Also, I'm about to post my latest and greatest creation, along with a reworked creation to the  Ranking HQ. Both are high tier, both are vastly different.

Surprised as he was, Brighton had no fear of recourse for his missed action. Tanzo and he knew well how painful electricity can be, his foe wouldn't risk it with a metal blade. Brighton had felt the spark leave his blade, he had felt it flow into the man. There wasn't a chance of him risking it now, not with that blade. 

In response to the feint, he had simply remained in the posture of his attempted thrust for a moment before reacting. It seemed as though he was either totally okay with the result, or had expected as much. 

Brighton lowered his arms downwards, letting his hand slide behind his back again. With three decisively sharp hops backwards, Brighton positioned himself a decent enough distance away from Tanzo. Avoiding what could possibly be a deadly powerful attack. Carefully observing the manifestation of ice around his hands, the way they formed into gauntlets of frozen air. 

Tanzo didn't know it, but Brighton was already coming down from his electrical charge. It has never lasted too long, and really only serves as a bluff or short term strike enhancer. Right now it was working as a spectacular bluff. Exchanging reach for something safer, well, at least he thinks that it is.  

Deciding on fisticuffs was not preferable to using a blade, and honestly, Sunshine wasn't honorable to disarm as well. Mostly because he doesn't have gauntlets himself, and touching that ice bare-handed seems literally suicidal. And while Brighton is a lot of things, he's not out to get himself killed easily. "Your choice of weapon is so much more unique than mine own. I hadn't the foggiest that Ki could manifest as ice. Intriguing!"
