Bio

Hey all, JB here.

I'm a DM for a large number of games here on RPG, as well as a player in several others. Many of the games I run are overly complex, or they involve Dungeons and Dragons (which is also overly complex!).

I work 40+ hours a week, and am the proud father of two tiny terrors named Chibi and Chibette and married to my beautiful Wifey. As such, I am quite busy more often than not. I typically write 2-5 paragraphs per reply and try to maintain an excellent level of grammar. If you noticed me glancing at your profile, I probably was looking to see if you would be a good match for my RPing style. Even if I didn't send a PM to you, feel free to send one back!

I enjoy 1x1 RPs and small groups. I'm fond of medieval, steampunk, and futuristic settings, and I'll jump into romance, adventure, and slice of life RPs fairly quickly, although supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc) RPs get old for me pretty quickly. If you're looking for an RP partner and I've glanced at your profile, then I'm most likely willing to give it a shot, but decided against PMing you because I'm actually kinda shy. But I'm always looking for a new friend!

Please feel free to say hi at any time!

@Lurking Krog - 5e is pretty easy to pick up compared to other RPG systems. Feel free to ask any questions, and welcome aboard!
I have updated my rules in the OP with a ton of info. Please check those rules out, as some might significantly affect character design choices.
@16 Bit Hey~ I don't think I've talked to you before. Glad to have you aboard!

@Cu Chulainn, @ihinka, @Guardian Angel Haruki - We've already chatted a bit about this campaign, but feel free to send me your PC ideas. I'm looking to only have a few characters (4-6 max), so coordinating your classes will likely be a good idea.

LISTEN UP, MORTALS! Some of you are cowardly, sniveling minions who live your lives fulfilling the basest of fantasies. Low-level weaklings who can barely end a goblin's existence without breaking a nail, wannabe clerics who need to take a full night's rest after casting two spells. If that's you, then the door is right over there. There's no room for weaklings in this fight.

I'm looking for the strongest, the best, rivals of the gods themselves. We're not hunting goblins and slimes, oh no. We will be fighting TITANS. Colossal giants renowned the world over for their strength and power, enemies like the tarrasque, ancient dragons who saw the world begin, lich kings and their army of undead. We are hunting those who fear nothing.

If that doesn't make your blood pump faster with excitement, you aren't cut out for this job. If you're a weakling coward who pisses himself when a cantrip whizzes past your ear, get outta here. We are the Titan Hunters.

WHO'S WITH ME?!

Interest Check for a level 20 EPIC campaign. Many of the enemies will be of my own creation. All Unearthed Arcana, Xanathar's, and Plane Shift material is allowed, but I am not allowing homebrewed classes and races (it's hard enough to balance them for 5th level encounters). I am looking for a small group of adventurers that are dedicated to joining an ongoing and extended hunt against all the greatest foes in D&D. I would like people who have at least a decent grasp of the system and will be happy running a single character without swapping. I will also give priority to those who I haven't DM'd for extensively, although anyone is free to apply.

I will be using the Three-Pillars Experience model where we level up after 100 XP. Characters are welcome to have 20 levels in any class, or they may multiclass. I will be creating character advancement rules for PCs over lvl 20, but the basics include extended spell slots at similar rates to what one might expect, continuing formulas for proficiency bonuses and cantrip damage, and increased caps on ability scores based on our level. The maximum number of levels anyone can have in any class is 20.

We will be starting at level 20 and going up from there. We will be using a 25-point buy using Pathfinder rules, and starting wealth will be 20,000gp + 1d10×250 gp, two Rare items, and one Very Rare item of your choice, plus standard starting gear. You may purchase magic items with your starting gold (here is a good list). OOC and dice rolls will take place on Discord.

If you're interested, please let me know!
@ihinka Might want to think about the B. S. initials first :P
Not super welcoming...

I hope you enjoy your stay, @anxiouscat! Most of us here try to not be abrasive. Try.
@Littlemissrose Welcome to the Guild! I hope you enjoy your stay!

To get started, I suggest contacting the GM for an RP you find interesting that is accepting new characters. You can do so by sending a PM or by writing in the OOC or interest check. I suggest reading the opening posts thoroughly for any rules or guidelines you should follow. Since the RPs' respective rules are mostly governed by the GM, it's best to read closely and ask them questions as needed.
@ThetaGirl Greetings, and welcome to the site! I hope you enjoy your stay!
Perhaps some clarification is in order, @Volume75. Roleplaying is where someone writes using a character as their voice, as if writing a story. Usually this is done in groups of several people to create a deep and hopefully interesting narrative.

It is not inherently sexual in nature. This is a generally SFW site. Anything of the sort mentioned in the title should remain in private conversations. I suggest if you wish to learn more about that particular topic, explore it with your significant other together. Asking a mostly family-friendly site for tips of this nature isn't exactly the best idea.
@0 Azzy 0 - I think you're up!
