Personality A plus Personality B equals Personality C.
Body Type A plus Body Type B equals Body Type C, and so on.

The way I typically tend to view it is that you exist all the time, but just not in a complete manner. But hey, what do I know about merges? It's one of the few things I've never experienced, and probably won't.
