In 2045 a new form of gaming was released into the public. It was said to be a surreal experience and it didn't disappoint. Paradise, as the game was called, ran on the newly developed game system named The Revelation. Developed by ᴢᴏʟᴛᴀᴄ Industries. The game and it's system were pioneered by a man by the name of Miles Standish. This game has everything any gamer could need. Countless worlds to explore each with their own unique culture and wildlife.

This is where they come in. A small group of friends that have been playing together for about a year or so now. None of them know one another, but they are all good friends despite the distance. Their hangout is a chat-room that the group managed to buy together. They call it 'The Cave.' While being one of the lower tier rooms, it has everything they could possibly need. Together, over the years, they managed to buy several things for the room like couches, games, a TV, books, posters. They made it feel like a home and it was where they spent most of their time.

However, one afternoon, while they were hanging out in The Cave going over what they'd earned that day, one of the members turns on the TV to find something rather horrifying. News that just recently, the main developer of the game had died. Worried, they all immediately look to the news feed, finding that every channel in existence was discussing the young man's death. Hours later, a message pops up on their internal screens. The late Miles Standish's avatar appears before every player currently in the game and begins to speak to them.

"Hello fellow adventurers, assassins, mercenaries, bards, etc etc. I think it's due time that I explain the situation to you. I have a little proposition for all of you." He begins, his face masked in blackness.

"If you can discover the secrets I have placed through the game, then I will give you all of my vast riches and you shall live like a king." He continued, turning his head slightly as if looking at something in the distance. "There is no time limit, however... knowing the clever nature of the lot of you, I'd encourage you to work in haste. There will only be one winner."

"I won't be handing out any clues so... This is all I offer you. Good Luck." He finished, the screen blipping out as the characters returned to the reality of the situation. In each of their inboxes is a small book icon labeled, "Book of Life"

There are rumors that float around.. strange rumors that Standish isn't dead. And that another rival company is after all of his secrets. F.A.Z.E. is an organization that showed it's ugly mug a few months after the announcement of Standish's death. Their mission? Get his riches and shut down the server so that they can launch their own without resistance.

Welcome to... Paradise!

Rules

1) One character per person.
2) Respect is a must. Disrespect will not be dealt with in any case.
3) Metagaming is a no-no. Same with sexual themes. This is NOT a romance centered RP. There can be romance, but it will not be a centerpiece of the RP.
4) Mary/Gary Sues are bad. Your character should have flaws, give them some! (It'll make your character better and more interesting, I promise.)
5) Characters may start at Level 5. No higher. They can start at any level below that. If you're planning on making a character any higher than that, please discuss it with the GM first. Up until level 10, players in game are required to stay at the starter planet and attend school. Leveling up is a fairly slow process but shouldn't take long.
6) Three Line Minimum
7) Have fun!!

In order to have a balanced party, there will be slots for different classes. We don't want 4 blademasters and 3 marksmen. We need variety. So... Here are your choices and what has been taken. Claim them before they're gone!

--In place of slots, I've elected to let people be whatever they want. However, when a CS is posted for approval, if you chose a class that is already being used, we may deny you to keep things balanced in terms of party members. So just be aware of that when creating your characters.

The Harp listened intently to those that chose to speak and it appeared as if the figure smiled though no one really knew. Though, as much as the Harp wanted to listen to the rest of them, another hooded figure came rushing into the meeting room and bent down to whisper something in the Harp's ear.

"I'm sor---Harp. It lo-----------the Lost--------village--------dying-------time."

The Harp nodded slowly, something about the figure's posture suddenly shifted. It's back got straighter and it leaned forwards slightly. "Change of plans. Shae, expect a letter to be delivered to you about the plans for the group. It seems things will need to be put into action much sooner than we anticipated." The Harp explained, it's voice suddenly sounded almost rushed and frantic. "Please show your team to the airship and give them the details when they are given to you. You'll all be dropped off at the location, expect Lost to be there when you arrive. No time to rest, be on high alert." It explained shortly, and was suddenly out of the room in a flash, white and gold robes whipping about as it flew past the door.

Isa blinked, her lips pursed. "Well, that's certainly odd." She remarked, never having seen the Harp seem so flustered.

(Bitty post is bitty, sorry.)

Lily blushed at Crash's remark about Carmen. Her hands came together as she nervously rubbed her ring finger. It still felt like they'd only just started dating for real and she still felt flashes and pangs of heartache when she wasn't with Carmen. Being able to sense her help though. She knew where Carmen was should anything happen to her or should Lily need her.

She raised her brow as Crash began to come clean about who he was really looking for and her eyes went wide as he suddenly disappeared from her sight. She looked around to see his form crashing towards the garden. With a puff of purple smoke, he'd changed and then changed back once out of the thorn bush.

