Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

The Story So Far - Will be updated with each advance in the Plot

Old Man's Corner Arc

The longest arc of the RP, the arc begins with the various PCs having slice of life moments, except for Paradise 'Par' Rapids and Greg, whose first move was to buy, then free, slaves from Old Man's Corner in order to set up a brief salvaging project in New York's Public Library.

After this, Alan Anderson then launches an internal coup in the New York Cell of the Enclave, taking it over and proclaiming his new agenda: To enslave the people of the Wasteland instead of exterminating them. Then, after securing control of the organization, he goes to Vault 81 and forms a pact with it; Vault 81 will provide more manpower for the Enclave, in exchange for technology. With a loyal source of minions secured, Alan then conquers Brooklyn, enslaving and killing the raider population and turning physically appealing members into a harem after sterilizing the women.

The conquest of Brooklyn results in a number of raiders trying to migrate to Liberty Island, only to be destroyed by a desperate defense from the Islanders. At the same time, however, Old Man's Corner strikes, raiding Liberty City and taking several families as slaves. Par, Gabriel, and another PC would lead a raid against the slavers' settlement in response, freeing the slaves and setting the place on fire, inflicting a lot of damage, especially as a lot of other new characters, including a newcomer, Max, would enter the scene.

At the same time, a second band of PCs would raid a Hospital held by the Enclave, freeing the enslaved parents of a PC...who would then reveal that the Enclave was preparing to attack Liberty Island.

Oh, and the Brotherhood finds an old Construction Droid in the ruins of Colombia University, a treaded vehicle with a giant crane, a laser and mortar for demolitions, and a recycling machine. Once found, it was to be used for both peace and war.

Enclave Arc

The Enclave attacks Liberty Island at noonday, and despite a desperate defense by the PCs and NPCs, the Enclave has both numbers and tech, and so the city is conquered, and the population rounded up and enslaved. Alan plans to execute the PCs, but Par manages to talk the Enclave's new Colonel out of that by 1.) pointing out that the PCs can spread the news of how the 'New Enclave' is powerful and scary, and 2.) offering to be his compliant sex slave. Alan agrees, and even allows the PCs to keep their lighter weapons and gear, before said PCs are offloaded into three rafts that then go upstream.

The PCs then make camp on the banks of the Hudson, before being found by a Brotherhood Patrol, which reveals that now that the Enclave in New York has become so powerful, they are switching to a Midwestern BoS policy of hiring Ghouls and Super Mutants...temporarily. Most of the PCs then leap at the urge to join the Brotherhood, and those that don't still accompany the Paladin and Knights anyway.

In the Enclave base, Par tries to collect as much information as he can on the enemy.

The next day, the Enclave attacks Old Man's Corner, taking it over and enslaving the Slavers' Guild (irony!). The Brotherhood then counterattacks by splitting the PCs into two groups, one to attack the Corner before the Enclave are fully entrenched, and another to raid Enclave Base One and rescue Par.

Thanks to the treachery of an Enclave NPC, Jose Barre (whose logic was that he wanted to kill all 'muties', not see them be turned to sex slaves by Alan), Par managed to get out with his old clothes and a Laser Pistol.

Next big Update: Par, now free, intercepts the rescue mission sent to save him, and tells them of the Enclave's internal intrigues (which by now, have resulted in an assassination attempt on Alan Anderson), as well as a secret tunnel that leads under the Base. With this, Par, another PC, and a bunch of Brotherhood NPCs wreak havoc on the Enclave base, and wound Alan Anderson, who is killed by one of his subordinates. The remains of the Enclave forces, except for said subordinate, then head for Vault 81 to conduct their final stand; the subordinate plans to continue the fight as a guerilla.

Then, once Par is brought back to Sky Citadel, a party is held, while the BoS prepares to attack the remaining Enclave.
Note: I am well aware that in Canon, Marie Ashur should only be 10 in the RP's 'present', as she was a newborn in Canon!Fallout 3. But in order to give this Alternate Universe a unique villain, I am tweaking things a little bit in order to age her up.

Name= Marie Ashur (Alternate Version)

Age= 19 in the Enclave Arc, 20 in the Commonwealth Arc

Looks (picture optional)=

Pretend she's in Power Armor!

Personality= Marie Ashur is a cold and unforgiving person, with none of the remorse that her father did show for his enslaving ways, and all of her mother's ruthlessness. She is a firm believer in her father's beliefs in Order, Progress, and Security, having those ingrained to her from a young age, and abhors the idea that the 'working class' of the Pitt be allowed to rule themselves. They tried to kidnap and experiment on her when she was ten (In Canon, she was just a baby), for goodness' sake! No, the ones that are strong must keep the weak on hold, in order to keep the peace and ensure prosperity for all, even the would-be rebels.

