Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

@Letter BeeAltering time in that way is more of a Master level ability, but healing is only intermediate, so Alexander can have healing powers. Likewise, vaporizing a person is also master level, but creating steam or heating things are intermediate.

All right, will edit.
Name: Ascot Rook

Appearance:

Age: 14

Skills: Ascot has basic knowledge of martial arts and is a sprinter, but that is not his forte, which is history, culture, politics and economics. Though not good at planning due to his recklessness, he can call on a vast amount of information from his studies, and can also memorize architectural plans and quirks of terrain.

Powers: Everyone has Tesk, Tsun, and Tok, plus two others, perhaps that they learned on their own.

Void Sight - When in complete darkness, Ascot can see visions of the Past, Present, and Future, which can be either vague and metaphorical, or clear and concise. The GM dictates what Ascot sees in his visions.

Starfire - Ascot can conjure up bolts of burning light, but can make it so that the excess heat isn't transferred into the surroundings, defying convection. Right now, however, this is of limited use, as he can only heat things the way a normal fire could, but this ability has the potential to advance as Ascot grows.

Personality: Ascot is a driven soul, dedicated to his perceived duties and the idea of a world free from the Alien Yoke. Though not that good a planner (as mentioned in 'skills'), Ascot is someone whose head is brimming with notions, projects, and bits of philosophy, mostly relating to how Earth can be reshaped after it is liberated, as well as how it can be liberated in the first place. However, beneath it all is still a 14-year old kid who feels the weight of the world around him, and wants friends, allies, and playmates to help overcome the burden of expectations upon him.

Bio: Ascot only has vague memories of the time before the Invasion, during which time he was given by his parents to the Resistance to 'keep safe', before said parents disappeared into an uncertain fate. Raised in the bunkers used by the rebels, the boy was taken under the wing of a professor allied to the Rebellion, who taught him and other 'genius children' not only of the necessity to fight, but also of the necessity to rebuild once the fighting was over. While the previous generations fought to shake off the yoke, his' was going to be the one that actually made life afterwards worth living, and restore Humanity's dignity.

It was a lonely life, especially as he and the other children were frequently separated and shuffled across bunkers and complexes in order to avoid the Aliens' hunters, but he managed, although deep inside, he was lonely, immensely so. He began to shut himself in his room whenever he was not learning or training, hiding from his own demons in complete darkness. Which was how he unlocked his powers, he supposed.

When he was 12, he met Samuel Briggs, who was then 14. They became fast friends*, and Ascot found someone to cling to, and someone who can both support and supported him. He also met Alexander Sky, who was 18 at that time, and the two became friends as well. And with friends, came something to strive for besides abstract goals. With friends came something to inspire him to be better, something to spur him into using his powers for people.

And also, something to be afraid of losing...

*If @TheUnknowable Permits.

Equipment: Clothes, inlcuding a hoodie, a swiss army knife, and a miniature set of body armor, a carbine, and a saber. He also has books, crayons, pencils, pens, and a notebook.
Name: Alexander Sky

Appearance:

Age: 20

Skills: Alongside his normal Resistance Training (firearms, unarmed combat, survival, and stealth), Alexander is a skilled swordsman and cook, with some basic knowledge of what Earth was like before the Invasion. He is also a passable artist. However, he has some trouble with thinking his actions through, and thus tends to overrely on the powers and skills of others to compensate for his recklessness.

Powers: Everyone has Tesk, Tsun, and Tok, plus two others, perhaps that they learned on their own.

Restoration - Alexander touches a wounded person, and, with time and energy, can heal them by reverting their bodies to a previous state. However, the more severe the damage, the more time is needed to heal and repair it.

Line in the Sand - Alexander draws a line on any writable surface, then infuses it with some of his energy, causing all Aliens who see the line to feel a psychological block preventing them from moving beyond the line for an hour; this ability can be countered by Ascended State powers, or strong willpower.

