Current I'm going to have to take a break for awhile. One of my dogs just passed; we went to bed together like we always do and when I woke up she was gone. I feel awful right now.

Had a fun birthday. Had some alligator tail for dinner, overall was pretty good for a place I hadn't been to before. Will start getting back into the groove of things soon.

Hi. If you've wound up here, you're probably wondering who I am.

You can call me Kuro, although some of you might better recognize me by one of the several other names that I have used in the past throughout the 11-ish years that I have spent on this forum. I'm a middle-twenties retail manager that is still trying to relive the glory days of their roleplay career while balancing a full-time job with an unsatiable need for overtime.

I tend to be open to most ideas when it comes to roleplay itself, be it whatever genre, group size, system, etc. That being said, I often gravitate to anything that falls in the following categories: anime, fantasy, slice of life, superhero or survival horror. If you believe that you have an idea that I might be interested in, feel free to shoot me a link; I'll get back to you as soon as I possibly can. Sometimes I forget to check my messages, so don't feel bad about pestering me again if I missed it.

I also have a discord server laying around. If we're cool, then I might be willing to a toss an invite your way.

It seemed like her mother hadn't heard what she said. Someone had gotten hurt, and it had been all AJ's fault. Her mother had glossed over it like Shin-ae's condition, or her broken bike, didn't matter. Instead, all concern was swept up into a fury, wherein her mother continuously focused on status updates. That they weren't going to be much further out. That they were going to be there soon. Although AJ was glad her parents were on their way, in the end, she was forced to put aside her concerns for Shin-ae and the woman's bike—at least until her parents arrived.

Thankfully, it hadn't been long before her parents did pull up to the street they had been waiting at. As soon as her father's 2019 BMW 3 Series came to a stop, her mother had leapt out of the vehicle, and raced towards AJ.

"Mom?"

AJ ran in kind to her mother, eagerly returning the wide bear hug her mother had given. She didn't want to let go of her mother. She felt safe in her arms, as if the last hour or so hadn't existed. There was no one being violently murdered. No one screaming for their life. It was just the two of them—and her dad, of course.

Her mother then insisted they go home, back to their apartment and hide until everything blew over. AJ did want to go home, having wanted to ever since the bus bloodbath. However, AJ wasn't keen on the idea. Although the apartment had been a home every other week to AJ, it was tiny, in a busy area of town, and had several families living alongside them in the same complex. What if one of them were... sick, like the one that killed Coach Everett? She had seen how quickly the violence spread first-hand; how fast people turned on each other. They couldn't hide in a packed apartment building with tons of people nearby.

Dad's house had to be more safe. His house was bigger. Had less people around. If anyone could keep them safe, he could.

"I," AJ began, "I think we should go to dad's, mom. He doesn't have as many neighbors as you do."

She looked towards her father, hoping for his approval.

A piece of Lex felt guilty as Billie began to quiet. She knew that the woman had their best interests in heart. No one wanted to be mauled to death, or be have whatever... this thing was passed onto them. That was an entire reasonable thing to ask for. But they couldn't just abandon these people, even if they were infected. People weren't a tool to just be abandoned past its usefulness. All they were looking out for their own survival, without a single care if the roles were reversed.

Sighing, Lex was at a loss as what to do. She rolled her hand through her messy hair. They weren't going to find middle ground, as far as she could see. No one was going to win this argument. But then, Flynn had an idea, piggybacking off June as he pointed to the trailer outside.

It could work. Maybe, she could only hope.

"It's an option." Lex admitted as she glanced around the group. She hoped Gus in particular would be onboard, as he had been the most vocal so far. "It keeps them quarantined without us having to leave them behind. And if anyone does happen to turn into one of those... things, the restraints should stop them from hurting anyone else."

As Liana asked what they should do, Kali was at a loss. Hiding Isaac's bite was a death sentence for each and everyone in the vehicle. On the other hand, bringing it up was likely to make things much, much worse. People were already hot headed about leaving people behind, herself included. Announcing Isaac had been bit earlier in the day was likely to cause the tension to explode within the MRAP, perhaps in violence. Billie was already gripping her rock hammer, while guns were readily in reach for anyone to grab. All it took was for someone to get too hotheaded in the already cramped vehicle.

Kali bit her lip. Why couldn't Isaac have told her sooner? Why did he wait until now? She wanted to curse and scream, but instead internalized her frustration. There was no win-win, even with the suggestion Flynn provided. There was only lose-lose.

"I'll... help. We just need to check for bites. That way, everyone, including those outside, stays safe." Kali spoke up, looking to Flynn. Perhaps he could help her with Isaac, even though locking him up in the trailer would cause even more issues than before. Still, something needed to be done about it. "But how are we going to restrain them if they are bit?"

That's clear but, in a forum specifically dedicated to non-RP?

Seems odd. I remember older BBS having a page limit but that's uh. Not really a concern here.

It was something that was added awhile back. Don't remember when, but the anti-necro feature has been around for some time.

Anyway, I bought Grounded 2 just recently. I've always thought the concept of the series was neat, so I'll have to give it a go-around some time soon. Did pick up State of Decay 2 as well (well, really it's just been sitting in my back log all this time) since @mickilennial mentioned us potentially playing MP together.

"They were fast."

Nancy glanced at the television, and watched the news report on her brawl with the 70th Street thug. Toro, apparently had been her name, which all too fitting for their engagement. A red robot versus a bull—a true corrida de toros.

"Next time, I'm blasting her from the start."

Pulling a screwdriver from her belt, Nancy aligned the tool with one of the many screws that held Zero-Zero's armor plating together. Yet as she prepared to remove the plating to access the servo and wiring protected beneath, Nancy paused her repairs, having overheard commotion from the floor below. Someone, or something had been breaking into the complex.

It wasn't an unusual thing. Though the place was largely abandoned, there had been a time here and there when she had to scare off a few unexpected guests. Teenagers, stupid enough to break in to drink a few beers or "hang out" in private. Still, the thought crossed her mind. What if it wasn't the usual rabble? What if she had been trailed by the 70th? Not wanting to take any chances, Nancy put her tools down and climbed back into Zero-Zero. Flicking a few buttons, Nancy ejected a small, arrow-shaped drone from the exosuit, and ordered it to hover downwards to investigate the situation.

And as she feared, criminals had broken into her domain. However, they weren't the thugs she was expecting. The expensive suits, the mannerisms—they had belonged to the Delgato criminal syndicate. The very bastards that destroyed her life. The villains that slaughtered her father. And now they wanted to claim her home to further their criminal enterprise?

She wasn't going to let that happen. She wasn't going to let them hurt her, or anyone, anymore.

"Surprise!" Nancy announced, having made her way to the stairs to meet the Delgato head-on. The pulse blasters began to heat up and locked onto their target, unleashing a vibrant beam down the steps. "And goodbye."

@Mahz Hey, on the topic of media formats, do you have plans to expand on media links? Currently the site only can link via [youtube]. Spotify could be a good one, especially for those who use this thread often.
Seems the previous thread can't be posted in due to inactivity or something? So I'm bringing it back.

Non-RP threads will eventually close to inactivity, yes.
Welcome to the guild, @Moonberry.

By the way ! Ask me about Isekai Hell! :P

Didn't this setting just get blacklisted from RPN?
