Current I always miss the fun stuff and references. Now I'll be wondering what 2011 was referring to.

My relations will be up by tonight - I ran the NYC Marathon over the weekend so I’ve been out of commission!

How was the marathon?
Himari Tsugikuni

Himari was glad that Kousai left instead of continuing to try and interfere in the women's business. She thought about going back inside to put her clothes on so she could focus more. It was clear that she wasn't going to get the chance to have her bath. She decided not to for the moment. She was still concerned about Miyuki's position in Guen's chokehold so she turned her attention back to the situation at hand.

Himari watched as Guen choked Miyuki to unconsciousness and placed her down on the pavement. She sighed internally. Guen wouldn't even listen to them and do the right thing. All she had to do was let Miyuki go, but no. She wanted to do what she wanted to do and that was why she was in the situation she was in now. It was clear from this action alone that there was no reasoning with Guen. To make things worse the asshole spilled her own blood knowing damn well the reaction it would cause and the fact that they were currently surrounded by demons. She had some kind of death wish and clearly didn't care about the danger she was putting others in. Not to mention how unsanitary it was. She definitely wasn't going to be able to finish her bath.

Her attention was piqued when Guen revealed that she discovered who Hikaru's killer was. She had been wondering who was responsible so she knew who the target of her blade would be. But she couldn't think of that for long as Guen stated her very incorrect belief that Hikaru would've been doing the same things she was had she died. Hikaru protected innocents and was the one who taught Himari how valuable life was and that being a Demon Slayer was more than just about slaying demons. She hated how his name and death was being used to justify her reckless and wicked actions.

"Spare me your bullshit, Guen. We've all lost people to this war. Hikaru was my brother and best friend. I will avenge him, but I'm not going to force my wrath on those who don't deserve it. You've become a demon in your actions."

She listened further as Guen revealed who exactly was responsible for Hikaru's death. A Lord and Consort duo. Blood Moon two was likely the one to finish Hikaru off. There's no way he would've lost to a Consort. That should've been the target for Guen's wrath, not everyone that she saw as being in her way. When Guen asked them if she'd assist them she shook her head. "I'm not going into battle with someone who clearly has a death wish and puts her allies in danger. You'll be lucky to survive the onsen tonight after you just spilled your blood around this many powerful demons. I'll slay Blood Moon Two myself and avenge Hikaru's death. Good luck, Guen. If you manage to survive don't continue down this dangerous path. I won't be there to save you from the destruction you brought on yourself."

Himari looked up at the crows flying above the onsen and sighed deeply. It was happening already. She didn't have time to fully get dressed so she picked up the towel she put aside and wrapped it around her body before heading over to Miyuki and picking her up. She wasn't going to let her be a casualty in Guen's war. Her father was waiting for her to return safely and she was going to ensure that she did. Himari was disappointed by how things transpired tonight. She knew Guen would act this way, but she was more disappointed by the fact that the others decided that a fight was more important than obeying her command to avoid one here at all cost. She jumped out of the onsen with Miyuki lying bridal style in her arms, disappearing into the night.
Time for Thor to get his Hellfire Gala suit ready.

Harrison's eyes followed Lyris's hand as she pointed up at one of the buildings on the ceiling. He noticed the differences between it and the others. Was it truly possible for other X'hondrians to be here and for Kir to meet them again after so long. A thought of concern and fear crept into his mind. What if she met them and didn't want to leave here ever again? He wouldn't blame her. Despite the cold welcome they received from the Dvergr this planet felt like paradise and now she didn't have to scour the galaxy to find her people. They were already here. Not all of them, but who knows how many the Dvergr and their pirate friend had rescued all this time? And if Kir wanted she could join them on their endeavors in freeing other enslaved X'hondrians and have a home base that was hidden from the rest of the galaxy. They could finally live in peace and not risk her life or theirs by taking on the Empire directly. Harrison was starting to convince himself that this was the best choice for Kir and was starting to drown in the fear of his thoughts.

No... That wasn't right. Even if this is what Kir wanted, it would be her choice and from what he knew of her already she wouldn't be the type to just give up when she already made her mind to put an end to the Empire's reign of terror.

Harrison watched as Kir began to levitate for the first time in who knows how long. In that moment all of his fears washed away and were replaced by joy for her to experience this again even if it was a difficult adjustment from the lack of radiation that powered her abilities. He smiled at her and asked Astri how to activate his anti-gravity boots. She showed him how and once he activated them he followed Kir into the air. He listened intently to the tune she whistled and could feel her glee from here. She was ready to reconnect with her people so he gave her her space. That was until he saw her start to fall. His eyes widened before he muttered to himself, "Forget these boots."

He called on his ability to fly and jetted into the air after her, but stopped when he saw a group of X'hondrians come out of the building and help her. They really were here and didn't hesitate at all to help one of their own. He couldn't believe his eyes. He recalled the dream that he had the night before and a tear fell from his right eye. Kir wasn't home yet, but this moment made it feel like she was.

Harrison continued his flight path when they brought Kir to the edge of the building. He hovered above the assembled group when he arrived and searched for a place to safely land. Once he did he gave them a warm smile and said, "Thank you for helping Kir'ion. It's an honor to meet all of you."

Lyris watched the whole thing and knew that Kir was going to be okay. There was no way Harrison would let her fall anywhere but into his arms. She put on the clunky anti-gravity boots before running up the wall of the cavern until she reached the ceiling and sped across it until she reached the X'hondrian building. She dropped from the sky in a somersault, activating her boots on the way down so she could gracefully float down onto the platform. The Serenian had to make sure that she gave her species' cousins a great first impression after not seeing each other for so long. She couldn't believe she was meeting this many free X'hondrians in just two days. If she had any doubts about the prophecy being true they were all gone now.
I hope a short post is okay. Lol

Yeah, there's no long post requirement. This is still a casual roleplay.

