Ooh. Sounds quite interesting. What would the Faera call such a creature? They seem to be fans of letters such as K,F,S and E. Perhaps their name could be based off the island they inhabit; I was thinking Kailisila. Myths would probably gravitate towards the place the Faera believe they originated from. Kailimawe? Silanu? Uhhhh. Kailesian? I'm just spit balling at this point.

Those and vowels in general. In wheel of fortune they would be buying vowels all the time.

Even I forgot the name of the island they originate from. Let me check...

They would add "ian" like humans do to denote things like "freudian", if that's where you're going with it. Kailimawe sounds cool. Their names have a slight Hawaiian mixed with African sound to them too. That island has a lot of other dangerous creatures on it too so if faera schoolgirls went there it would be quite deadly. Maybe there's a safer, sister island to that one.
Appearance:
Y00-17 stands at exactly 6'2 and weighs 710 pounds. His exoskeleton is made mostly up of Feerilesh, although Metalhead's body also incorporates other, tougher metals for increased protection. Y00-17's design was inspired by Faera myth.

Equipment:
Y00-17 wields the IG Defender, an Elzion full-automatic machine pistol with a 35 round magazine. The weapon possesses an extremely fast rate of fire and is incredible light and compact, allowing for ease of use in the commonly compact corridors of a spaceship or a spacefighter.

Wow. Someone's done his research. Looks like I have a prime candidate for future moderator on my hands. Even bravely navigating the poorly edited Faera matriarchy page.

You can feel free to edit the IG weapon series page if desired to include that weapon.

What Faera myth are we going with? Maybe some creature that roams one of the islands, eating up all the troublemakers? Luckily it can't swim and you have to pour water on it's head to stop it and then become a good citizen or something. It could be a trial of courage for young Faera to row a boat to that island and walk around it at night. There's no other dangerous creatures outside, not including the ones you could find almost anywhere anyways.

Speaking of myths, I forgot to mention, but gods can be another name for High Beings, a race in another dimension called Chahara Vee (or the high dimension). Some races claim they are just a normal race, others claim that they were gods, some claim they don't exist. Some only recognize the gods who are part of their mythology, claiming the rest are false. Most stories are embellishments.

Quick question: are human names similar to names on Earth, I.E. John, Nate, Peter, etc. or are they completely different?

Great question. They wouldn't be earthling names. It depends a lot on culture exactly what their names would be like, such as how American names can be vastly different than Japanese and you can instantly tell the difference if from their culture. Most would sound like how people would name fantasy characters. They look easy to read typed out in english, unlike some alien names.

Some could be earthling names but would say, "Oh, that's actually a coincidence. I'm an exendrian human, not from earth"
I posted the list. Most of the most important races are included. However, I still have a twi'lek inspired race, and AI race, and a fox race to include into that category. And maybe a badger race that are freed slaves will also be most important. Will have to work on them tomorrow.

EDIT: Oh, and one not yet part of the alliance that seems too much in appearance to a falleen race from star wars so I'm thinking of changes to them.
I'm about 60% done with the races. I have a ton of them already so that's why it's taking so long.
I'll look at the posted character sheets once I do the basic race info but before posting the bokite's more in depth info, I suppose.
@ImportantNobody Do you have a standarded spacefighter in mind for the pilots?

I will get to typing up my idea once the races are posted. I'll use part two of my opening post, the post I reserved, for the basic information on races, equipment, planets, etc. that will be important and then get to more in depth info on the wiki.

The standard spacefigther for cramped conditions, such as our ship, is given the nickname the Box Kite, later abbreviated to Bokite, and then called the Bow fighter. A slight nod to the tie fighters in star wars. Get it? Bow tie? I'm here all week!

They are very cheap and don't have landing gear or anti-gravity so if they have to land on a planet it's a crash landing. They are light and manueverable and are decent at firepower. Defense could be better. Their nose cone can be replaced for different weapons.

There's a few other spacefighter models that could be considered standard but the Exeralune would definitely use bokites.
I'm going through my list of races and creating abridged descriptions of them now. If that description interests you then you can see more info on the wiki.
RACES

VERY IMPORTANT RACES

Aunarri - An extremely powerful grey race and leader of the GAN empire to the east of the galaxy. They are known for being attractive and formal. They have three structures on their forehead where the hair would be that gives them the nickname of "tri-heads". It looks like short tentacles wrapping backwards on their head, but more firm in place like cartilage. Similar in appearance to a race from Mass Effect.

Bord - Stature like a relatively hairless grey gorilla with large muscles, clawed hands that can be used like shovels, and square-ish heads with a small pair of tusks on their bottom jaws. They are known as the most prominent mining race within the UNT. They can assemble a very powerful fighting force very quickly and love to go big with their designs.

