That's what honestly came to mind @VeyrinDay when I saw the word Conglomerate in your post. I pictured them being this shady, illuminati-esque cabal of oligarchs controlling the corporations from the shadows, similar to how many people believe the elite control our world today through major corporations, banks, governments, etc.

That's really interesting what info you came up with. I never had much thought of the Mafia being involved in our day to day life, but then again there are always opportunities to exploit the public legally. Very good observation.

@Gisk I could be up for that. Originally I was going to have Hiro bust Maggie and her group, but maybe instead Hiro could hand that off to Emma and go to the Venus district to interrogate Sweetie, thus eventually coming across E13 and learning more about Yamagata's corruption.

Yeah, I'm slowly but surely adding a little more backstory to the world, which is more or less our world in a total flustercuck. Funny, I wasn't really thinking of the Conglomerate when I was writing those up, but you may be onto something.