Gotham
Gotham Academy

"Ah..." Colton Rivera said with a wince as he touched the bruise under his eye from where his father punched him. He was looking at himself in the mirror of his bathroom to see how bad it was this time. "Soon I'm going to have to learn how to do makeup. I can't hide behind sunglasses forever. I miss the sun."

He was interrupted by a series of knocks at his door. Who was coming here this late? He sighed before reaching for his sunglasses on the sink to put them back on. "The Colton show never ends."

He prodded over to the door and opened it to see his favorite person at this stupid school. The bar wasn't very high, but there was still a huge gap between Kyle and the others. "What brings you to my neck of the woods at this hour, Kyle?" He looked around to see if Olive was with him but was surprised to see that she wasn't. "And with no Olive?" His heart started to beat rapidly at the thoughts racing through his mind. It was only this sign of life that convinced him this wasn't some dream he was experiencing from his dad putting him to sleep.

Kyle was surprised to see Colton still wearing his sunglasses even in his room. Did he never take them off? Now that he thought about it, Kyle was sure that he had never seen Colton without them. He ignored his friend's question about Olive and went straight to the task at hand. "My sister, Olive, and I are in this club."

"The Pizza Club, right?" Colton asked knowing very well that their club had nothing to do with pizza. He didn't even understand how they even got approved for that.

"Right... Except it's not really a pizza club." Kyle responded and rolled his eyes at Colton's fake expression of shock. "I guess you knew that."

"I'm pretty sure everyone knew that. But what kind of club is it? My money's on treasure hunting."

"It's a Detective Club and we need your help. Dick had a family emergency and besides him you're the only one who knows how to pick locks."

"Damn. I was close. So what I'm hearing is that I'm your only hope." Colton said with a grin. "I'm in. Just let me get my go bag."

"Are you done yet?" Maps asked Colton as she leaned over his shoulder to see his progress. "Dick would've had us inside by now."

"I'm sure he would. He's the one who taught me, but I can guarantee I'd be much faster without you guys breathing down my neck. Got it." Colton answered as he finally unlocked the door to the Girls Dorm's Basement.

Maps stepped back and apologized. "Sorry, and thank you."

"No problem." Colton said standing up and pretending not to hear the sound of his knees popping. "So what are we looking for down here?"

"The ghost of Greta Hayes." Maps answered.

"Or her corpse." Pomeline added.

"You could be a bit more sensitive, Pom. If she is a ghost then that means she was killed here at GA." Olive retorted.

"And by her own brother no less." Colton added causing the others to look at him with an expression that read, How do you know that? "What? Everyone who's been here long enough knows that rumor, plus Billy's a creep. The only reason he's still walking the halls is because there's no evidence."

Kyle, tired of standing outside of the door reached over and opened it. He was starting to worry about his sister and Olive's safety. If Billy was a killer he was sure that he wouldn't want them snooping around his crime scene, but he knew he wouldn't be able to convince the girls to give up on the search so he was going to do what he could to protect them. "Maybe tonight's the night some will be found. Enough to get him out of here."
@King Kindred AWWW THANK YOU

YOU'RE WELCOME!
@Adeline

I hope you enjoy your day!
Harrison turned to Zev when he nudged him and then to Kir to see a version of her that he had yet to see, except only in their shared dream. She was mesmerized and felt more in her element than she's been in the past century. He couldn't help but smile at the thought of her beginning to feel happy and at peace again. The Dvergr may have not been the best at first impressions, but they knew how to make a lasting impression. He turned his attention to the real Niðavellir, as Astri had called it, and couldn't believe his eyes. He had never seen anything like it. Well, that wasn't technically true. He had only seen it in a cartoon series that he watched growing up. In the show there was a group named the air nomads who lived in temples just like this. Considering that the Dvergr used to be space nomads the similarities between their cultures were glaring.

Harrison agreed with Zev though. He couldn't imagine that they would've ended up together without Kir. She was the one who found Zev when stealing them a ride and Lyris was only interested in him when she saw the slave bands he was selling and the bracelet he was eyeing for Kir. Honestly, with the galaxy hating humans the way they do he wasn't sure if he would've made it out of the space station if he had come out here without her. Especially not with her knowledge and help to understand how everything worked out here. He hoped she understood just how important and special she is.

Astri turned around to face the group to answer Kir's question. She was happy to see that they were becoming more comfortable with her and her people. "Some have become pirates to rescue other X'hondrians, but most have made themselves at home here. Come, I'll introduce you." She turned and continued down the steps and saw a blur whiz past her, noting Lyris's excitement. When they made their way to the cavern floor the group would find their own anti-gravity boots prepared for them, each of them having a pair that would fit the size of their feet. Astri had requested the sizes a head of time after meeting them and waiting for them to exit their ship. Astri already had hers on.

This was the first time since they landed that Harrison let go of Kir's hand. He continued to marvel at the scenery around them as he put on his anti-gravity boots. He knew that he shouldn't still be shocked by the technology of the galaxy, especially after finding out that the suit he was wearing was ancient alien technology, but anti-gravity boots was an incredible find for him to the point where he forgot that he didn't even need them. He could already fly. Astri laughed at this fact before reminding him. He tried to recover from this embarrassment and act like he didn't forget at all. "I just really like how they look with my new outfit."

Lyris ran around the base of the cavern city trying to find a home or building that housed X'hondrians, but couldn't find anything on the floor. Then it hit her. She remembered their ability to fly and figured they likely would live in one of the buildings on the ceiling. She looked up and saw one that simply gave X'hondrian. She sped back over to the group and grabbed Kir's arm and pointed in the air at the building she spotted. "Look Kir! They're really here!"