Human - Originated in Andreemea, but some evolved in the Milky Way as well to become Earthlings. Exendrian humans are the most prominent group of humans and are known for golden irises, dark skin, and a mixed race look. Ahsuda are an asian looking group of humans. Xern humans are from the planet Xern and allied themselves with the GAN empire.

Faera - An all female race of blue/purple humanoids that is extremely populous, as both parents can get pregnant at the same time should they desire, rather than only having half of the population able to get pregnant. They are a UNT member but in the north outside their original borders, making them like a head honcho in their neck of the woods. Their military strength is also impressive.

Gurran - Conservative humanoid beings with leathery grey skin and armored fingers/toes due to walking across scorching deserts and picking at poison laced thorns on cactus containing a liquid needed for their babies. They have fancy head crests extending up from their forehead that is great pride to the men. Their military might is impressive and they are leaning towards the militaristic side.

Inorr - They can be thought of as similar to Klingon from Star Trek to get the basic idea of what they are about. They are somewhat like humanoid frogs with ridges running along their rough skin, and small spikes protruding backwards at their hairline. Women in their culture are not expected to fight.

Kirridi - Catgirls. Of course there are men too. They are a UNT member.

Mon Kett - Like monkeys. They have a decently powerful military and part of the UNT. Their name was from a typo of monkey so though it was funny enough to include.

Morda Lan - Humanoid insects with slim white exoskeletons. They are known as the most powerful magic using race in the UNT. As such they hold a lot of power in the alliance and can be found all over it.

Nihn - They are somewhat similar in appearance to humanoid lions. They are in the top 5 most populous races in the galaxy so can be found all over, especially in the west. As such, many joined the UNT but they also have their own ancient empire.

Nimin - Stereotypes as a geeky race, which is mostly very true. They are very slender and have two patches on the sides of their head that serves as a more primitive, secondary set of eyes. Their fingers and toes are long and slightly webbed. They are not particularly aggressive but some take part in the UNT military.

Phrariuen - A weird, laky, hammer headed, blow hole sporting aquatic race that's known for having the best navy in the UNT.

Rawnpolli - Their face shape is similar to owls and their feet have three toes (one facing backwards) and talons; their fingers being similar but not one facing backwards, instead being a thumb. However, they are more closely like reptiles and have small scales. They are extremely populous, the top 5 most so in the galaxy, so can be found all over. Some are part of the UNT, and that some still equals a large number.

Umeii - An aquatic race with coral-like structures on their body and a tail that can eject water like a jet. They are the most powerful of the elemental alliance, which is part of the UNT, comprised of a water (themselves), earth (U'icha), and air race.

Valliur - Founding race of the UNT, leader fighting against Yu Ghreda forces in a war long past. Often admirals but not very populous now. Super high tech. Tall and lanky with long, rectangular heads.

Yu Ghreda - Founding race of the UNT, leader fighting against Valliur forces in a war long past. Tall, muscular, green skinned humanoids.

Yuelsei - The top most populous race in Andreemea, scattered throughout the galaxy. They have pink toned skin, very long pointed ears, with dark pink fur on the back that matches their hair. Their eyes are larger and further apart than humans. Their nose is thin and pointed.

MODERATELY IMPORTANT RACES

Andorr - Have rounded armored skullcaps, backs, and tails, resembling a humanoid dinosaur to some extent, but their face is more human. They are a UNT member and don't specialize in anything in particular as a whole.

Chidrini - Secretive, colorful fairy race which does what they want and often act as spies and has powerful magic.

Chirill - Humanoid bug race that's militaristic and not entirely trusted with their fellow UNT members but is getting better. They use quantity over quality and aren't good with vehicles.

Cyturn - Race that surrounds themselves in powerful cybernetic suits, making them like elite soldiers of the GAN empire. They cannot survive well without the suit due to messed up DNA.

Ferun - Found mostly in the northwest and are militaristic. They change their bodies when becoming adults to fit one of five great tribes based on different elements. This changes their fur color and other characteristics. They are very religious and courageous.

Furzai - Look sort of like werewolves from earthling mythology, but don't transform. They are in the far west of UNT territory and their donated planet to the alliance serves as a sector headquarters there. They are not very populous in outside sectors, however.

Ghee - Officially named Ghyrtykmaw, they are like humanoid gophers standing 4 feet tall. They can have different hair colors and patterns but most in the brown, tan, black, white range. They are an extremely populous member of the GAN empire and often a butt of jokes due to their focus on quantity over quality, making them like canon fodder comic relief whenever they show up. However, due to their numbers and with proper backing from the GAN, they can overwhelm most opponents rather quickly.

