Had a fun birthday. Had some alligator tail for dinner, overall was pretty good for a place I hadn't been to before. Will start getting back into the groove of things soon.

Hi. If you've wound up here, you're probably wondering who I am.

You can call me Kuro, although some of you might better recognize me by one of the several other names that I have used in the past throughout the 11-ish years that I have spent on this forum. I'm a middle-twenties retail manager that is still trying to relive the glory days of their roleplay career while balancing a full-time job with an unsatiable need for overtime.

I tend to be open to most ideas when it comes to roleplay itself, be it whatever genre, group size, system, etc. That being said, I often gravitate to anything that falls in the following categories: anime, fantasy, slice of life, superhero or survival horror. If you believe that you have an idea that I might be interested in, feel free to shoot me a link; I'll get back to you as soon as I possibly can. Sometimes I forget to check my messages, so don't feel bad about pestering me again if I missed it.

I also have a discord server laying around. If we're cool, then I might be willing to a toss an invite your way.

Watched someone play Forspoken on Twitch, and it was pretty bland looking. (And Twitch only continues to become less user friendly every time I look at it.)
I still have no idea what that game is supposed to be about. The only thing I've even heard about it is people meming the part about a talking gun to death in regards to writing/comparing it to High On Life.

Here's my ratings for the Jurassic films from best to worst.

JP>TLW/JW>JP3>Dominion>FK

I need to rewatch Dominion for the extended cut since I've heard it makes the film much, much better. Overall the film is an okay watch but it tends to lean heavily into the "funny" moments or other such things designed to get a reaction out of the audience (like the coffee scene with Grant) that we see in modern movies. Almost feels like that Dominion is its own movie opposed to being a Jurassic film, honestly.

As for FK, it's just a bad film all around, IMO. It only has a few good moments throughout the film that end up being dwarfed by dumb writing and stupid plot ideas.

Are dice roll apps and honor system common place? Is there a command to roll a die?
Not exactly. Dice is usually only for tabletop-style RPs such as D&D here. Rarely you'll find a RP with dice mechanics elsewhere; everything else tends to be freeform writing.

As for the command, yes and no. We do have a dice system which you can find on the main page. You make a campaign (be it one in general/all rolls or one for a specific RP) and then type your roll in the boxes to roll dice. Once you've rolled you can link the roll into a post by copying the associated url with that specific roll.
