Marco wanted to be a little happy for Waverly that she had gotten the second riddle right, but his attention turned to Em, and he could tell something was wrong with her. He wasn't sure what it was precisly, but being with Em for as long as he had been, he could tell when things were wrong. Then he saw the glare Waverly gave Em, just for obeying orders and his own eyes narrowed. Yes, Waverly was in a bad spot, but no one hurt his Em, not like that.

Marco stepped in close and wrapped his arms tightly around Em, and gently ran one of his hands through her hair, just at the base of her skull, and rubbed there softly. "Hey, Em, look at me. Speak to me. What's going on beautiful?" He stepped away from the Labryinth with her and nuzzled her gently as he gently tried to comfort and calm her.

However, his attention was drawn over to Demi again as the boy bolted fort and held himself just at the hole, as if about to launch himself in. "Demi! Please! Come back from there! We can't spare anyone if you go in... please! Stay here!" He could hear the strain in his voice as he spoke, as if the thought of watching someone else toss themselves head first into that chaos would break him. It quite possibly could. He had never asked for this... to be a demi-god. Hell, his five years were almost up right? He could easily retire after this...

He shoved those thoughts aside as he knew he needed to be strong for the moment. Be strong for Emily, be strong for Demi, the fifth cohort and even Waverly.

Lara looked over at their boat and winced as she saw it being smashed and broken into. There went their ride, but thankfully that meant they didn't have to try to return it now, right? She noticed the cave as well and then went to follow Arnora inside, and looked at Elizabeth. The other girl was starting to look pretty bad, and Lara was pretty sure she had lost quite a bit of blood. Once they were in the cave, Lara gestured for Arnora to set Elizabeth down.

For the moment, all Lara could do was rip off parts of the shirt she was wearing and tie them around the bleeding wounds of Elizabeth's both. She wasn't sure if Elizabeth would survive at this rate, and so she looked up to Arnora and frowned at that and then sat down and leaned up against the wall. They needed to still be quiet for the moment, as the dragur were distracted for the moment, but who knew how long that would last.

Marco's mind was in a bit of a tizzy as he was trying to figure out what the Greek Demi-god was speaking about, while looking over to see that the sphinx was circling Waverly like she was one tasty Sphinx treat. He did have to wonder more, but his mind was derailed when Emily asked him who Rosie was. "I don't know whom Demi is speaking about, I'm guessing Rosie is another Greek demi-god... Em can you do me a favor love and find out why he wants drachmas and water? Water we have, drachmas... that's Greek money if I remember right so we don't have any. I'm going to call Nancy and let her know what's going on."

Marco was thankful he had not thought to put his compact away earlier when he had put Milo in the Cohort. He tugged the little compact out and within full view of those there, they could see the little rainbow it reflected before he spoke. "Nancy Parker please." It would take a moment, but Nancy's face would appear in the mirror.

On Nancy's end, she would see a floating figure of Marco's head before her, and Nancy blinked slightly, a bit confused by the low budget Haunted Mansion Marco had going on. Something told her he wasn't about to bring her coffee though. "What's gone wrong?" Nancy asked him flatly.

Marco sighed as he ran his free hand through his short hair. "Two problems Nancy. One, The Labryinth decided to show up in the Sewers, and two, Waverly dashed in and is currently having a tet a tet with the Sphinx."

"I'm going to gag her with a fucking spoon," Nancy muttered, clenching her hands for a brief moment as she tried to let her initial rage subside. If Waverley had bothered to learn about their world, she wouldn't have been in this mess. And now, they were about to face a gigantic army, and she couldn't ask anyone to go into the Labyrinth after her - it was suicide. And she couldn't go herself, Rome needed her, Madalyne needed her, everyone's life depended on her. She couldn't sacrifice everyone for one person. "Two things. First, no one is allowed to go into the Labyrinth, that's an order. If anyone tries, a court martial will be the least of their worries. Second, if you can communicate with her, tell her to shelter in place." She left out rest of her sentence - if she survives the sphinx.

"Got it... should we have the rest of the Fifth pull out of the Sewers until we figure out what to do?" Marco nervously bit the inside of his cheek as he looked at Nancy's reflection. He could tell there was a lot on her shoulders for the moment, and this was adding to her stress.

"No. Anything else?"

"Not for now. I'll make sure it's clear no one else follow her." With that, he offered her a small smile. "We'll finish our task here best we can. Take care Nancy."

"May the gods be with you, Marco," Nancy told him. With that, Marco snapped the compact close and looked over the rest of the Fifth Cohort.

"Alright guys, no one is allowed to head into the Labyrinth to help out Waverly, under threat of court martial. We don't need to lose anyone else there... and Waverley, since I know you can hear us... once you're done there, try to shelter in place! We'll figure it out!" Marco looked over the rest of the Fifth Cohort and then looked to Em and Demi, as if waiting for them to speak.

"I do agree, running seems like a good idea." Lara could see they were getting outnumbered as more dragur appeared at that point, and there were more coming out of the woods. She did take another stab at the drauger in front of her and it crumpled to the ground, having been taken out by her attacks. Thankfully that did mean there was some space between them and the dragurs that were working their ways out of the woods.

