<Snipped quote by Legend>

And, somehow, so is Ma'at. That is the whole of it? That you know?

Yes.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Is that possible? In what way?

Yes. I do not have the answer you seek. That is the same reason Seth could not be allowed to live; he would be incapable of battling Baphumet.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Elaborate? How can she not fight Baphumet?

She is fully blocked from doing so.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Would he not? Why?

Because they are now unable to engage in conflict. Not that it matters at this point. However, this applies to Ma'at as well.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Why, I never denied that. I simply considered that his desire to protect people led to his untimely death.

Rather, it was an unfortunate circumstance. I am continuing to analyze the situation, but do keep in mind that he very well could have survived. But he would not have been able to defeat Baphumet, and would eventually become a sitting duck for destruction.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Have I romanticised the situation too much? I've been told I do that.

Entirely. I would rather you all survive.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

That is what I meant. He wanted to be left alone--but, because of his power, he was targetted, and to protect the Codex, he only had to become more powerful. Oh, how many of the moral are destroyed in following the paths of righteousness.

That is incorrect as well.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Elaborate.

In the end, power was never our end goal. I said several times that I exist in order to protect the Codex if they ever lack a protector. The goal is to prevent our order from dying at the hands of a tyrant. And once that goal is achieved, I couldn't care much less about what happens to me. Neither could Seth. Once every Codex is safe, then there is no use for all of that power. It would be beneficial that everyone learn that, lest Baphumet happens twice.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

An unfortunate end, then. He was too powerful, one might say.

One might say that, yes.
*Looks down*
But they would be wrong.
<Snipped quote by Legend>

Oh?

Seth truly did have the best interests of all the Codex in mind. He simply wanted to be left alone.
