@Vec You raise a catastrophic point. This changes everything.
I, on the other hand, find normal mortals to be the most interesting of all - so much so that I turned Belru into Yara and killed off Vowzra. Mortals are the best.

Only issue is...well, they die so quickly.
@BBeast Hey, that's fun! In a few turns you and I can sit down and compare the genealogies of generation upon generations of our characters from stone age to late bronze age :D

I've got a new one!

Ug [435-490] -> Ugson [456-520] -> Ugranson [502-560] -> Ugragrinson [532-596] -> Ugragraginson [563-Present] (drank the potion of immortality, a side effect of which is infertility! NOoooooooooOOOOooo)
As this whole thing has taken longer than I thought I've chosen to reduce the numbers by half. I'll edit the relevant posts, if with extreme reluctance.
@Cyclone I disagree. A tribal nation should be able to muster up all its men, and even some of its women. They're nomadic people, they live to herd and fight, and when tribal honour is besmirched every warrior takes up arms.
@Double Capybara You think that excessively low populations are more realistic than ones that are quite high?

Plus, these populations are all pre-Realta invasion :\ unless we want Rukbany to be empty after the invasion, I'd go with high pops. as a starting point.

If Mongols did indeed have better technology and medicine, then I admit I'm unaware of that.

Edit: and when you say 'it's not something I want to see other players going around with' that's just plain odd to me. I'm not interested in conquering anything - this isn't a 'game' where you win or lose to me. I'm far more interested in Fikra's issues with Fihriyi and Shaqmar's love-life than I am with conquering stuff. These numbers are just meant to emphasise their warrior culture and whatnot - and the fact they're fighting each other emphasises their disunity and internal bitterness.
I think the fact that Cyclone, who wrote the damn thing with me, did not notice that he disagreed with it until now is ridiculous and should count towards leaving it as it is. Had it been my own post, posted on its own, and not in a CyKhollab, I would understand. But the fact that it's in a collab and could have been objected to in the writing process makes me less willing to retro-edit.

Moreover, the fact that no one objected to it, and it is a post now 2 months old, makes me even less willing to edit anything.

Lastly, I don't want to make editing the IC into something that is seen as acceptable - especially not older posts.

For all these reasons, I vote to leave the IC as it is and work on making sure that Galbar's population is growing and not shrinking.
