it made him so nervous. As he presented the ring, her jaw dropped slightly. Where the hell had--no, that was a stupid question, he probably swiped it from somewhere. But why? What did he expect from this? A token of how he felt, but it was so...much. Holy shit was he proposing?! Her brain seemed to completely freeze up, the multitude of possibilities and a lack of reasoning momentarily halting all of her thoughts. Her eyes flickered from the ring to Alexander, her heart picking up the pace.

Stop overthinking! She mentally told herself, slowly breathing in and out to recollect herself. "No wonder they say you're a charmer," She admitted, shaking her head slightly as she raised her hand to cover her mouth, hiding the smallest of laughs as she gently took Alexander's gift and examined it closely. "Quite the gem...easily worth thousands alone. A little bonus procured from a mission?" She asked, looking back at him and still smiling. Presents were certainly one way to show care for one another, but she didn't have anything for him.

The crowd had dispersed, and there was the slightest feeling of dread hanging in the air for Victoire. Classes hadn’t begun and already people dove straight into their shenanigans. Exhaling quietly, the dark haired girl simply brushed her hair off her shoulder, sharp eyes frightening those who were dumb enough to linger. Of course, everyone in this school knew not to mess with her, with only a select few actually knowing how to interact with her--and even then, their interactions were hardly on the positive side. Not that she minded, the less she had to deal with any potential idiots, the better. She was focused on graduating and leaving, everything else was simply irrelevant.

A tap on her shoulder told her that someone wanted her attention. Victoire simply looked over her shoulder, not bothering to turn all the way. A brown haired girl stood behind her, a little too cheery for the morning in her opinion. Estelle Lambert, if her memory served her right, and that it did as she introduced herself as such. “Can I help you?” She asked, her neutral tone somewhat dry, though there was little ill intent behind it.

Oh! Stella was not expecting such a quick reply. Her mind was spinning as if someone had taken the globe that was her head, and put it on an infinite loop of going around and around and around..

The girl caught herself, shaking her head so she could come back to Planet Earth and not totally embarrass herself in front of the first person she decided to talk to on her first day back at King’s for the final year. But as she stared at the fellow brunette that stood in front of her, unlike her usually talkative self, Estelle Lambert was drawing a blank. Well, not necessarily drawing a blank, but the feeling of being overwhelmed had gone into overdrive, effectively reducing any words that she tried to get out sound like stuttering mutters.

Victoire stared at the brunette with an equally blank look on her face, though she didn’t seem very amused. Turning to face the girl fully, she decided to give her another chance to speak. “Did you need something from me?” She rephrased herself, slightly lifting her brow and expecting an answer.

She took a long moment to try to collect her thoughts. And there were a lot up there in Stella’s unorganized noggin. They swirled and danced and chaotically-brawled to be the first one out, but none would make it because the only thing that she could muster - the one thing that seemed to make out from her mind to her mouth - was probably the least impressive sequence of words to ever exist in existence. “Hi!” Stella said with an awkward smile, high-pitched, almost squeaky, voice, and a wave that was more alarming than charming.

Hello,” Victoire replied in kind.

And all that progress that Stella made with getting a single word out had been harshly erased from reality when Vicoire said hello back. Queue starstruck meltdown in three, two, one…

She said hi. Oh my god. Victoire Bailey said hi to me!!” Stella did not realize she had said that outwardly instead of to herself.

Oh that isn’t weird at all. “Okay.” Came the only word Victoire was willing to respond with, and the young woman decided that as fun as the conversation was, she had better things to do. Nodding slightly, Victoire turned back around at the sound of some very loud music, instantly recognizing it. Who else would it be? Knowing that Lucas and Santiago were likely to be the first to cause issues, she decided to head back towards the gate.

Stella stood there for a good ten seconds or so before she realized that Vic wasn’t in front of her. She realized this when the remnants of jasmine passed in front of her. Turning around to follow the scent, there Vic was just a yard and a half away from her. Alarms sounded off in her head. This wasn’t how she imagined it going. “Wait no,” she muttered to herself, running after Vic. The zany brunette was thankful that Vic wasn’t that far ahead of her, so she could easily bring herself to walk alongside her. “Please don’t go! I was just overwhelmed back there. Please don’t hate me!” Stella apologized for her lack of words just a few moments ago. Now that she had time, Vic would see that Stella wasn’t such a bumbling fool as the first impression gave off.

