That'd be compassion and companionship for fellow elements of creation, for all those made in God's image, and for those who despite infinite unworthiness gained the sacrifice of Christ. It's a far cry from sexual love; a better explanation would be kindred love. It's way more universal that most definitions of the word, as are most concepts in relation to an omnipotent, monotheistic God. That kind of universality is not really a factor here, since in this story there are many gods with separate domains, rather than a single God over everything.

So it's something of a case of apples and oranges: applying monotheistic concepts to the polytheistic system we've made here.

I just realised that I may have come across as derogatory - I was using that example more as an instance of love being far wider than 'you look nice, get into my bed'. Completely agree with all that you say other than the last bit: I don't see why we shouldn't have divine love (as in, creation's love for the creator/s) in this RP - Zerabil certainly had it/aspired towards it, and I think any realistic god RP must include a certain level of creations having devotion/love for their creator/s. Hinduism is the last polytheist religion in existence, and the concept of 'love' or at least attaining 'one-ness' with the divine is a thing. But these are just my musings xP

Edit: *Hinduism is the only major polytheist religion in existence - there are many other, localised polytheistic faiths, but they are dwindling
@Double Capybara Always, why?

@Kho Could I go Demons (Pacts)?

Don't think Demons is wide enough to be considered a Domain to be honest. It seems like something that would come under 'Magic' or - as Cyclone suggested - 'Evil', or 'Occult'
In fact, you could go go for Magic (Pacts) - so the pacts will be binding due to the magical nature of the agreement...and it would also mean that you could grant people some kind of 'Pact' magic which makes them create magically enforceable agreements...
Though mind you, Astarte is already a goddess of Magic

I am also stumped, so I'm thinking of taking up demons and pursuing deals as a divine hobby.

Actually that's a good idea, was so stuck in the real world that I forgot about demons - I think Cyclone suggested Evil/Occult/Something else as Domains for Demons, and they do tend to go around making deals with (very unfortunate) mortals, so it comes together pretty neatly

Hmmm....so if the domain is Love, what would be portfolio be? Passion like someone suggested, or something else?

It could be anything to do with Love as an emotion, concept, long-term feeling, philosophy of life etc.
For instance, portfolios can include: (Lust), (Infatuation), (Divine Love), (Romantic Love), (Friendship), (Familial/Unconditional Love), (Loyalty), (Kindness), (Caring), (Sacrifice), (Benevolence) and there's probably a lot more too ^^'
I'd say that when it comes down to it, love is the most powerful force in the universe xPPP be responsible you
Discovered this last night since the mention of me in the OP didn't show in my notifications.

...Was wondering why no one else was posting in the other thread.

I was wondering why you hadn't come over...maybe some of the others haven't noticed this either ^^'
@Kho If I wanted a deity centered around pacts or deals, do you have any suggestions as to what domain that would be under?

Eh, I'm stumped. Pacts, deals and contracts are all basically 'enforceable promises' of some kind - whether legally binding or binding for some other reason. Perhaps Promise as a Domain with 'Contracts' or 'Oaths', 'Pacts', 'Vows' and so on as potential portfolios?
Eh, no, I think 'Love' is very different from other 'Emotions'. Being 'Sad' is an emotion, but being 'Depressed' is definitely simply an emotion - it's much deeper than that. So no, Love wouldn't come under Emotions in my opinion. Passion seems closer, but I'd say that passion is more an aspect of love - or more appropriately, lust. Love is not a sexual, physical thing, it's not merely an emotion, it's a bit deeper than that. Ancient Greeks split love into Agape, Phileo, Storge and Eros - and already you can see the width of the concept with simply these four. Then you have Christianity which purports that its entire creed is built on love - what kind of love is that?!! Definitely not going to bed with 'Christianity' or Jesus xDD

So, I'd say, if you're going with love you need to first understand it somewhat (and it's a concept which has befuddled modern science and ancient philosophy alike xDD so I envy you not!)

To cut to the chase: Love is a Domain. A Big, Fat, Domain.
Haha, the first turn will give us the opportunity to size each other up IC and see how things are going. I think for the first three turns or so we should have some kind of tense acceptance of and co-existence with one another. And when tensions do start rising, it will be reflected in the mortal world for the most part. If things do get to the divine level (which they never have in previous iterations) then...
Well...Amul'Sharar is more of an interventionist than good ol' laissez-faire Invictus xD

There is always something more torturous. In this case, it's this.

Not clicking that, nop, nop. Sting me once, shame on you, sting me twice, shame on me I'll whip ya

To be honest we have way more manipulators than creators :P

Idea for plot arc: Civil War between the Gods. Half side with Vowzra, half side with Logos

You say that, but I don't see Vestec ever being so predictable as to side with either - in fact, we have a few very egoistic gods who may well refuse to be led by an upstart god of Order (foremost amongst them Vestec and Zephwhathisface)
