<Snipped quote by Host>

I always thought and heard that golems are things that were never alive, like a rock, to be given life.

Sure. But if you think about it, the skeleton itself was never alive, it was a part of something alive.
<Snipped quote by Host>

I was honestly curious.

*Scrawls some pictures on a napkin*
I think of a golem as something dead being given life. There’s often some kind of core that keeps it together.
*Draws a large cartoon skeleton*
A skeleton could be a golem, but it could also just be a skeleton. It depends on how it came to life.
<Snipped quote by Host>

Does it?

*Shrugs*
I think so, but you can call it whatever you want in the end.
<Snipped quote by Blabbo>

*Smiles*
If you have a full soul or a part soul, you’re just as much a person to me.

<Snipped quote by Meta>

Oh, that’s…really nice to hear!
*smiles warmly*

*Raises a quizzical eyebrow*
You mean you can’t tell the difference, right?
<Snipped quote by Host>

Wouldn’t that just be a giant skeleton?

<Snipped quote by Meta>

Hmmm, Yeah. I think I know where you are getting at.

It could be. But it has to have a skeleton shape to be a giant skeleton.
<Snipped quote by Host>

But the skeleton of insects are their shells?

Sure, you could make the golem out of insect corpses. You could make one out of human skeletons as well.
<Snipped quote by Meta>

Ah. Huh. I don’t get it, but okay!

<Snipped quote by Host>

So a skeleton?

No, a skeleton is a skeleton. They’re bone-headed creatures that make good soldiers.
<Snipped quote by Host>

Would that be a golem though?

Usually the bugs themselves would be dead, but it counts either way.
<Snipped quote by Host>

I guess…

*Laughs*
Unless you want to try to tell me that a living pile of bugs is cute.
