I'm still here, just haven't had much time to post recently. Slowly working my way through the RPs I'm in; I'll get a post up for this either tomorrow or Saturday.
Oberon continued to use Meditation as he listened to Digbie, trying to balance a state of clear mindedness while also thinking about their current situation. It had gotten easier to use the skill as he had become more proficient with it, even being able to use it while moving slowly now, but he wasn’t sure how well it would work when his attention was split like this.

“Yeah, okay. I had a feeling that’s what you were planning.” If the Goblin’s fought the goat in the way Digbie intended then they would probably weaken themselves in the process, making themselves an easier target for the four of them. There was even a slight chance that the goat might win and kill them all, but Oberon thought that was unlikely to happen; even if it did it would just mean that the goat was far more dangerous than they had anticipated which might actually make their situation worse.

As it was, the plan likely wouldn’t go as smoothly as Digbie hoped; the Goblin’s probably wouldn’t want to fight the goat fairly for one thing. It was fair more likely they would attempt to cheat somehow and kill the goat while it was still bound, though the presence of a now-confirmed-to-be intelligent Ash might dissuade them from that course a little.

“If it comes down to it I think we could win. Even if they don’t kill the goat, it’s bound up and they seem as wary of it as we are; they won’t release it to fight us… I hope.” He was assuming a lot with very little information, but he was fairly certain the goat was not trained and as likely to attack the Goblin’s as it was them; probably more likely. In all likelihood Rags would want to keep it out of the fight even more than they did. “It’ll be tough, but I think we could handle a fight against all of them. Just let me handle the one with the sword.”

Oberon couldn’t see very well in the dim light of the sealed cave, but he heard Digbie say something that clearly wasn’t aimed at him. It sounded a prayer of sorts, a short request for safety and protection, to someone called Jehanne. “We didn’t get a chance to talk earlier, but who’s Jehanne? Does this have something to do with that stuff you found earlier? The book?”

The televisions around the waiting room droned on and on, the voice of the reporter or presenter loud enough to be audible but not loud enough to completely drown out the noise of music and cheering coming through the walls. If they could hear it even here, inside the arena, then it must be deafening out there in front of the crowds; in fact, he knew it was, having been a part of that crowd enough times at the Sunyshore Gym.

What would that be like to be at the centre of that? How would it feel to battle in front of thousands, with a wall of noise pressing in around you and bright lights making you the centre of attention as cameras recorded your every move? How many challengers over the years had buckled to the pressure, failing due to stage fright rather than a lack of skill?

It was something to consider. Something you didn’t think about as a spectator.

Tobias stared at the screen, eyes focused behind his glasses, but he only half listened to the commentary as he concentrated on his own thoughts. Normally he would pay the opening ceremony of the Gym Challenge more attention, he liked to try and guess which challengers would make it the furthest, but it was hard to be excited about it this year when he was going to be a part of it rather than just a spectator. He felt restless, foot not quite tapping as it bounced up and down; not quite anxiousness but not excitement either. If he had to describe it, he felt impatient; the opening ceremony was just the preamble to the real challenge, it was unnecessary, it was a distraction. Frankly it was for the audience, not for them.

That being said, his sponsor would be out there. His parents would be watching at home. Both of these facts gave him the patience to endure the delay. It was only one more night after all.

Beside him a Magnemite hovered, its small form twisting this way and that as it spun around to see as much of the room as possible. Every person and Pokémon in sight caught his interest at one time or another, it’s singular eye swivelling in their direction only for it to be immediately distracted by someone or something else as the eye swung away again. “Don’t wander too far.” The Electric-type, which had been drifting away from its trainer, stopped moving for a second before it started drifting slowly towards something else.

Turning back to the television Tobias left the magnet Pokémon to its own devices for now; he’d only had it for a few weeks now but it has quickly proven itself to be the curious type. Everything, no matter how mundane or even if he had already seen it before, was subject to intense scrutiny’ with so many new people and Pokémon around he wouldn’t be able to stop it from wandering with anything short of returning it to its Pokeball. As long as it didn’t cause any trouble it was fine to let it look around.
I have an idea for a solo weapon that I've wanted to use for a while, but most RPs don't allow that as a role; I mean a Demon Weapon who fights alone like the guillotine Death Scythe.

I'd want to do something weird with my weapon character, something a bit unusual like the Demon Mirror or the Demon Lamp. So, with that in mind, does anyone want to partner up with a Demon Lighter?
I'm interested in writing a weapon, but I also want to write combat so I'll probably double up and make both if that's okay.

If anyone wants to pair up let me know and we can discuss plans.
I'm interested.
Should we be moving our character sheets over to the other tab? Just to they're easier to find.
Putting my team down for now. I'll add a bio for my trainer later.