Graceful as always. She mused.

She covered her mouth to suppress the laughter that threatened to tarnish her image. She tried to compose herself, not able to wipe away the grin on her face and the random grunting noises she made when trying to hold back the laughter. "You certainly have a way of living up to people's expectations of you." She told him, suddenly letting the laughter out. She chuckled for about 30 seconds before calming down.

"Come on, Mr. Accident Prone. Let's get you to the infirmary. Some pain meds and bandaids should fix you right up." She told him, holding out a hand for him. When he did grab it, he'd feel a warm feeling wash over him as Lily extended her energy to heal him ever so slightly. She felt the waves of dull pain seep over her as she took bits of it from him. She'd learned this trick over the years. Before she couldn't control how much she healed and now that she was in an important position, she had to look out for herself too.

No more healing burn victims and then getting hospitalized for them. Those days were... ehm... over.

Yato's cheeks went red when she replied to his comment about her kiss. He swallowed as he watched her eat her food. When she asked for more, he silently nodded and tore off another piece for her, this time a bit bigger so she could tear off pieces for herself.

"Eat slowly. If your body is used to the food, your stomach may get more upset than it was. And don't put too much into your mouth, you'll choke." He explained. As he watched her eat, he walked over and grabbed a biscuit for himself. Dunking it into a nearby vat of butter, he tore a hunk out of it with his teeth and began to eat himself. He shouldn't eat too much. His body definitely wasn't used to eating this early in the morning.
He chuckled again, a low sort of rumble and a content smile fell onto his face, almost like a blanket settling down comfortably. He moved his hand away and revealed the cut to Lux, letting her look at it. It was slightly red from irritation but the blood had already stopped flowing. "With your kiss, any wound would heal, Lux." He told her, smiling. If anyone had saw him, they would have dropped dead on the spot. Yato? Being sweet to someone? Hell, he even yelled at his sister for being scared.

"Let me get you something to eat." He told her, and quickly turned to grab a small biscuit from a nearby tray. "Here, try this." He told her, ripping off a small piece of it for her to try. "Put it in your mouth, chew it, and then swallow." He explained, not knowing if she knew how or not but not wanting her to choke. God forbid, he was going to become paranoid with her around. More so than he already was with all the threats on his life. Things would get interesting, that much was certain.
Yato's eyes went wide as Lux started crying. He suddenly bolted up from his position and began looking around the room as if something in it would help him make the waterworks stop. "Ahhh... Umm... Don't... Don't cry." He stammered, a pained expression on his face. "Stop crying right now!" He told her in a firm voice, his brows furrowed in worry. Oh, dear lord... He didn't know what to do with a crying Lux. She was so small and he felt like with one touch he could crush her.

And the kiss had his finger burning up now. He could still feel the tiny lips on his finger. What a strange pair they were becoming. He lifted his hand and placed it gently on her head, rubbing it ever so gently. "Please, don't cry..." He whispered, his voice cracking.
"You should get used to it." He told her, his face once again expressionless. "That isn't going to stop anytime soon." He continued, feeling his stomach knot up. He felt like he'd hurt her just now but he'd never known any differently. What was it like to tell someone to do something for you without having to yell at them?

It felt like a magic trick he couldn't ever figure out. How to gain respect without demanding it. It was something his father had never gotten the hang of, but his older brother seemed to know well despite not being able to claim the throne.

While he was thinking, Lux was poking at a steak knife and when he heard her ask what it did, he turned to look at her. Noticing it, his eyes went wide. "Don't touch that!" He yelled, almost diving for the knife. He cut his finger pushing the knife away from her as it slid across the table and fell to the floor with a loud clang. He sighed a breath of relief and laid his head against the table to catch his breath. He began to wonder if this was what having a child was like. Constant worry. If so, he didn't want one. "That's a knife. It's used to cut things and it can be very dangerous." He explained, lifting up his head to inspect his finger. The cut wasn't very deep but there was a small droplet of blood that began to pool up and drip down his middle finger. "See? So, don't touch anything please... For me?" He asked, sending her a pleading look. He didn't know if he could take this much worry.
"Mmm." He mumbled, her voice pulling him away from his thought. "You can come out now." He told her, holding out his hand. As he waited for her to come out, he softly walked over to the doors to lock them, careful not to knock her about.

He knew that she probably wanted to know about what all had happened but he'd rather just ignore it for now. If she asked, he'd probably snap at her. He hoped she wouldn't but knew she would eventually.

When all was done and the windows curtains were pulled, Yato placed Lux on the table in the center of the room and walked around trying to find something for her to eat. "Fancy anything particular?" He asked, forgetting she had no knowledge of food and therefore wouldn't have any fancy for anything other than for her stomach to stop moving about oddly.
