He was the leader of a resistance. "Maybe no one would have had to die." He was a criminal in the eyes of the bad people (but not in the eyes of those in the resistance [but still actually a criminal]).

U made that up

your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be applied at the next promptBut seriously, you're right. The only things left for interpretation are who "" is, and the causes of both sides (and what happens next).

I figured it was just the story of a criminal who had finally been caught.

I wrote it in 15 minutes omq that's why there are interpretation endsalso sometimes that's good in a story, particularly this one

But there wasn't much I felt I had to interpret :S
whizzball1 said
Nope. In fact, everything I wrote stemmed from a few sentences thought up in my mind, including one about the resistance. Against what? For what cause? That's left for the reader.

I don't like ends open to interpretation. It feels lazy to me, in most cases. Although I wasn't really left trying to figure anything out in the story, likely because you wrote it in fifteen minutes.

There were a lot of hidden meanings in there. A few examples: Italic them (implying bad people), Maybe they could have won without deaths, that implies a resistance. His problem was that he went down the worst possible path to accomplish what were supposed to be good ends.also it wasn't death row they're planning to use him although I didn't mention that because I didn't have enough time and also it would interrupt the flow

You just made that up m8.

the prompt was lying you get 15 minutesso i made a thing about lyingits supposed to have an ambiguous plot i wrote it in 15 minutes leledit u also have to think of ur ideas in the 15 minutes so yeah

But the plot is straightforward. The dude is a criminal. He's good at lying. He messes up. They catch it. He's put on death row.
