Ed hissed as he was shot. His shield dropped as he was unable to maintain concentration on it. Shit. He mentally cursed. Annie had been shot too and she was half carrying him. He needed to heal both of them, but it would be easier when they weren't being shot at.

"Are you okay?" He asked feeling bad for using her to steady himself. On the plus side, the contact with her would make healing her easier, if he could concentrate enough for it. He pulled his magic up, it was a struggle. The magic was distant and weak. There was no way he'd be able to heal both of them.

Ed let the magic flow from his fingers into Annie. Not even directing it at her wound specifically, just into her. His side ached. And when the magic stopped he worried for a moment that he had reached too far. Pushed himself just enough to break whatever part of his x-gene that gave him his magic. He wanted to be upset about that, but the pain was enough that he couldn't be bothered. He'd worry about it later. When he wasn't being shot at.

Niah was irritated at being sidelined, but she suspected so was Sparky. She got it, though. She still couldn't walk unassisted. It turns out having your leg removed took time to heal from. Especially if you were already touch-sensitive. At least she was possessed any more. It was a lot to process.

She watched as the group of kids wandering the White House for the tour. Wander might not be the best word since they were being guided. She hoped that with whatever happened, the kids would be safe. She glanced at Sparky. "We should warn the team about the kids. Don't want them to accidentally cause an incident." There would definitely be an incident, but having the kids caught in the crossfire would be really bad. She also wondered where Jade was. She didn't like the First Lady apparently being MIA, even if she didn't like her.

Matt's face was set into a frown. He kept careful watch as anyone passed him. It was easy to fall into the ruse for him. While he hadn't been a spy, he had been trained in reconnaissance. This wasn't far off from what he had done with the SBS. Minus the ship. He had never anticipated being a spy inside the White House, with the mission of bringing down an imposter President. His choice to join SHIELD continues to give him more surprises. As he stood there, he had to resist the urge to smile at Cass, hence the frown.

He watched Captain America step into the Oval Office. He had been in agreement with some of Hill's Laws. He had been fighting with the Skrulls against Captain America. And now he had flipped sides. Proof that mankind was fallible. But hopefully, they could appear just incompetent enough that they didn't become a threat while expelling the Skrull threat. How they weren't already considered a threat was a bit funny considering the fight with Thanos, but that had appeared to be a failure if someone was looking from the outside. Thanos had come to kill Oliver and as far as Thanos was concerned he had succeeded. That was probably how they maintained the 'non-threat' status. If things continued in this way though, Matt wondered, how much longer they could keep that.

"That doesn't make it any easier to hear." She said back to Cass. Her heart sinking to her stomach. They were going to just leave. She hated that. Hated coming to the rescue of one person and letting others suffer. Then Rumple was there throwing the severed heads of the people that Jack had tried to save. Rose was certain that the screams they had heard were from those people.

Bile rose alongside anger and she raised her bow with the already nocked arrow and it flew wild missing Rumple. She drew another arrow, this time as it loosed it hit him the shoulder. She needed to move away and get to safety. She couldn't go toe-to-toe with a magic-user. She had seen how badly that had ended last time. But she couldn't let his crimes go unanswered. The third arrow hit him in the chest.

Rose moved back, away from Rumple and out of the room. She didn't want to be in there when more magic started flying around.

Colby snorted, laughing at Gretel punching her brother. "I don't care if it makes me look crazy or not." He shrugged. "Besides we're all mad where I come from anyway right?" He grinned again.

"Doesn't this place have magical defenses?" Colby asked Red. He didn't particularly want to go back into the catacombs. Having two cats on his shoulder would make it harder to get past all the skeletons. He looked to Maddie. "You could summon the demon bunny again and sic it after the guards." He suggested. "Though make sure you summon it outside and not in here."

"I could punch him for you." Andy offered quietly, but probably not quietly enough that the other kid didn't hear her. She didn't care. She looked up at Cassian as he spoke to her aunt. She looked at him super confused. "Yeah, everything's fine. We were building a snowman and all the snow melted so we came over to see who it was and then this guy." She gestured to Cassian, "Joined the conversation and went on about something or other and the fact that he wanted a fight to happen. Then that kid tripped over his own feet and blamed Arthur." She shrugged.

