His lips curved up into probably the largest smile he'd had since his childhood as she settled in in his pocket. With that, he made hast for the kitchen, his smile quickly fading as he passed by the first maid he laid eyes on. She stopped and bowed deeply as he passed. His face turned into a scowl as he remembered. He was a prince and that meant that many, many people would be kind to him simply because of that title. He knew it was childish to even care about something so minor, but it honestly bothered him that very few people, even his little sister, saw the Yato behind the Prince. It was like no one ever looked past the 'Prince" bit of his name when reading or talking to him. The Yato part of his name didn't matter. 2nd Prince was all that mattered.

As he walked, he noticed the rose red fabric on the floor to his right and followed the trail up to his mother's face. She held a soft smile there as she spoke to one of the older officials, her arm wrapped around his. Yato stopped as the paired walk past, his expression blank. The Queen's jet black hair was pulled up into an intricate bun and her dressed was accented with deep rose reds, a large black lace jeweled necklace around neck. When she was long gone, Yato picked up again, walking along the corridor to the kitchen, trying not to think too much on his ailing father and cheating power hungry mother.

"Morning." He called out curtly, as the maids all turned to look at him, gasping with wide eyes. The oldest one, after a moment, stepped forward.

"Your Highness." She greeted him, bowing deeply. As she did, the rest of the maids and cooks followed. After she rose again, she continued, "How may we help you?"

"Get out. All of you, get out." He told him, his expression still blank. The older woman's eyes went wide but soon settled. She'd been here the longest.

"I'm afraid that would be unwise, Prince. We need to prepare the meal for the Queen's guests." She told him.

"How many of them are there?" He asked, already tired of the conversation.

"Five, Your Highness." She replied.

"What you have will suit them just fine. Take it and get out." He told her, and began moving into the room.

"Your Hi-" She began.

"GET OUT!" Yato shouted, turning to glare at the woman, obviously irritated at everything that had happened that morning already. The woman flinched and moments later was shooing everyone out of the kitchen with what they'd prepared previously. It wasn't like his mother would get onto him for this anyway. He'd probably hear some lecture by a butler later on, probably Greg. He was the only one that wouldn't take Yato's crap.

Another chuckle escaped Yato's lips. "You're probably just hungry. You know..." He started, pausing slightly as he formed the thought, "I wish I had the power to keep you out in the open and protect you but... I just don't right now. But... I'll get there, Lux. I promise." He told her, making a promise with someone he'd just met, a new record for him.

"Let me put on a coat and I'll put you in the pocket and we can both head to the kitchen." He told her as he pulled the coat over his arms. This would be a first for him too. Going to the kitchen for breakfast? The maids would probably keel over from shock. His first move was to usually go to his office to get some work done, but this would be nice too. Maybe he could convince the maids to get out so he could sit with Lux out in the open in there. Close all the windows...

He began to long for a small cottage somewhere where he could take Lux and be free from worry. But... Little People weren't exactly normal around here. In fact, he shouldn't be so calm about this but something about her warmed him up and he wanted to keep her, strange small person or not. No... even if she were his size, her presence comforted him for some reason. He let out a small sigh, a content sigh, and walked over to Lux with a soft smile held on his face. He lifted his hand for her to climb onto and once she was there pulled it up to the front pocket of his coat, a robe really, but all the same.
"Yeah. Doctor's fix people. But they wouldn't be used to someone as small as you are. The doctors I know are all used to people my size. I fear they might try to hurt you if they knew you existed." He told her. "It would take me a while to explain why so just trust me on that." He told her.

When he was changing, he heard her saying something about not feeling right. He realized then, with his hands still gripping the boxers he was pulling up, that she was watching him. He turned, his face beet red, and he suddenly lost his balance and fell over. He scrambled for a few seconds before shooting back up and nearly giving himself a wedgie by pulling his underwear up so fast. His face still red, he continued dressing before he turned to address Lux.

It wasn't like he hadn't been with women before but... she was different. It was like being naked in front of a 5 year old. It felt weird.

"What's wrong?" He asked, hoping she'd ignore what had just happened.
"is sleeping necessary?"

An involuntary chuckle came out of his mouth. He'd been doing that a lot since this small girl appeared in his life. "Yes. I suppose you and I both agree that it shouldn't be. But, sadly. It is." He responded, sighing deeply.

"are you alright?" she asked "you don't look the same, and you look upset, did something happen?" her face paled "did i do something wrong? are you mad at me?" she starting looking around rather frantically. "if i made you mad i'm sorry" she added "i didn't mean to"

He raised a brow at her, feeling his body react to seeing her so close to the edge, he inched closer, ready to catch her should she fall over, though he wouldn't have recognized the signs then. "I'm fine, Lux. Nothing happened." Absolutely nothing... He sighed quickly before smiling at her. "You would know if I were mad at you." He told her, turning to walk towards his dresser. "But, get away from the edge there. If you fall, there's not much I can do to save you. I don't think going to a doctor as you are would be very smart and I don't trust any of the doctors here. They're all paid for by my mother." He explained before he began getting dressed, completely unaware of Lux still being in the room.
@Driving Park ydoh.

