If I'm going too fast for anyone please let me know, and I'll moderate my pace.
Nemuri blinked towards the Shihion.@Champion "Life-threatening?" She paused for a moment, looking up at the image of her captain and father, grinning from ear to ear. She nodded. "Yes, some would call what's in stored for this division that, most actually, but master Mayuri likes to call it weeding out the weaker subjects. Butttttt" She made a wide motion with her arms. "Yep. Die, or survive. Either way is fine as you'll all serve as valuable test subjects for the future."

"Well"@Renny Nemuri mumbled around her finger nail as she spoke. "That's not necessarily true. The prodigy gene isn't really some end all, be all type thing which'll turn a soul reaper into a one person army." She shook her head, quickly. "Not at all. All it means is that your mind has been shifted into a state which allows for a much greater amount of potential than normal souls. That's all."

At that she paused at the sound of Bakuto's uproar and turned her attention towards @BladeSS4 "It's not all just about intellect. Many prodigies in the past weren't smarter than everyone around them. Some excelled in more, focused areas."

At @Crimson Lion's comment Nemuri's head tilted to the side, and her face took one a momentarily image of confusion. "Determine?" Again, she shook her head rapidly, and with a passion. "Nobody has determined anything." Sighing, she covered her face in her hands and shook her head, slower this time. "Oh! Master Mayuri, they're all such children. Look!" She raised her arms out in front of her, held them for a moment before letting them flop to her side. "Look at it this way, the prodigy gene doesn't indicate anything. It just means a person has more potential than others. It doesn't mean they'll become anything unless they push or are pushed in that direction. Why is this so hard?"

"Oh!@Red Mage I'm glad you made it. I was beginning to get worried only the boys managed to find the division headquarters." A quick pause. "Well, if memory serves, the process by which the genes were created and activated was released over the Soul society." She put her hand behind her back and leaned forwards, causing her back to make an uncomfortably loud cracking sound. "Oh! I'd say about two years ago, just before everyone was either made to join the soul society, or found themselves suddenly thriving." She spent a moment looking up before nodding, content with her answer.

"Well then, I suppose we should get down to business." She opened her mouth to talk but paused as what sounded like an explosion echoed in through one of the entrances into the room. "Which isn't that." As if on que the lights in the room flickered, and Mayuri's face disappeared, replaced by a large, detailed map of the facility. "Hmmm." Nemuri put her hands on the table and leaned forward. "Let's see. Let's see." She smiled, and pointed at a blinking red dot in a large room. "Ah. Here's the problem." She poked the blinking light and the image of the map was replaced by a large flat screen.

On the screen there was a wide, blank space, with several small fires scattered about. Seconds passed without anything happening, but something, vaguely humanoid appeared in front of the camera. It's face was white, with large dark holes where the eyes should've been. It opened it's mouth to let out a silent roar, or almost silent, if not for the sound that came through the doorway on the room's right. After the thing finished it's scream, it opened its mouth and the feed to the room disappeared.

"Ah." Nemuri smiled, leaning back while balancing herself on the balls of her feet. "Well, that looked interesting." Nemuri gave a smile before heading towards the entrance in which the thing's roar echoed out of. "Not sure how whatever it was was able to bypass Master Mayuri's defenses, but it'll quickly regret doing so." Without waiting, the young woman put her hands behind her back and started walking down the tunnel.

"Well," she called towards the group behind her, without looking back or slowing down. "Do you guys really need an invitation?"

Wait, isn't the whole point of the multiverse aspect supposed to be a mundane, everyday type thing? I ask, because that's how most multiverse rps I've been in have been played.
I'm here too! well at work but I'm there in spirit
@Lmpkio

@jynmi88 (That quote regarding Archmage was a jab at him specifically).

What you just said however can be true depending on what the RP wants to be. Not everything will be included, but it all depends on the idea, how it is done, etc.

Ahhh. Sorry about that. I already took my melatonin for the night, and was a bit loopy when I read that *.*;

@Lmpkio

@jynmi88 (the last bit was not a jab at you btw)

That not everyone's feedback should be taken into considering when designing A rp? o0
@Sierra

This is never a particularly easy lesson to learn, but it's a good one. I've rescinded my interest from so many prospects that I've stopped even mentioning it. I just silently subscribe to the thread and watch. The reason almost every time is that something isn't disclosed up front. A game mechanic, a crucial bit of world lore, you name it and it's happened. The way I've taken to doing int checks is that the full thread as you'd put it up in an RP is what goes up in the int check. The interest check is exactly that, an interest check, to get people in and writing CSs rather than a mostly-finished concept being pitched before its ready. That said, it takes forever ... a lesson I am learning the hard way slowly plugging along with Tear the World Down.

