Exactly, and thats why I'm confused. Hes basically saying no to the silver era of comics, which is why I'm trying to get a clarification on what kind of cutoff date he wants. I make silly fun characters, not serious boring drama bombs which are made every day, and without a point of reference its sorta hard to do that.

First off, for anyone to take this discussion seriously, you should probably stop implying that your characters are silly and therefor better. It was not necessary to imply that it wasn't golden age of comics that are being used here, everyone else seem to understand. In fact, I've seen two golden age games on this site in all of the four years I've been a active member of the RPG community, so I really don't understand where you're getting the notion that anyone does Golden Age stuff. You don't like dramatic characters? What are you then doing in a storytelling scene based around dramatic cues and showmanship? That doesn't make any sense.

I said it once already; Make a new character, or leave. This is nothing but clutter in the OOC.
