Name: Mia Richards
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Position: Librarian-in-training
Appearance:
Former Employment: Research Assistant at a college working on cataloging types of Code and Cryptography.
Skills: Speed reading, eidetic memory, specialization in Cryptography.
History:
Mia's early childhood was fairly normal, she was the youngest of three girls. The two older sisters showed signs of being normal. By the time Mia was three she was already speaking in full sentences and reading the same material her older sisters were reading in school. At first Mia's parents put her in public school, but quickly she outpaced her class mates and made her teacher's lives difficult. She was so bored in class that she started being disruptive. It was in second grade that her teacher handed her a complex word puzzle, Mia had it solved in twenty minutes. The teacher was impressed and decided to submit Mia into some testing. It didn't take long for it to be shown that Mia was light years ahead of her age group, and was already leaving her sisters in the dust.
Shortly after that Mia started having an interest in Cyrptography. Since then she has done any sort of puzzle she could get her hands on, focusing heavily on ciphers, though she'll happily do crosswords or Sudoku puzzles if she's bored.
In response to her test scores, her parents put her into a private school where she flourished and the behavior issues disappeared. Mia graduated college with two BA's just before her 18th birthday, one in code breaking, and another in History.
After college Mia went into a program with the military as a civilian for creating code, and breaking it. She worked there for four years before getting the job at her Alma Matter working with one of the professors on historical codification.
