@Bright_Ops I believe that it underwent a sudden oceanification. In other words, there is no south pole, just a sea. I would assume that the sea's surface is frozen over due to the intensity of the cold. Point is, there is no landmass of note there anymore. Other than a few islands that Rainbow has yet to draw properly >.>
@Antarctic Termite As we're discussing existing religious practices:

Elysium Worship on Arcon: We know Arconians worship Elysium to the exclusion of all others, but other than the Eskandars we don't have details.

Eskanadrian Elysium Worship: Followers of Eskandar worship Elysium, who is known to them as 'the Moon-Mother'. They follow in the footsteps of a Prophet-Patriarch called Eskandar. His death and subsequent politics means that understanding of the religion has undergone radical interpretations and re-interpretations as time went on, to be discussed in planned post mentioned above.

Vowzra's Victors and Inhabitants of New Chronos: Generally, all the inhabitants of New Chronos worship Vowzra, Belruarc, Illunabar, Belvast, and the Bard. They recognise the existence of the other gods and demigods but do not worship them. Their beliefs have been explored somewhat in previous Vowzra's Victors posts.

Pronobii Reathos Worship: The Pronobii are extinct on Galbar, but are extant on New Chronos. Along with the orthodox religion of the other inhabitants, the Pronobii here also worship Reathos. This has not been canonised, but is implicit due to pre-existing canon regarding Pronobii religion.

Treemind Life Worship: Treeminds worship an abstract entity called 'the Life'. It is not clear what has happened to this religion after their exodus to New Chronos.

Thulemiz and Friends: It's not really a religion, as only Thulemiz seems to follow it, but he seems to glorify Death in an abstract way, removed from its embodiment in any god or whatnot. This will probably develop as he gains more of a following and grows in power. But as he sees (or will eventually see) himself as the manifestation of the beauty of death, it will become something of a self-worship thing for him, and him-worship thing for others. Distinct from a God-Emperor like Lifprasil in the sense that Lif doesn't worship himself, but others worship him.
...At some point, are we going to have a Council of Nicea situation pop up? Because that would be interesting to say the least. Even more so when you consider that we have numerous gods with their own followings who could actually be in attendance themselves.

I don't know about Councils and whatnot specifically, but I know that (at least in my forthcoming plots) there are plenty of heresies and differing interpretations of religion and whatnot.
In addition to three current collabs I'm involved in at the moment (T-T) I'm actually also planning a fourth regarding the development of the Eskandars with a focus on religious doctrine. I've done a bit of meddling in religious stuff here and there in my posts, but this will be unprecedented >:)

No Council of Nicea, but much meaty religious debates (that no one is obliged to read, really. 'tis just for the giggles) :D
@Muttonhawk Oh shiz, could it be that...that...

Mutton is a gnostic heretic! Kill it!

Guys guys guys. I just discovered this cool new word.

Gnosticism.

The plot thickens.
@poog the pig Afghanistan may be the Graveyard of Empires, but Divinus is the Graveyard of New Guys.
@Bright_Ops We're currently on Turn 9

But hold yer horses, GMs have yet to discuss your sheet in the panel room of much pain and torture. Anything could happen.
*Begins counting money*
@Cyclone Nepotism! Cronyism!
What happened to the good ol' days of meritocratic virtues? Of zeal for egalitarianism?
@Bright_Ops That is suspiciously well-written and well-researched for a guy who just turned up. How long have you been stalking us and how much do you know? I demand answers! You think I'm going to let some Belvast-loving fr- uh, cat-loving weirdo into this RP just like that? Answers! I need answers. Who are you? Where have you come from? What is your great grandad's cat called?

I only came upon this thread recently. For all I knew, it was just someone posting for the first time in a month. Glad to see that isn't the case through.

Well, good sir! If joining Her Imperial Majesty's Royal Baloch Brigade is your heart's desire, and if you truly wish to march out with us against those infernal Mahometan Patans, then 'tis our pleasure and honour to make your wish a reality. First, howe'er, we have prepared for ye a baptism of fyre.
Go forth, and read the Opening Post; thereafter, go forth and read the second post; thereafter, search for BBeast's summary of the first few IC pages, which should be two or three pages back in the OOC; thereafter, go through the Characters Thread; thereafter read the summaries for all posts in the IC. We can then begin your initiation into our cult.

As that may take a while, feel free to present to us your ideas regarding the character you'd like to create, and we'll proceed to grill you. Though I know LokiLeo will also fry, bake, barbecue, boil, and smoke you. He may even leave a bit raw for his sushi special.