Gurhha - Looks sort of like a mi between a humanoid dog and pig. They are probably the most powerful race in the GAN empire after the Aunarri. They are intelligent and good eaters despite looking like a race thought to be sloppy.

Selva - Like elves, but in space.

Tan'ghei - Loyal dog-like race.

MINOR IMPORTANT RACES

Drenor - Manly human men inspired by the movie 300.

Einein - Can change their tails into different shapes at will. Mostly pirates and are bad at it. They are grey skinned, 4.5 feet tall, and have some horns.

Gheiss - A mercenary race with a dog eat dog culture. They are purple skinned and have chiseled bodies with two rubbery looking horns and dark hair.

Jurra - A wimpy looking humanoid bird-like race that's peace loving and often partakes in humanitarian and religious events. Not a very common race, however.

Ka'thik'rhhi - Like millipedes but intelligent and often makes good engineers who crawl into equipment to see what's wrong, or even sabotage the enemy's.

Korrvain - Dwarf-like beings working for the GAN empire.

Korworffian - Like corgis but standing on two legs. They are eager to please but often fails, especially in military endeavors, despite having decently large numbers.

Meinauw - Slightly large housecats with four ears and hold more power than what most would think possible. They san spray a hormone on someone to call for felines to relentlessly attack them. Don't cross them.

Molluun - A legged snail-like race known for their slow wit. Only important because some joking references may be made about them.

Oon'o - Giant crab-like race that's a member of the GAN empire.

Quoldar - The first race to develop space travel. Like very large armored slugs with arms.

Teeraphals - A rich, cone headed race with floppy ears and blue skin.

Teloran - Beings with rock-like skin.

U'icha - Plant-like beings.

Veenar - Diamond-shaped structure on their head. They are smalland child-like. They are known for being decent at magic but cowards.

Veiriss - They have chalky white skin pointed ears, grey hair, dark eyes, and slim but very powerful bodies. They are super skilled assassins, as that's all most of them know.
INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the galaxy of Andreemea, a unique sci-fi setting from which will spawn multiple roleplays in the future. This roleplay specifically is the primary base of operations for Andreemea and part of Wave 1 of it's roleplays. However, one does not have to join this roleplay to take part in other roleplays in the setting, or have to join other roleplays if taking part in this one. Although highly ambitious, people with a more casual outlook on things can still join and appreciate what this roleplay has to offer.

Participants are encouraged, if they so wish, to participate in many creative ways to flesh out the galaxy. Feel free to submit alien race and planet ideas, for but a few examples of what you can do. If not, there will be plenty of stuff created by me or other eager roleplayers to chose from...or just play as a simple human. I'm not judging.

RESOURCES

Wiki

Multiple different resources can be used for this roleplay to help organize things. Although all of the necessary information can be found in the OOC, you can see tons of extra background information and reminders of what things are at a simple glance at the Andreemea Wiki found HERE.

For example, in a post in the IC we might not have time to explain every detail of a certain alien, so we might just know them by their race name and perhaps their green skin or something. However, with the wiki available to you, a page may be made to paint a far better picture of them! Of course it would be nice if we could explain everything that well IC, but that's not always realistic, and people might forget over time what was said in a certain post, having to hunt through pages and even across roleplays to find what they are looking for.

That being said, the wiki will be a highly valuable tool at our disposal, and while not 100% needed, it's highly recommended. At the time of this writing the wiki is not entirely up to date everywhere due to how much work is needed, but it still has a tons of very helpful pages and will be fixed up in the coming weeks in areas most relevant to current IC situations.

Chatzy

Not nearly as important as the wiki, but still a great asset for quick back and forth communication; not clogging up the OOC and having to keep refreshing to see if a reply has come in. Also good if what is being said doesn't really need to be recorded for all time on the OOC. Just head to that chatroom and type back and forth in real time. It can be found HERE.

SETTING

Background:

Andreemea is a far away galaxy that's connected to our own through a wormhole that was traversed by us earthlings in our calendar's year of 2195 ad, although with a history altered in some ways to account for some alien involvement. The galaxy is separated into 81 different sectors and the wormhole sent us into Sector 70.