She ran after Arnora and then smiled a bit as she saw the ice wall go up and was about to thank Arnora when Elizabeth got hit in the leg. Lara dashed after them, going to grab Elizabeth's other side to help support her as they ran off. "So where are we going to go... should we try to get back in the boat or just roll the dice and pray luck is on our side?"

Marco could feel a pit in his stomach opening up when he saw that hole in the wall, one that he was sure that came out of no where. When he stepped closer, he saw a clash of architecture styles and then he took a step back and put an arm up in front of Em to keep her from entering it. "Guys... I don't think any of us should..." Before he could finish, Waverly had shimmed her way through the wall and appear on the other side of the hole. However it seemed that she was stuck on the other side of it and that was what he feared the most.

"Guys, I think that's the Labyrinth, and if it is, we need to stay way from it. I've heard some crazy ass stories about it and we should not go inside. Fuck... Sorry Waverly, if you can hear me." Marco knew they were going to need to let Nancy and Madalyn know what was going on, when his attention was drown to the new voice joining them. He blinked at the beauty before them, before this beauty addressed him personally.

"I guess Leandra is my niece... as for that. That is not a break room. Don't cross the threshold of it. It is the Labyrinth, and it is old and twisted, and goes all over the world. I am Marco, and you good sir, have me at a disadvantage. You know me, but I do not know you. I take it you are one of our Greek brethren here to help us out?"

Lara's eyes narrowed as she realized that the Dragur had found their camp and then at that point she went to pull out her spear and shield, and let out a cry as the first arrow hit her in the shoulder. "Oh... you're going to regret that." She growled out as she strapped her shield to her arm. It did sting a big as her left shoulder had been the one to get hit, but thankfully she could use her shield to hold onto and ride out the pain. Besides, an arrow was nothing compared to bullets, or at least that was the lie she was willing to tell herself at the moment.

She dashed in to close the distance to one of the Dragur and she aimed up, hitting him in the chest with her spear. She had hoped it had been a killing blow, but she saw that it had gone more to the left, hitting him in the right side of his chest. She did notice him swing his own axe at her, and she held up her shield and blocked it's swing, and the sound of metal on metal rang out in the little camp, as his blow had hit the center of her shield. "What should we do now, Arnora?"

Marco could feel the headache starting to brew when Waverley started to sing. It wasn't entirely her fault, it was just that this was the wrong time to try to use her music to inspire others, and the acoustics in the sewers were not the most... friendly. Then Waverly started to speak and he could tell that some of the others were starting to waver, but he looked over at Em and with a nod, he decided to do something that would be helpful.

"We protect this place because it is our home. New Rome has stood for well over one hundred and fifty years, and you forget Waverly... these are not just children. We are all soldiers of the legions of New Rome. We are all demi-gods or legacies of the great heroes and gods of old and new, and we can do this. We can stand firm against the Titans... we have before, and we will again! Remember the Great War! We took down titans on Mount Tam and here they are foolishly bringing the fight to us! We are children of Rome! Are you with me!" He grinned as he looked around at the rest of his cohort and then to the building they were doing.

"Let us fix on the task at hand for now."

"A warm meal for three coming up then. As for leaving in the morning, that sounds fair. We do not want to delay too long." Lara offered them both a small smile as she pulled some of the MRE's out of her bag. Thankfully these were nice ones from the Hotel, so they would be delicious. Once the fire was crackling away well, she put a pot of water on the fire and then waited for the water to heat up.

"I also have cookies... I made a fresh batch the other day and brought some with us. I figure we can have some for dessert. They are Krakelingen, so they look like pretzels, but they are very sweet." Lara gently pulled a small tin out of her bag and set it by the fire, and opened to let the scent of the krakelingen spill out a bit.

Once they were safe back in the Fifth Cohort's barracks Marco headed over to where his bed was and opened the nice sized cage that was Milo's home. He gently tipped the little sugar glider out of the papoose and into his cage, and watched as Milo climbed right up into his little hammock and fell asleep again. Marco did take that moment to make sure that Milo also had fresh water and food before he turned to look at Em and hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry I'm falling to bits in front of you now love... I'm sorry I'm like this some times. I... I wish I could do more..." He muttered a bit into her hair and sighed softly. "I know we need to get ready, I know that, but can I please have this moment with you before everyone else comes back and we're needed?" He gently planted a small kiss on her forehead as he waited for her answer. He just needed some time... then he could get ready to fight.

"Making camp and getting a bit warmer does sound like a good idea." Lara was a bit thankful they had pulled over to shore, to rest for a bit, even if they were still so close to the water. She did work a bit to push that out of her mind again, as she needed to focus on what they were doing at the moment. She gripped the bag of belongings she had brought with her and lifted it with ease out of the boat and brought it to the shore.

She pulled out the rations she had stashed right on top and pulled out a few of the better sounding ones and put them to the side. She then found the boots and snow jacket she had packed and went to tug them on. They were probably of a better quality than what she had been use to in her living life, as they were trimmed with real fur, and had been made by the magic of the Hotel. She snuggled into the coat, and let herself warm up a bit more.

"I can heat up some food for the both of you, if you want? I know you both used a lot of energy so you could use some food, right?"
