What if I used a magnifying glass on the sun to heat up a piece of iron, and it got so hot that it started glowing? Would the light from the metal hurt you since the energy it got to glow came from the sun?

What makes you respond differently to a photon from the sun compared to a photon from a wire? Is it the wavelength? Something else?
