Personality TraitsWithin the public eye, many know Hoshi as a straightforward, rash woman full of energy. A wildcard on the race track, Hoshi is the type to take unnecessary risks that always seem to pay off in the end. In reality, however, this is more or less a farce that Hoshi puts up in front of others. The true Hoshi is someone who is sensitive at heart, easily showing frustration over a simple mistake that she'll beat herself up over until she fixes it. To Hoshi, there isn't just "doing your best", there's "doing better than your best". Taxing on her mental health, surely, but Hoshi refuses to see anything but the checkerboard finish line.
BiographyTwenty-four years ago, Hoshi was born an only child to thrill-seeking parents who loved to race. Before she could even walk or talk, Hoshi was watching knock-off NASCAR rips with terrible subtitles and watching her father race his motorcycle. She dreamed of being one of those on the track, and when she encountered a group of fellow auto geeks in middle school, that dream became reality with her father's assistance. With the help of her father (and a few beers), Hoshi and her friends were taken on as protégés by her father's team owner, Masuda Akinori, who would help them learn the ins and out of the hobby as long as they listened and took it seriously.
As the years went on, Hoshi would eventually join her father on the track in a father-daughter racing duo. After a few early victories (but no championship wins) won by her competitive nature to defy huge risks, it seemed Hoshi was becoming the star of the show, being noticed by important sponsors and the racing community as a whole. In fact, it was one such sponsor that Hoshi had been visiting in San Francisco, California before her flights—one to give an interview to a group of reporters in Syndney, Australia, and from there to Melbourne to race at the GP circuit on Phillips Island.

- Hoshi is a horrible cook with no sense of taste. Although her dishes seem fine to her, anyone that tries her cooking should probably have an iron stomach before eating. As no one but her friends have tried her cooking so far, the deadly connotations that Hoshi calls a "meal" still remain a secret from the public eye, thankfully.
- Though Hoshi speaks fluent Japanese, her English is rather poor. Without her interpreter to translate, the best Hoshi can do is a jumbled mess of sentence fragments that she sprinkles with bits of Japanese.
- As an up and coming driver, Hoshi has been approached by a few big name sponsors, promoting her to somewhat of a minor celebrity in the racing sphere.
