Sorry for the radio silence on my part. I've had a week of 9 hours each day doing a math program for college, and between that and moving in and all the business I had to take care of this week, I've had next to no time to sit down and really write anything. Now that I'm settled, I'll gear up to reply later in my free time either today or tomorrow when I have nothing going on. Whichever comes right after the portkeys fire, and I'll retcon Ross in then.

(Mary's POV)

The morning of departure was filled with last minute realizations and some hilarious incidence. Once things had calmed down, Mary met up with Elise in Diagon Alley. The two started scouring the place for something that looked like it belonged and was out of place. It took some time, but they eventually found an old muggle book, it was worn and the title had been washed away in some accident involving tea or coffee.

“Elise, I think this is it.” Mary held up the book, the spine of which flopped halfway down.

“I think this is as well. Ah portkeys, a clever way to use trash and get to a new place without apperating. I can’t remember, have you used one before Mary?” Mary’s cousin, Elise, looked at the book.

“No, is it like apperating?” Mary looked at the book like it was a dangerous item, and might bite her.

“It’s kinda like apperating, but less feeling like you’re being squeezed out of a tube of toothpaste.” Mary’s frown grew a bit.

“Great.” She took a deep breath. “I am not looking forward to this.” Mary then looked around, “Who else is supposed to be meeting us here?”

“I don’t know. All I know is there were three spots we could go to meet up, but the choice was yours. There could be more than two of us, or it could be the two of us. I guess we’ll see as it gets closer to the time.” Elise looked around as well and then sighed. “I just hope Will isn’t joining us here… I know he’s on the trip as well.”

Mary nodded and looked at the book. “Okay, guess we just wait then.” She leaned against the wall to wait.

Name: Clara Boyce

Appearance:

Clara stands at five foot six, with long brown hair that curls slightly, and grey eyes. She is more on the slender side, but has some meat on her bones.

Age: 27

Position: Librarian in Training/ Magic user

Former Employment: DJ

Short Bio: Clara was born to two college professors, so the burden on the young girl had some high expectations. So while she was really smart, she did the one thing that most kids did, and rebelled. While she was smart, and tested in the genius level of IQ, she never did her homework, bombed tests on purpose, and just basically meandered through school. The only thing that brought her joy was music. She picked up two instruments, the piano and the violin.

Of course, as music was the one thing she loved, she eventually became a DJ, while still being very smart. She chose to go through community college as well, realizing she couldn't devote herself to her music her entire life, but her parents were not exactly pleased by her choice of school. However, their relationship has gotten worse as she refused to go for a four year degree, and just went after for her associate degree, so now they no longer talk.

Clara knows there is more in the world than just learning, even if that is all her parents might focus on. As much as she loves being a DJ, she would happily jump on the chance to do more in the world and learn more about it.