Also, I'm good. Spring Break n all. Chillin and doing schoolwork because life hates me, but it's all good. I've been doing cleaning n housework for my folks and ye. It's all gud. :3
@LetMeDoStuff I didn't think it wouldn't be?

However, usually when people ask it tends to drop off the face of the earth the moment they do.
I'm just busy with school work and relaxing on my break. I'll try to get post out today but when no one is really active in OOC it doesn't speak wonders to the activity within the IC.

Who all is still around, besides LetMe?
Well, I managed a post for Athalia, but I think I'm going to wait for the morning to get one out for this. It's late (LOL... I'm getting old if this is late.) and I'm tired. I've been in a bus almost all day and a car for the other half of it. So ye.

...But our pep band won... for the fourth year in a row. So there's that.

There was only one other band this year.
I'm half convinced it's because most of them don't like us.

"Have you been studying medicine alongside your job here?"

"Yeah. It's slow considering I have to learn from books. But I'm hoping that we can find a doctor around here willing to give me the time of day to teach me." Lily explained, shrugging. Either way, she was going to do what she could.

"Maybe it's because it's who you are. I don't think it's entirely your heritage...I think its you. You're a healer through and through, its in your heart and your soul"

Lily sighed, a ragged sigh that shuttered with unease. For some reason she couldn't shake the feeling that that wasn't it. Then again, she was becoming more and more paranoid these days. It was like in the movies when everything started getting really happy and nice, you just sort of expect something really terrible around the corner. Maybe she was just over thinking it.

"Besides, isn't there a famous quote...erm...something like there's knowledge in knowing who you are and doing what you're meant to"

At his words, Lily smile weakly and nodded, not really able to convince herself regardless. "Thanks, Crash." She replied simply, not sure what else to add.

When he asked if she would walk with him, she smiled brightly and nodded. "Of course." She spoke before shuffling over to his side. She chuckled when he asked if she knew who was there. "I do, and I don't. I have a rough idea of those around and when they get close enough and I know them, I can tell right away. I know Carmen's around... I uh... I keep tabs on her. Andro, Ryuu and some boy I'm fairly unfamiliar with and... I think... that's Oliver? It's a little strange but he's there. He's probably out of his body..." She explained, staring blankly ahead as she paid attention to the auras around them. "Other than that, it's all relatively faint. I could extend my reach but that would leave me weak and I need to conserve energy in case students like you cause trouble." She added, lightly pushing his shoulder. "Why? Is there... someone you're looking for?" She asked him, raising a brow.

@FaithsRose

"is that your name?"

Eric's face went beet red again, and he swallowed hard. He was royally screwing this up as usual. He should be used to it by now, but no. It was still tough. When she turned to leave, he reached out his hand to her but stopped when he saw the floating teacher. He blinked and realizing who it was, promptly stopped, his hand still hovering over An's shoulder.

"Ahh... M-My name's Eric... I... I feel like... I feel like I should take you to t-the infir-mary. Yo-You might fall again." He spoke, sputtering the last bit of it out so quickly she might not have even understand him. And then, as if he felt rude for ignoring the teacher, Eric looked up at Oliver and nodded quickly.

Lucy, meanwhile, was staring at Ryuu and then at Oliver, her small doodled eyes clear and grey. She tilted her head slightly, still seated on Eric and held out her arms to Ryuu. "Could I hang out with him?" She asked turning to look at Eric.

Eric, feeling nervous as hell, simply nodded, not putting much thought into the fact the Ryuu had no idea that in roughly an hour, Lucy would almost literally dissolve.

"Yay! Ryuu, Ryuu, Ryuu!" She shouted, grinning at him. "Can I sit on your shoulder?" She asked, sitting crosslegged on Eric's.

Lots of peeps, but mostly, @NarayanK and @Animelover_princess

While Oliver went to find Ryuu, Maria made it her task to find Britnia. Lily would always be easy to find since she hardly ever left the library or the infirmary. Britnia would be harder. ...Much harder since Maria had no idea where the fairy child was and she had a limited amount of time before orientation started.

"Ohhhh, Briiiitnia?" Maria called out in a sing-song voice, hoping someone had a clue as to where she was. This whole no magic thing was a pain in the ass.

@chukklehed
@Driving Park Oh. LOL. Your instagram confused me. I was like, "Wait, what? What about Carmen?"
