Oh, who knew! You learn something new everyday! Some people do feel strongly about it, so it's only fair that they get to decide what they want to be called.
Also, another thing. I've gotten into trouble on more than one occasion by calling someone by the 'wrong' gender, mostly because that's not what they identify with. I don't want to go through all that shit again, so could you guys either here or by PM just let me know if I should say 'him' or 'her' in reference to you.
Don't forget about "zir"! Some people don't identify with either gender (or identify with both) and that's cool too ;)