However, earthlings aren't the main focus of the galactic narrative. There exist thousands of races spread throughout the galaxy, many of which are far grander than us. A collection of races called the UNT was found at the location we entered and can be thought of as the most powerful good guy alliance within the galaxy, even if some others disagree. They were formed 6,130 years prior after a great war threatened to destroy most of the "civilized" galaxy with their advanced technology. With warring races teaming up and signing agreements that were also signed by many others in the galaxy not even a part of the UNT, they banned weapons of mass destruction, which includes things such as sending meteors on a collision course to unleash devastation on a planet. Although war still continues in much of the galaxy, at the very least they can rest easy knowing that they won't tear apart the entire galaxy itself for the time being.

Magic

Souls exist and are vital for magical abilities. Magic originated as physical energy generated by the Soul that became powerful enough to create an aura. It allowed the individual to achieve feats not normally possible, gaining more and more powerful as this magical aura evolved down the generations. It was eventually possible to extend their aura out of their body and connect with the aura of others, turning it into a web of energy called magiwaves that now permeate much of the known galaxy.

At this point it was considered magic as they needed to create what are called "magical formations" in the magiwaves to their bidding, what can be thought of as 3-dimensional glowing runes (only visible by those who can sense magiwaves or certain technology). Their soul energy flows out and is what does the manipulation of the magiwaves into said formations, different ones creating different spells, and every minor alteration in the formation gives a magical spell it's unique flavor to the magic user that's insanely hard to duplicate exactly. There's too large of a number of different magic available to list. Simple ones such as throwing a small fire would require a relatively easy formation that may take about three seconds of concentration to achieve, given a moderate amount of practice.

Some organisms who use aura couldn't or wouldn't achieve magic while others have a mix of aura and magic. Even organisms such as plants have souls that give off magiwaves. However, not everyone or everything can use magic or aura by any means, as they must be able to use their soul energy. This requires much practice and is simply not possible in a lot of individuals. Some races have this talent far more frequently than others. With training, most people with any capability in aura/magic can at least use aura to enhance their physical abilities to some extent, even if nothing else.

Magic can be used from technology by a magirite gem etched with a magical formation through a special process, combined with magitrinail, saturating the gem while spinning at high speeds and acting as the soul energy to spark the formation into life. Magic done this way is rarely as powerful as organic users unless the gem and magitrinail is of very high quality.

Technology

As you might have guessed, there's a wide variety of high level technology available. Obvious stuff are not needing to be mentioned, but I shall list certain technology that is important to know about. If it's not listed then it may or may not be possible. Weapons of mass destruction are possible but banned throughout much of the galaxy for those capable of doing so. Weapons are still far more deadly in small scale, so someone shooting a pistol would possibly be able to destroy our earth tanks from the year 2016. Their armor is also far stronger yet far lighter.

Anti-Gravitational Field Generator - Inhibits the ability of gravitons to interact with an object, allowing it to float.

Cosmodrive - Allows an object to interact with an invisible energy/wave called cosmowaves as if it's an atmosphere. This allows dogfighting in space and faster than light travel as it takes advantage of the malleable nature of cosmowaves to bend it in a process commonly called "diving". Diving takes more powerful cosmodrives.

Elzion Particles - Looks like glowing energy and what people would mistake as being lasers in various sci-fi shows. They can behave like bullets while in a high energy state, held loosely together in a glob, or while in a low energy state they can be attracted by what is called an energy net (specialized nanomachines) to form together into solid shapes like a sword. Lastly they can be used as energy similar to electricity in it's neutral state. Energy shells hold elzion particles and can be found in anything from guns to tanks, sending out energy in the desired form to power different functions.

Cloning - Possible. However, cloning people's magical/special abilities doesn't work without a legendary magic to also clone parts of the soul of a person, which isn't possible normally. This leaves normal clones relatively weak.

Warp - You can use cosmodrives to bend cosmowaves and travel to a location very quickly, possibly instantaneously if the cosmowave can be warped completely by a perfect cosmodrive, which is only theoretically possible at best. Plus you wouldn't find adequate cosmowaves on planets so would only work in deeper space anyways. Other "warping" technology is simply copying the makeup of an object and printing it elsewhere. This would be more akin to cloning someone at another location if used on a person, as the soul would not be transported by currently known technology.

AI and Robotics - Artificial intelligence has largely been in steep decline after a robotic race called the virous was able to corrupt military robots and tern them against their creators, almost resulting in the UNT being destroyed in it's infancy. Any large scale number of such things swiftly becomes a huge target for them, so it's gone widely out of practice. However, small numbers of combat robotics and AI still exist and some AI races of old have managed to withstand corruption more easily, allowing them to flourish where others have failed. Some other rare exceptions also exist.