Personality: Alexander seeks to be the Hope in the Grim Darkness, but lacks the persistence to be truly that. Thus, he mostly counts on his raw power and apperance of strength to get people to see things his way, which is a flaw. He also tends to try to be too many things at the same time; fighter, healer, planner, and morale raiser, to the point where he fails to master one specialty due to dabbling in all.

But beneath it all, he's a kind person who genuinely tries to change, a kind person who sincerely tries to help others.

Bio: An orphan who was ten years old during the Invasion, Alexander was taken away from his home city of New York by the Alien enslavers, who used him, along with others, as a guinea pig for their experiments on the innate power of Humans, awakening his inner power and then using him as a 'healer', someone who cured the various slaves that had been injured by the aliens' experiments so that they can be tortured and experimented on the more. Knowing little else but that life, Alexander was secure in his place in Earth's new order, sometimes even happy.

All that changed when one of the Alien Scientists, a Mental State, took pity on the boy, developing a case of 'Lima Syndrome' towards him. Said scientist managed to get Alexander assigned to be his personal 'attendant' when the boy was 13, allowing him a measure of safety, and, thanks to the protection granted by the Alien Scientist's rank, even freedom within the confines of the lab, which included freedom to learn, which his 'guardian' granted on condition that Alexander not try to sabotage the operations of the labs, nor overtly chafe under slavery...because the scientist was going to free Alexander eventually.

'Eventually' was two years later, when Alexander was 15. The scientist had made contacts with the Resistance, and managed to open the gates of the laboratories his group worked in to an infiltration team of rebels, who managed to rescue Alexander and the other children held. However...Alexander's benefactor's involvement in this was found out a month later, and he was publicly executed, with the boy witnessing the televised proceedings.

Since then, Alexander has been with the Resistance, learning all he can and fighting with his best.

Equipment: Standard Body Armor, Assault Rifle, Pistol, Jian (Chinese Longsword), Grenades, Knife, and First Aid Kit. Also, a set of Chalk for his 'Line in the Sand Power'.
Can't think up an idea. But will get on it soon.
I might have to drop this; nothing much is happening.

Edit: And by that, I don't mean the slow pace, but rather the lack of interesting stuff.
No Character Sheet Skeleton?
Sup guys, this game seems super fuckin cool and i want in, can i try to make a charsheet?
My idea is a superhero (or maybe even a villain) named Scary Monsters whose power is to take on aspects and abilities and banes of characters from fables, fairy tales, folk stories and other powerful media and strongly enforce laws of narrative universe around him - e.g. if he takes on the form of Big Bad Wolf then everyone around him is straight FUCKED and has to believe his most retarded lies unless a lumberjack comes along, or if he takes up the aspect of Rumpelstiltskin he will be forced to begin - and always quickly complete - a task that is asked of him by anyone, but always for a great price unless the inquirer knows his name.
In the zone of the narrative law, things and possibilities are supernaturally compelled and swayed to unfold as in the world of the fable of his choosing - bullets will not hurt a bold Hero who believes that he is clad in the armor of True Love and Truth, a renown Evil Champion will wreak untold havoc and infinite murder until confronted with his highly specific bane - and if the bane isn't around then well, tough tits, shame you couldn't find a person pure of heart armed with a magical sword before you was ripped into pieces by the angry dragon.

Too dark/OP/unfitting for the game? Tell me if yes.

I would like it. Of course, too bad the game is probably dead.
I'm rejoining. Note that my post length and quality would be down to 8 sentences a post for a while.
After Kaden, Mab stepped up, made suddenly frightened by the images of the morphing process. To be stuck as an animal forever after two hours? That was horrifying! The woman resolved not to Morph except in emergencies or as practice for said emergencies, so as to avoid that fate. And, also, to keep herself decent whenever she morphed.

But didn't she want to fight the Yeerks? Of course she did, but there were many ways to fight a war. She already had a headquarters that was some distance away from the Yeerk Pool, and servants who can be kept in the house for three days in order to make certain that there weren't any Yeerks in them. And, of course, she had access to guns, money, and resources. She was sure that she can help even without going into battle...