Was she following her? Forgetting about Santiago for a moment, Victoire looked at Stella again. Hate her? Victoire didn’t hate anyone, she...nothing’d them. No one was of any importance, even her own sibling was only held ever so slightly in regard because they were literally related. Otherwise he’d be nothing, too. But of course, being President meant that she did have to interact with her student body once in a while. Even if she disliked it immensely. “You’re right to be overwhelmed. Though ‘hate’ is a very strong word. And inaccurate,” Victoire stated, placing a hand on her hip. “If you don’t tell me what you need, I can’t help you.

”I just--”

Stella stopped herself. She didn’t want to make the same mistake she did before. She was the one who first approached Vic, not the other way around. If she was going to speak to this obviously-confident, powerful young woman, the unpredictable teen would have to block out everything was telling her to scream and have a starstruck moment …again. What Estelle Lambert had to do was stand tall, face the Class President with as much confidence that the girl could muster, and not falter in anything she may or may not say - no, she will say what she wanted to tell Vic when she first saw her in the parking lot.

“My name is Estelle Lambert, Stella for short. You obviously don’t know me, but, I know you. You’re one of the most amazing people who go here. Wait,” she paused, “that’s not right. You’re more like one of the most feared people I’ve seen at this school. And I thought, since you’re the type to strike fear into those around you, that you saw me as some annoying girl. That’s why I thought you hated me,” Stella admitted, letting out the most nervous, squirrely, laugh of all laughter kind.

Introducing herself twice, there was a new one. Victoire listened to Stella as she stated the obvious--both about herself and that she thought Stella was annoying. Still, she stuck true to her word; she did not hate Stella. “I don’t hate you. I nothing you,” Victoire decided to state the truth.

She does not hate you. She does not hate you. There’s hope, after all! “So, does that mean we can be friends?” Stella asked her directly, eyes full of hope.

What the…?

Stella’s bright eyes actually unnerved Victoire slightly, the latter lightly furrowing her brow in a bout of confusion. Wait, what? Friends? Them? For what? Didn’t she say she knew who she was? Victoire has no friends, literally, and the only thing keeping her from getting jumped with the other friendless losers was her academic prowess, though she supposed that would just make her a nerd. Well, Stella certainly had a way with words, if in a very convoluted, strange way. She was so used to having to out-bitch her opponents that she genuinely had no idea how the hell to get rid of Stella.

As the thought crossed her mind, she surmised that Stella was probably not going to leave her alone anytime soon, especially after she admitted that she didn’t hate her. Hmph, what a mess. Inhaling slowly, Victoire raised her hands in defeat. “Sure. Fine. Whatever,” She conceded, dropping her hands.

And when those words flew into Stella’s mind, she thought she was hearing things at first, but then Vic’s beautiful, if not commanding, voice played back in her mind It was almost as if the sloppy state that her mind had been in since the day that her former queen and best friend, Savanna Hart, left her to pursue her music career in Beverly Hills, had completely corrected itself. Organized and full of new life, Stella’s only reaction to what had just been said to her was the tightest embrace the petite girl could muster. Her arms wrapped around Vic’s upper-back, and she pressed her face into Vic’s cheeks, even rubbing with a happy glee-like squeal.

“This is the best day ever!”

What the hell did Victoire just get herself into?
The warmth of the cabin was a welcome respite to Cielle, the heat defrosting her cheeks as she let out a sigh of relief. It looked like her observation was slightly mistaken, as rather than a home, it was a small shop. A multitude of wares and goods were crammed into the space, though there was still ample room to move around. Her eyes briefly took a look around, though there was nothing of particular interest or anything she would need. Approaching the counter, a fair haired man sat, eagerly watching her, and she noticed the warmth came from a nearby sauna. Oh, the temptation threatened to overwhelm her, but unlike Kai, Cielle didn't come here to play around.

Kai.

