I tried for character development with Eviledd's character. Perhaps I didn't do it very well, but I did try.
You could have chosen Hjalti's, or Marcus XVI's, or approached Shadowsaint's when the latter's PC went off to do his own thing.

@jordy0403, Actually, funny thing; remember when Par sacrificed his dignity, then most of the PCs were put together on rafts to float, and for an added garnish, an NPC suggested that you guys go to the Brotherhood? That had the perfect recipe for Character Development.
I expected people to begin debating the suggestion, to pass recriminations and blame over Par's sacrifice, Liberty Island's fall, and their survival without their pride, and begin talking/arguing with each other about what to do. But instead, they went along with it, including you.
Edit: Oh, and commentary over the really big thing my GMPC did for the other PCs IC.
Edit 2: Marcus, Hjalti, and Shadowsaint were exceptions.