Cyborgs - Due to the existence of souls, people's bodies tend to go wackier the more robotics are attached to them. Some races and individuals can withstand becoming cyborgs to a certain extent a lot easier, while on a large scale it's not possible or practical due to the risks involved. In one case gone horribly awry, a large population of a planet turned into what amounts to cybernetic zombies. This incident has scared many off of the practice and stereotypes/fear of cyborgs remains ingrained in society to this day.

PLOT

Faith in the UNT is starting to fade in a lot of people's hearts as they simply have too much territory to properly govern and protect everyone within their borders. Some planets and races are bound to be left out, and this breeds resentment that can slowly build against the government, even against those trying to do the right thing. Something must be done to address these concerns before full scale riots break out. Not much progress has been made, and some would say that the situation is even worsening.

It's now the year Twentythree 224 gt (23,224 years since the first recorded space flight that began the galactic timeline). This is equivalent to the year 2629 ad for the Earthlings.

A mysterious bounty hunter named Sahvin Bel stole an outdated prototype of an Outreach Class Scout Cruiser from a scrap yard. Things took a turn for the bizarre when he sent it back on autopilot months later, heavily upgraded and with an AI program installed called ANI. They wanted to aid the UNT with the condition that nothing be done to harm ANI or remove her from the ship. Although suspecting a trap, port authorities found nothing suspicious on board. Still hesitant on what to do with the ship, called the Exeralune, a man going by the code name Hidden Eagle said that he'd take command of the ship and assemble a crew.

His mission? To use the ship to restore people's faith in the UNT. He vowed to spend the rest of his days flying around the galaxy, protecting the innocent and aiding others in whatever way he and his crew could manage. Even if ANI was watching as a spy, all she'd see is the good that they were doing for the galaxy. Plus, Hidden Eagle highly doubted that she would turn on them, for unexplained reasons.

It's now their first mission together as a crew, having blasted off from the UNT Sector 49 Headquarters planet of Elistore. Traveling northeast for a day and half of the night to reach a distress signal, they're given a rude awakening when a ship that they have never seen before, one about their own size, violently cross paths with them. After sizing each other up, a combination of boarding party ships and spacefighters are sent out from the enemy as the capital ships themselves prepare to fire upon each other.

And so begins our long series of adventures...

EPISODES

This roleplay will follow an episodic format. Some plotlines carry over, but most episodes follow their own self contained story. Before each episode starts, everyone participating can vote on which plot they'd like to go with for that episode. You may submit your own plot ideas giving however little or much information you desire. However, expect more votes the more exciting and vivid you make your idea. They don't have to all revolve around action, but can instead have a comedic or character development purpose to them. Most of our boring missions such as giving out food to the poor will obviously be left out of the episodes we will visit.

RULES

1. Standard forum rules apply such as god modding and posting illegal stuff.

2. Don't leave us waiting on your post for over a week without warning. If we decide on it, we can control your character for the sake of moving the plot forward had you kept us waiting too long. This can include killing them off, if deemed necessary.

3. Don't make a habit of one sentence posts. At best this should be very rare, and most should be at least a paragraph in length. More would be appreciated but not required.

4. I can claim any of your stuff non-canon if needed, but will have a good reason for it. There can still be other possible canons where your stuff can be used if this happens to you, but not our main one we are using. Different roleplays may take part in these different canons.

5. Do not double post in the IC. Wait for everyone who is also in the scene with you to post before posting again unless they don't plan on posting at that point in time.

6. I can create more rules as needed.

CHARACTER SHEET

When filling out the character sheet, remove the round brackets, which are there to explain what the different parts of the sheet can be so not needed in the final sheet. You can use your own format if it includes everything.

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Race: (They can be earthling or alien. I shall provide a list of potential races you can use but there will be plenty more and you can even create your own. If you do, please explain about them. You don't have to be detailed, but if you spring the fact that they can shoot nukes out of their eyes or some other op or not fitting thing, I can make their ability to do so non-canon, so it will help if you explain such things beforehand so we can see if they are acceptable from the very beginning)
Homeworld: (Feel free to make up your own, same as what is said about races)
Position: (View the crewmember list below to see available positions)
Personality:
Appearance: (picture or written description)

Biography: (anything else of note about them, mainly their history. You can keep a lot about them a secret to build up over time if desired)

CREWMEMBER LIST

Choose from this list when creating a character. Even if not a security personnel, like all good sci-fi tales, the other crewmembers might still end up fighting so they won't feel left out when we leave the ship. If a position doesn't say how many positions are available then it's only for a single character. If you have multiple characters they cannot occupy the same position and you cannot occupy more then one single position slot no matter how many characters you have, unless everyone has had sufficient time to take it. Also, please wait to see if others are joining before posting multiple characters across the board in other positions only allowing a certain number of character spots.
