Really hope that everyone is still in this thing - haven't quoted near as many books as I still have to in this. Stick around, read Laxion's posts, and you'll be able to blather your way through any philosophy exam, discussion or debate. You'll be able to drop names like Parmenides, Heraclitus, Karl Popper and Freddie like you know them all personally. You won't even have to say 'Marx viewed the oppression of the oppression of the masses as a blight that had to be eradicated,' you'll just be able to say 'Yeah, Karlo was big on liberating the masses, and Vladdie boy did a pretty good job till he actually seized the means of production and left it all to Joey.'

If you think that's an insult you should see what happened to him in some other world somewhere. He got eaten up by a Coddlyspring. As my younger sister would tell you, they're these little round things, with tiny beaks and huge oggly eyes, and they move around by jumping on their itsby bitsy little feet. And whenever they jump they go 'spring!' 'spring!'
Sauranath got eaten up by one of those once. Unfortunately it's never been canonised, but hopefully one day you and I can make it happen :) for the moment though, I don't think we're ready to have you jump in to the RP. There are too many delicate things lying about - like giant trees made out of glass.

I like ostentatious characters, it's one of the things that makes Allure so endearing (despite his penchant for chopping things up).

Hmm, how about: being nihilistic and superintelligent is all good, but combined they drive you into a mega-existenial crisis meaning that you just end up moping around on the ground doing nothing 'cause it's all so f**king pointless. so pointless.
So you're in the odd position where your hormones or whatever are exploding and giving you positive feelings, but your newly acquired nihilism and intelligence makes you super-depressed. Conflicting feelings are so intense that they can lead to various psychological conditions, amongst them: permanent personality change (it's an actual thing, I read about it in one case...), schizophrenia, PTSD (and anything else that can develop from severe psychological shock)
