Well...I don't know...feel a bit left out. All of you guys want tone Physicists and be most of the Sciency stuff while, I'm here with Engineering...
That's a science. And I wanted to major in computer science- programming. Which is closely related to engineering, and I once considered minoring in mechanical engineering. I may double major or minor.

They are named close to each other, but they are completely () different. The framework is different, what they're used for is different, the only alikeness is their names and that they're code.

Quite a bit, although I definitely can't say that I'm advanced in it. And I'm aiming for a PhD in both Physics and Chemistry, although Physics will take precedence.
Did you get to classes and objects? Oh, I recently programmed an interactive game of Star Wars Yahtzee (20+ hours of work total), so you can play that of you want. I also have non Star Wars version.

...I just now realised what I said.I'm sorry, I just need to vent, let it all out. ;~; I didn't mean any of what I said. It just makes me so mad when people dismiss those things as unimportant; irrelevant. It's important to me, relevant to me as a budding Physicist. Things can get... Heated... When people insult and dismiss the things I love so very much. Theoretical Physics is to me one of the most interesting parts of it, because it opens doors to new and amazing discoveries that change the way we think about everything. When I first learned about quarks I was so excited by it I learned Javascript and made the beginnings of an incremental game about the building blocks of everything.From what you said, I'm sure that you understand how I feel.
I'm a chemist and a programmer, but I won't get mad at someone for calling Java stupid, or for thinking electron orbitals are irrelevant. I understand, but it's still interest to interest. (In addition, how much did you learn?)