As regards the Institute, Marie admires them for their efficiency, their pursuit of order, and their technological achievements, but she isn't blind to the fact that once they've destroyed the Brotherhood, they would destroy the Pitt, too. But that conflict can wait for another time. Besides, she and Shaun/Father were kin, both being unmutated humans...

Faction= The Pitt.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L= (42 Points spread wisely. Cannot go over 10 on any one stat)
Strength- 6
Perception- 5
Endurance- 6
Charisma- 9
Intelligence- 6
Agility- 5
Luck- 5

Backstory= Marie Ashur was born with a special ability: she was immune to mutation of all kinds, as well as resistant to radiation. This would have been cause for joy for all, if not for the fact that her parents, Ishmael Ashur and Sandra Kudananika, were the rulers and slavemasters of The Pitt, a city of slavers and slaves centred around a working steel mill. This ensured that at the age of ten (less than that in canon), several of the slaves would seek to kidnap her in order to gain not just a cure for the sicknesses of the region, but also their freedom. However, this traumatic event was halted by the interference of three adventurers, who had been sent to infiltrate the Pitt, but had chosen to side with Ashur for filthy lucre.

Ever since then, Marie pursued her studies in war and administration, as well as gained a ruthless, or at least brutal streak. Growing up to be a powerful warrior, she saw her father distributing the cure formed from her body to the masses of the Pitt, and he and her mother deciding that the time to give more freedoms to the slaves had come, as well as unify the Wasteland under their command. The second, she could agree with. The first, she was afraid would lead to disorder, and revenge attacks by the slaves who had been so ill-treated. She would not allow it, she would not allow the people who had once tried to destroy her life to have another chance...and so she was going to do something.

Gathering her father's most brutal and ambitious troops to her, she launched a coup against her own parents, forcing them to adbicate in her favor. She then undertook to consolidate her rule, bloodily purging many would-be rebels, as well as recruiting more raiders and mercenaries in preperation for finally unifying the Wastes. However, she was confronted by the growing power of the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood, who regarded her and her father as traitors. After her first few probing attacks were destroyed, it was clear to her that she would have to reach further afield for allies.

She found them in the Institute.

Initially, the members of MIT were cold to her approaches, regarding her as a 'crude barbarian'; this disdain turned into interest when they found out that she was immune to mutation, however, and the Directors eventually gave her a holographic audience. She, smiling all the way, then outlined to them the advantages of having an ally who can distract the Brotherhood, even attack them from another quarter, and eventually, she was allowed to meet holographically with Shaun/Father.

They agreed to put aside their differences to destroy their enemies, and so Marie lent her military mind and expertise to advise the Institute on how to destroy the Railroad and drive the Minutemen almost to extinction, while the Institute gave her technology to use against the Brotherhood, as well as as (Edit: an holographic conference room). Of course, Marie was careful not to allow any of her key personnel to be replaced by Synths, warning Shaun in the harshest possible terms not to even try.

Nevertheless, the Institute/Pitt partnership was something that was, for now, profitable for both of them...

Weapon choice= Power Armor, Laser Pistol, Laser Rifle.

Any other info not included in the above= N/A.
Name= Paradise 'Par' Rapids

Age= 19

Looks (picture optional)=

Personality= Par looks like someone motivated to make a quick buck, and most of the time, that much is true. He likes bottlecaps/water whatever you can pay him. However, Par is also someone who is fond of knowledge, loves knowledge, and knows exactly what a well-educated human mind can do, meaning that he sees slavery, which involves keeping humans uneducated, as a backwards behavior - literally. However, he sees the rediscovery of new technologies and methods as the solution to slavery, not just brute force - although as the slavers are in the way of the restoration of new technologies/adaptation of new methods, he does accept it. Nevertheless, Par is willing to trade with slavers, and even buy slaves, as part of his mission.

Faction= Custom Faction: Book Runners (They sell Guns too)

Backstory= Long, long ago, a group of 'rich, nutty survivalists' purchased an old zinc mine in the Mountains of New York State, which they turned into a mini-vault, stuffed with books, guns, and materials for making both, along with a mushroom farm. Once the bombs hit, Par's ancestors, close friends of those nutty survivalists, waited out the radiation and the fallout, planning to make it big once the world had settled down, selling guns and knowledge in order to remake civilization in their image. And, well, that was a good plan, but prone to complications, namely the fact that a bunch of 'rich snobs' would spend the intervening years being cooped up with each other. They didn't cope well, and thus ended up killing each other.