Their previous argument affected her a lot more than she wanted to admit. Yuffie had always teased her about her rigid and somewhat harsh way of interacting with people, though Aerith always defended her stating that it was Cielle's position that made her that way. And so what? Being a know-it-all is how she got things done. And if he thought she was cruel, then he had no idea of the capabilities of what cruelty truly was. She had closed dozens of keyholes on her own, she didn't need him. She didn't need anyone. She was stupid to think that having a traveling companion would bring benefits, especially one so dim witted! Catching herself, she let out a small sigh. Maybe she really was mean.

"Yoo-hoo!" The merchant snapped her out of her thoughts. Well, no time for regrets. Hopefully Kai would listen and wait for her back at the castle, she needed to focus. "Big summer blowout!"

"My apologies," Cielle bowed her head. "I was wondering if a young woman with red hair had passed by."

"Oh, yes, she left shortly before you came in, dear," He informed her cheerfully. "Heading towards the north mountain, she was!"

Shoot, she must have just missed her. After getting a pointer on the direction she was headed, Cielle braced herself for the cold as she stepped outside. Her eyes spotted some marks on the ground, indicating an animal pulling a sleigh. If that was the case, Anna was going to be long gone. Hmm, if she was heading towards the north mountain on a sleigh, then there would be a slight delay considering they had to follow solid grounding. If she climbed the mountain head on, Cielle could possibly catch up or intercept the princess. Exhaling slightly, Cielle marched forward for a while, and as she reached the base, she looked up at the rather daunting climb.

"Here goes nothing..." She mumbled to herself as she began to climb, carefully watching her footing as she continued onwards and upwards. Despite it initially coming off as a lot, Cielle found herself climbing with a relative ease. Maybe it was because she was fully concentrated. That or she was focusing so much to prevent herself from falling. As she reached a relatively safe ledge, she hoisted herself up and took a breather. The sun was starting to fall, bringing with it a cooler temperature. Trying to judge whether she had enough time to make it to the top, she rubbed her sore arms. She had made it quite a distance all things considered. She could see the entirety of Arendelle from her height, and her thoughts briefly flickered to Kai, wondering if he was causing any trouble down there.

Noticing a small opening near her, Cielle chose to continue forward. There was a very small path that continued upwards, and as she walked, she spotted what looked like a crystalline set of stairs. Surprised, Cielle approached them, though as she took her first step, she nearly slipped. It wasn't crystal, it was ice! It was beautifully sculpted, whoever made them went above and beyond expectations. Once she climbed over, Cielle was stunned to see a gorgeous castle ahead. Her curiosity seemed to get the better of her as she went up the stairs, pushing the door open.

If the castle looked nice on the outside, it looked just as incredible on the inside. Literally everything from the ground to the walls to the grand staircase was made of ice! As Cielle examined everything, she felt that it was just a little too perfect to have been sculpted. Magic? As the thought crossed her mind, she heard a commotion coming from above. Summoning her keyblade, Cielle sprinted up the stairs, skidding to a halt as she spotted a blonde woman in a blue dress freezing some heartless. Her jaw dropped as she realized it was Elsa. It was like she had done a complete one-eighty--gone was her modest dress, replaced with a slinky, admittedly form fitting light blue one with a very pretty see-through cape.

As the last heartless fell, Cielle dismissed her weapon quickly. "Your Majesty, what are you doing here?" She asked.

Elsa nearly jumped out of her own skin, clearly not having been expecting anyone. "...Cielle? How did you find me?" She asked, equally astonished to see her.

"Your sister went running off after you," She informed Elsa. "Did you...create all this?" Despite Cielle's good intention, Elsa seemed somewhat anxious at her observation. "Forgive me, magic has always been one of my interests. You possess a gift--"

"It's not a gift," Elsa was quick to correct her, clasping her hands together with a sigh. "Maybe where you're from it can be seen as one, but for me...it isn't."

Considering Cielle practiced magic on the regular and often studied it, she was genuinely surprised to see the queen have such a negative reaction. No, it made sense, especially how the nobles and townsfolk responded to the queen's ice. Perhaps in this world it was considered a variation of withcraft. A shame, really, as Cielle loved the idea of magic.

She wanted his help?