<Snipped quote by jynmi88>

This is grammatically weird. I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or countering me. Was "didn't" supposed to be "did"?

EDIT:
> DOOM 2016
Good choice. :)

I suppose that is true, but my problem is I try to please everyone before I've got everything solid which is like trying to build a sand castle out of really, really watery mud.

You're point has been received loud and clear. I'll have, at least the basics of the rp, primary mechanics and lore, as fully fleshed out as possible before starting.

It wasn't so much as a counter as a point that Hex and Arch weren't giving constructive criticism, but were just trying to thinly veil their push towards the type of rp they wanted to see

@Lmpkio

<Snipped quote by jynmi88>

Quite so. They forced for something else they wanted when it's not on the menu. Like wanting hamburgers at a fast food hot dog joint. That's not on the menu or what's being shown. You either get what you get, or find a way to improve the concept/product.

Man that would've been a cool character! I love me some Doom so Im fully onboard with a character like so.

We shall see. I'll be onboard if it does happen.

And on that note:

<Snipped quote by Archmage MC>

Oh look... there's a huge flaw in your concept of reasoning.

Wait. Was that a flaw of my reasoning, the whole a multiverse not working if a farmer with a shotgun is stronger than Sonic?
@Lmpkio

<Snipped quote by jynmi88>

Indeed. It started off well, but then two came in and bashed it on the head. I also believe this is at fault.

I would've at least two alternate canon characters, one from say Talon --> Overwatch and the reverse Overwatch --> Talon.

This wasn't just pushing, this was a pretty strong shove and with little fairness. They wanted something else outside of this RP, a gaming multiverse or something, and not just what it's supposed to be. That's a disaster waiting to happen for nearly any GM who can take things to heart (I mean everyone can/does to a certain extent). But yeah, the ideas presented as said are pretty cool. Maybe someone can rebirth this concept with a slightly more detailed flair (Spoiler Alert: Not me - I got shit to do atm and will probably not be the best GM) but honestly who knows.

Which was weird too. I mean, I get some people like things done a certain way, but these guys really went at it like they were insulted at how different it was from what they wanted. Some rps just aren't for everyone, and shouldn't be. I hate to say this because I don't like to be exclusionary but when something is so far off from what you want to do, and you don't have to do it, don't do it.

The first character I was going to do would've problem been an Original from one of the shonen series like One Piece or Bleach. Might've even revived Abigail from the last multiverse rp. For the other one, I wanted to do something close to a silent, righteous angry character, whose strong and good with a gun, similar to the Doomslayer from Doom 2016, because I've been currently playing Doom 2016

Hmmm. I might give it a try later on, because I really want to do an rp, but will probably wait a bit since the last multiverse roleplay I tried setting up got literally zero interest. Probably because I was trying to get everyone to brainstorm from the get go as opposed to having anything solid right off the bat *.*;

@Sierra

That's probably true, but it didn't seem like Hex and Arch were actively giving criticism as opposed to pushing for things to be done in a way they wanted it to be done.
@Lmpkio

<Snipped quote by jynmi88>

Of course, he could be busy, but judging by what I've seen, it leans much more so to what I initially think. Criticism is good as long as its medium and fair.

A shame too... I was ready to make a character as soon as I see a few more examples and act accordingly. But it seems it didn't happen because of these guys.

(Nor do I have shame in calling them out, especially one of them, because god damnit we've almost had something and yall just had to go there...)

That's always a possibility, but I won't hold my breath. Usually, when people decide to open up an interest check, it's because they plan on being on for awhile. The fact the GM hasn't been on for two days does look like all the complaining was too much. Most likely he just gave up and decided to do something else with his time

Yeah, I would've had something up too, but I couldn't narrow it down to just two of the characters I wanted to use >. <

I get some people would like to see something done a certain way in an rp, but it's a bit much when you keep pushing to have to change the few details on an rp that makes it different from every other kind of rp in that genres. Damn it, the leveling up aspect and memory loss had potential >. <
@Lmpkio

<Snipped quote by jynmi88>

Not to scapegoat anyone, but I think Archmage MC and Zero Hex may be the culprits of it's downfall.

(Especially one particular person. The moment he entered I was turned off immediately. He knows who he is.)

Damn. Was kind of worried that would be the case. Most GMs tend to get disheartened when the most vocal members of an interest check only have complaints >. <

Oh well. Until the next Multiverse rp appears. :(