Par's grandparents, who thankfully evaded the bloodbath, had much more common sense, treating the servants they had brought in to the mini-vault as equals, albeit out of necessity as old bonds of loyalty fell apart. They also trained their children how to survive, which they did. When the radiation finally faded to sustainable levels, Par's parents were one of the first to get out of the old mine, encountering raiders and tribals on the way, as well as towns and scavengers. Using their knowledge of superior gunmaking and mercantile knowledge, as well as using their superior guns if they had to, Par's parents and fellow compatriots found themselves providing a vital service, their ability to 'sell death' making them sarcosanct to most parties.

However, Par's mother, Linda Rapids, disliked selling only weapons of death, especially when much knowledge, especially that of agriculture, had been lost. And so, at her urging, the survivalists began looking for openings to provide books to those still able to read, and setting up schools for those who could not in what towns were safe. But this was not entirely altruistic or innocent on the new 'Book Runners' parts; the most intelligent of the kids were encouraged to become merchants as well, providing a portion of their profits to the Runners. Not merely that, but as old farming and hunting almanacs and the techniques outlined within them helped increase crop yields and game, the Book Runners demanded, and got, a share of the cut.

In time, new factories of guns and printing presses of books were set up all across back-country New York, and all seemed well. Then came news of events in the Capital Wasteland via the Pitt, and things didn't turn out to be so hot after all; two new factions with superior tech, the Enclave and Brotherhood of Steel, had appeared, potentially endangering the Book Runners' profits. So Paradise 'Par' Rapids, now a new up-and-coming merchant, volunteered to be sent to New York's ruins, in order to search for new technology or information, or at least resources, so that he can preserve the Book Runners' monopoly on guns and knowledge, or at least find a bargaining chip in future 'negotiations'. Instead, he found the Brotherhood setting up shop in Empire State Building.

Undeterred, Par Rapids began to do what he best can - trade. Trade with the slavers at Old Man's Corner, trade with the towns at Liberty Island, trade with everyone else he can find, so that he can collect information on the city itself. Gradually, however, he began to reach an enlightenment; he was a gunseller and thus sarcosanct. He had information on the strengths and weaknesses of each group. If he really wanted to, he can do anything he wanted.

But what did he want? An educated, enlightened world was not within his grasp, he knew that. But perhaps he can leave New York better off than when he found it, and give himself a center of power on the side...

Yes, that would please his parents and other compatriots. The Book Runners will have a foothold.

Weapon choice= 12.7mm submachine gun, Knife, Colt 6520 10mm
Any other info not included in the above= Paradise 'Par' Rapids is interested in the New York Public Library, if it still exists.

To emphasize that this is an Alternate Universe, and so to prevent someone from playing the Lone Wanderer or Sole Survivor, as well as accuse us of Canon Defilement for making Marie Ashur 20 years old.

Fallout Infinities: An Alternate Fallout World

Original Thread by Madly33

War, War Never Changes...but people however, do.

In this alternate universe, there were no individual heroes (except for the Chosen One, and even he didn't save his region alone), but rather many champions, people who stood up for their homes, their communities, their hopes for a better world. In New York, a war raged between the Enclave, under a new leader who wanted to enslave the people of the Wasteland instead of exterminating them, and the Brotherhood of Steel, led by a progressive supporter of Elder Lyons who wanted to balance out preserving technology and helping the people of the Wastes. But the ones who tipped the balance were the heroes and heroines of the Wasteland, who defeated the Enclave's new Colonel, throwing the remnants of the Enclave into disarray.

Now, the brave heroes who had rescued New York are about to make the final moves to extinguish the enemy once and for all, only to find that a universe of surprises awaits them.

For in this alternate world, Marie Ashur, daugther of Ashur of The Pitt, was not a baby at the time of her attempted abduction, but a little girl of ten, who was traumatized by the attempt to overthrow her father. Another decade later, in the story's present day, she is now a woman of 20, and the new leader of The Pitt when she forced her father to adbicate.

Willingly using her Unique DNA as a bargaining chip with The Institute, she made an alliance of convinence with the bigoted and saccharine organization of mad scientists, putting pressure on the Brotherhood, who thought of her and her father as traitors to be exterminated, on two fronts.

Elder Sarah Lyons, who survived in this universe as well, had to adapt by opening the doors of the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood to Ghouls and Super Mutants, as the Western Brotherhood, jealous of her father's achievements, would sooner order the valiant heroine's assassination instead of offering her aid.

And so, even as the Enclave's tattred remains prepared for the New York Brotherhood's final strike, new threats gather in the Commonwealth...