Noah's jaw dropped at that little revelation. How very interesting! Wait, last he checked, Lily was a good student. Maybe. Probably? Actually, he wasn't completely sure. Noah's distaste for Herbology was obviously due to his lack of talent in the class, but for some reason, he couldn't quite imagine Lily struggling the way he did. Maybe she just wanted better grades than she already had? Noah couldn't help but squint at Lily for a moment, half wondering if she was just messing with him, although when she admitted she needed help with Charms, the universe was truly granting him a blessing unlike the which of he had never seen. He had to make sure he didn't fly off the handle again before he would respond, though he noticed he was getting more looks. Oh, wonderful. His eyes landed on Chloe, who only raised her eyebrow at him curiously, though she motioned for him to respond.

Looking back at Lily, Noah flashed her another grin, nodding a little too enthusiastically. Clearing his throat slightly, Noah was a little more confident, his fame proceeding him, it seemed! "If you'll have me, I don't see why not," He tried to be casual about it, but it was more than obvious that he was excited. "You are in capable hands, my dear classmate. By the time I'm through with you, you'll be so good at Charms everyone will be crowding around you trying to get lessons." Hmm, that sounded better in his head for some reason. Throwing a look at the ivy plant, he scowled at it. "At minimum, I guarantee a passing grade. It'll be fun! We can do a study session!" As the suggestion left him, however, the thought of other people joining them was probably not as good of an idea. He wasn't really sure how to handle tutoring multiple people, and if he didn't have Lily's full attention, it'd probably feel like class. "...or we can do it one on one. Whatever you want." He slowly added, just in case it came off as more appealing.

There was something about being hung onto like a children's toy that Hotaru found herself despising. Her face stung something awful, a weird taste in her mouth. If she was just let go, maybe she could run, or call for help, or something! As if the universe heard her thoughts, Hotaru's flailing feet finally hit the ground. How? There was a slight delay in her thought process as the man that previously held her had released her, though there was little time to fully comprehend the situation at first. A hand had taken hers, an unfamiliar voice telling her they needed to go as it pulled her along. Her legs seemed to move on their own, following her savior's run. Someone had heard her? She didn't think anyone had heard her, let alone had noticed what had been happening during the chaos of the titans.

The titans!

Fear nearly got a hold of her again, though regret had gotten to her first. She had almost forgotten, looking around at the destruction around her. How could any of this be happening? It was too much, she didn't even know how she was still running, though she was honestly just following this person's lead. Said person looked around her age, her light blonde hair bouncing. She had a firm grip on her, which was for the best, though she seemed much more motivated to get them to safety than Hotaru was. Her own mind was a mess, though tears found their way to her. She opened her mouth to say something, anything, though all she could manage was a somewhat choked, "I'm so sorry..." She wasn't entirely sure why she was apologizing.

Cielle’s jaw dropped at Kai’s statement. Wait, what? Her clear blue eyes seemed to search for something as she stared at Kai in complete disbelief. What in the world was he talking about? He wanted her to yell at him? No, he wanted acknowledgement for finally listening to her. Except, why would she give him praise when that’s what he should have been doing this entire time? Either he was delusional or she was mistaken. Yes, that had to be it. Luckily, there was a very easy solution to that: ask him to repeat himself.

Turning towards Kai, Cielle couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at him. “I said it was better, didn’t I?” She asked him slowly.

He glared at her, knowing full well that wasn’t what he meant. What he’d been having the most trouble accepting was, of all the times that Cielle had taken pride in informing Kai about - the way worlds operated, the proper way to fight, and how to be a decent traveling partner - she didn’t seem like she wanted to take a moment to remind Kai that she was right and he was wrong.

“You have been lecturing me since we met. And when I finally listen to you, you don’t bat an eye,” Kai said with a sigh.

Oh, he really was that stupid. Placing her hands on her hips, Cielle couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “If only it had happened sooner,” She commented dryly, turning away from him.

“Oh, I’m sorry! I wasn’t aware you were timing me,” Kai sarcastically stated, grunting annoyingly at her.

