I'm going to have to take a break for awhile. One of my dogs just passed; we went to bed together like we always do and when I woke up she was gone. I feel awful right now.

Had a fun birthday. Had some alligator tail for dinner, overall was pretty good for a place I hadn't been to before. Will start getting back into the groove of things soon.

If you've wound up here, you're probably wondering who I am. You can call me Kuro, although some of you might better recognize me by one of the several other names that I have used in the past throughout the 11-ish years that I have spent on this forum. I'm a middle-twenties retail manager that is still trying to relive the glory days of their roleplay career while balancing a full-time job with an unsatiable need for overtime. I tend to be open to most ideas when it comes to roleplay itself, be it whatever genre, group size, system, etc. That being said, I often gravitate to anything that falls in the following categories: anime, fantasy, slice of life, superhero or survival horror. "That's good, Gladys," Kali replied to her neighbor. She then motioned towards the curbside for Gladys to sit down, helping her if she needed the assistance due to her age. "Why don't you take a seat for now? The police are here. I'll talk to them; just take some deep breaths for me, okay?"
She hoped she could calm Gladys' nerves, Of course, Kali knew it was nigh impossible—her husband was just attacked and they had been in a car accident. At the same time, however, it didn't take a genius to realize that her panic cries were not helping the situation, especially now that the cops were here. The kid, now restrained with handcuffs, was still actively trying to attack people as the officers led him to their cruiser. As much as Kali felt empathy for her neighbor, she didn't want her wailing to distract the officers.
After all, she had seen how Isaac struggled against her coworker. It took two men to subdue one. Whatever sickness these people had, they fought like rabid animals. Isaac was lucky he could hold the teenager down by himself this time, but chance was still up in the air.
"Are you alright?"" She asked Isaac, before turning her attention to one of the officers she planned to talk to. "My neighbors—her husband had been attacked by a homeless individual who bit him on the hand. They must've been on their way home, I think, to treat the injury when a car sped past and hit him."
Kali glanced at Gladys and then again to the officer. "You can ask her, but she's a bit.... shaken, seeing the kid over there. She says the man who attacked her husband acted just like him."
Yeah, I work retail management. We've had so many "last minute!", "Black Friday"-esque, etc. sale events on top of Thanksgiving and Christmas it's not funny. I'm honestly exhausted.
I'm still alive. Just been crushed by work.