"What was that about?" She gestured to where Apollo had been parked. If anyone knew and was willing to tell her it would be her aunt. Though overall she just wished she could go back to spending time with Arthur. She preferred his company. Her family was second best.

Niah bit her lip at Nancy's response. Did either of them think Apollo would actually set Nancy up like that? She wasn't certain. It was hard to tell with them. She nodded though and followed Mads over to where the kids and some other Greek kid was. Niah didn't recognize him, but he was complimenting Mads which made Niah struggle to keep a straight face.

"We should go back to your tent to talk about this." She did not want to involve the Greeks more than necessary. If they were involved in the prophecy so be it. But she mostly just wanted to figure out why Apollo had decided to show up at that moment and Niah knew there was no way Nancy was going to tell them when they were standing in the middle of the Greek's territory. At least the tent was set away from their camp center.

Andy pulled back as all the adults started actually listening to Zari. She was glad they were finally. Zari had been trying to tell them she had been upset and no one had cared. They just brushed it off. Andy preferred being ignored, vanishing off to the sides of the room. So she did. She pulled away.

She watched with rapt attention though as they saw a young Zari with her mother. Her heart ached. God how it ached. There was a good chunk of jealousy though, but she was used to that. She wanted to ask Zari if her mother was still alive if she thought they'd reunite. She wanted to be angry at the girl and tell her how awful it could be. Sure Ash wasn't her biological mother, if she had been Andy would have never been abandoned. But Ash and Jamie had been as much as her parents as anyone ever could be.

When the image faded she closed her eyes and fought back her own sadness. Ash and Jamie weren't here. She slid out past the others into the hall. She didn't want to go any farther. Was too scared of what this place was and wasn't to leave the only people she knew. Even if she had only known them for two days. It didn't matter that she had met them months ago. Those months had never happened. And for all of that, she was seventeen now. One year more and there wouldn't be a system for her to be worried about getting lost in. One more year and she'd be an adult...if she survived.

A feeling washed through Ed that irritated him just a bit. He was worried about Annie. Needed to protect her. A part of him sighed and resigned. He had failed and gotten attached to people. If something were to happen to any of the group he would feel their loss. None, as much as his sister's, but it would hurt still. He didn't shrug away from Annie, instead, he let her press against him. She trembled. And if Ed had a child of his own he would consider the feeling of protectiveness he had toward Annie the same as it would for his child.

He kept his shield up, shoveling people to the side as best as he could as they made their way up to the next destination. He sent out flicks of force energy hitting guns out of guards' hands. It wasn't perfect, but there were eight fewer guns being pointed in the direction of his allies. He much preferred the guns removed from their hands. Though there was no telling who would pick them up now that they weren't attached to a guard.

Andy frowned at Cassian. "Says the person whose dad runs camp. My dad hasn't made much of an effort to talk to either of us. I only just barely saw him at the solstice and didn't even talk to him there. How would it be any different from the last eleven years?" She asked a bit in a huff. They hadn't invited Cassian over to talk to them and he was treating them like children, which fine they were, but still, it wasn't cool. "As of now, I've said more words to you than my father. What do you want anyway?"

Her day had been ruined by Apollo showing up and melting the snow. Now this older kid was trying to act like he was her friend. It was a bit frustrating. She looked over at her Aunt. Mads knew she was there watching, she had acknowledged her and Andy had acknowledged her back. But Mads hadn't waved her over so she was going to keep her distance. This looked like it was a Roman thing, and even if Andy had some Roman legacy in her that didn't make her part of their weird military thing.

Niah raised an eyebrow at Mads explanation for what had been in the box. She had no reason to doubt Mads. But it was a surprise. Why would Apollo risk that? Was he setting Nancy up? Jupiter had already punished him recently had that broken Apollo a bit? Made him want to lash out against his own children?

Her other eyebrow went up when Nancy asked for a bit of Mads blood. Niah looked over at Apollo sitting in his 'chariot' "Is this a setup or something? Is he trying to get you trouble with Jupiter?" She asked honestly. Niah was worried, she didn't want Nancy to get in trouble. She decided that if she had to she'd administer the Physician's Cure. She wouldn't let Jupiter's wrath hurt her friend.