Cielle looked at him over her shoulder, furrowing her brow. What a moody child. “If you want approval over an action you should have been doing in the first place, you won’t find it here,” She stated rather bluntly, deciding to say it as plainly as possible to avoid any confusion for the dim-witted keyblade wielder. “This may be a field trip to you, but I take my responsibilities seriously. This isn’t a game!

Kai felt his breaking point was nearing. While he had the potential to go with the breeze and let wind take him wherever it wanted, some days he just had to break free, and give into the storm. “Don’t talk to me like you know me at all - because you don’t. We haven’t known each other long enough for you to have the right to assume how I’m treating this trip,” he angrily told her.

I don’t need to know you to understand your utter lack of understanding,” Cielle replied rather coldly. “What I do know is right now, you’re acting like a child.

“I understand one thing, Cielle.”

This was obviously bait, but considering how her own temper was rising, Cielle hooked onto it. “One thing more than anything I expect.

”I understand that you might resemble Aira, but you two are nothing alike! She is nice and gentle and is patient. You are mean, cruel, and a know-it-all!”

Puffing up slightly, Cielle spun on her heel, marching right up to Kai, her eyes narrowed dangerously. She opened her mouth to say something, anything, she found herself unable to respond. Her eyes searched his for a moment, but she seemed to decide something, instead backing away. “If that is what you truly believe, so be it,” She muttered, shaking her head at him. “Go back to Arendelle. I’ll take care of things from here on out.” She told him as she looked towards the cabin, marching off towards it.

FEELINGExtremely heated.

At firsst, Eva had the urge to scream purely out of spite, but it wasn't until silence came that she realized why Julius did what he did: footsteps indicated that someone was there. Soon after, they quieted down, though she could hear a car turn on and drive away. Was it Noah? Now that she thought about it, she had no idea what Arthur's father did for a living. Unless...it was Arthur that left. But why? No, Arthur was going to come back any second, he was going to see Julius, kick his ass, and hopefully Eva would never have to deal with him again. The denial was pretty strong at the moment, though Julius would (with a hint of pride, she noticed) ask her why she stopped him. God, he was awfully cocky for a guy that had to resort to trickery just to touch her. Feeling his arm around her waist, she placed both her hands on his chest, pushing him away from her. She was receptive because she thought he was Arthur! But once he mentioned how she must have missed his touch, she couldn't help but scowl at him. There was a tiny part of her that believed what he said, that blamed her entirely for letting him get away with how much he did. How could she have not noticed it wasn't Arthur? Did Julius have a point? His touch was familiar, too, and for a split second, memories came rushing back.

Of course, the bad memories came, too, and without thinking, Eva ended up raising her hand and slapping Julius's face in anger. "I can't wait to see you try to talk your way out of this," Eva snapped at him. "Arthur's going to lose it!" As much as she was trying to use it as a threat, the thought actually made her very anxious. If his loyalty was to his family, would he blame her? No, he wouldn't do that...unless Julius decided to expose her by revealing he was the ex she had mentioned. The thought alone made her heart race, and she lowered her scathing gaze. Her temper slowly seemed to subside as she realized the situation she had put herself in, and she ran her hand through her hair nervously. "I don't understand what it is that you want, you didn't want me anymore. You broke up with me!"

Alexander was right, Gigi had genuinely enjoyed herself. She was completely at ease with him, comfortable in his car, her eyes on him. It was becoming increasingly difficult for her not to look at him. The way his eyes practically shined when he spoke was intriguing, and she found the way he spoke somewhat calming. How was this even possible? At the beginning of the school year she couldn't stand to be in the same room with him, much less hold an entire conversation. She was always so curt with him, but he persisted anyway. Was this what he wanted? Was he okay with it? He had to be. But at the same time, she wondered if he just liked the challenge. She remembered asking him what it was that made him chase after her, and his answer at Helene's house seemed genuine enough. The way he said her name was another thing she found herself enjoying immensely, though the reasoning behind it was...complicated.

Tapping her phone with the tips of her fingers, Gigi looked at Alexander once again. He was awfully calm all things considered, nothing like his flustered self from this morning. There were a multitude of thoughts running through her head, though she supposed that she owed him an apology. "Listen...I'm sorry for earlier today," She said quietly, brushing some of her hair off her shoulder. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

Nicely done everyone.