Rose kept her smirk small seeing Megan take the lead. She wasn't the slightest bit surprised. She followed the lead ready to fight if necessary, but the need didn't arise. Rosalia had a good point. That had been too easy. It didn't sit right in Rose's stomach. There were also the random people thanking Jack now that he was found.

Merlin made them all invisible again and both Sierra and Layla were in firm agreement that leaving was the best plan. But that scream set her teeth on edge. She wanted to go too, but what if someone was being hurt. What if they could help that person? Rose hadn't thought of herself as a hero, she didn't want to start being dumb and going into situations that would be a very bad idea. She also didn't want to leave someone who was screaming to die or anything.

Rose knew Megan wouldn't care anymore though. She had her brother and would want to leave right that moment. Rose understood that. It was how she felt at the prison. She glanced at Merlin, he had gotten them this far. How did anyone do anything in this dang world without magic? She hated it. Wanted nothing to do with the Magic. She wanted to figure out how to survive with her brain and hands. Magic had gotten them this far though, hopefully it could get them out of the situation.

"It's not a demon cat." Colby defended. Though he couldn't actually be certain about that. He frowned when they were told to get back inside, but the urgency was enough to get him to move. "Come on up Silky." He said and patted his shoulder. Then the other. Jack jumped up followed swiftly by Silky. The weight seemed balanced well enough that it wouldn't be a distraction as long as both cats played nicly with each other, which it seemed like they would.

He hurried inside and looked at Maddie when he joined them. "You can't hear Silky? She told me her name. I know I'm good with cats but I've never heard them actually talk before." He was a little worried, but he tried to think about it rationally. He was in a world of magic and he was part cat. Maybe no cats had talked to him before because he couldn't, not that they couldn't.

He paused and looked at the black cat on his shoulder. "Can you talk to? Am I the actual cat whisperer?" Colby had been obsessed with Jackson Galaxy. That was where Jack's name actually came from. He had been named Jackson, but Colby only ever called him Jack.

"I can distract it while one of you goes for the gem. Once we have the gem we can either escape or kill it?" Niah would be perfectly happy dropping the whole of the mountain on the dragon if it came to that. She wasn't totally excited about the idea of playing distraction for the dragon, but she was decent enough with a sword, and out of the three of them could fly which gave her an advantage that the other two didn't have. As long as she was able to control the armor...and more importantly it didn't turn out to be cursed. A part of her still expected something to go wrong and the armor to try to kill her.

"Mads...Do you think you could make yourself invisible? Long enough to get the gem and get out?" Niah wasn't certain if the ability was possible, or if Mads had the strength after climbing. She still looked exahusted. "Even better if you can do it to both of you and you guys get in and out without being seen. Hopefully, the dragon doesn't have any extra back up." She looked toward their goal. They could sit and watch for a bit and see if they saw other creatures.
"I am pleased you feel better." MZ-33 said taking Raynor's comment seriously. "I do not know how to use explosives. It is not in my programming. However, if you instruct me on what needs to be done I can follow the steps." MZ-33 said matter of factly.

A blue glow appeared showing the map of the droid facility. MZ-33 pointed to a room on it. "This is the primary power reactor room." A path lit up. "This was the planned path for the attack." There was a preganate pause and then MZ-33 said. "If we follow that path we are more likely to find resistance. It would be best to use whatever distraction the original team made to our advantage." It also would be less likely for them to find any survivors if there were ones to be found, but MZ-33 didn't say that. She wanted to see what Raynor's decision was without drawing the conclusions for him.

It was a test. Raynor could chose the more dangerous path that could lead to a higher chance of failure, capture or death. Or the safer path that was more likely to succeed. The harder path would also give them a chance to potentially save people. Neither was the correct answer, but MZ-33 knew which one her first master would have chosen.

"If you require other assistance let me know." It was a vague offer. Truthfully not very helpful considering how little Raynor knew about the droid's capabilities. If protocol droids blueprints were one thing someone had spilled oil over the blueprints that made MZ-33, and hadn't bothered to clean it up.
