That asshole... to come back now and pull that shit... -ahem-

...Captain's Log, Stardate 21312476.

This is an unofficial log made to let off some steam, and is to be counted off the record. If anyone listens to this, it means Joey stole my omni-tool...again...and I'll kick his ass off my ship to freeze in space if I find out!

-Sigh- I suppose I should at least try and do something with this log in case anything happens to me or my crew. Who knows, maybe when a certain snarky dickhead does steal my Omni-tool again, he'll understand the shit we had to go through to get to this point, and maybe cut us some goddamn slack!

...As such, what follows is a rough timeline of what's happened so far since having these super-kids on my ship.

In a way, our troubles all started just after meeting these twerps, when two of them, Ash and Flame - convinced me to help them with messing with the Ascendancy Stock Market. Figured it was a good small way of getting back at those pretentious jerks in the Ascendancy's higher-ups and get a little money on the side. Not long afterwards did we hit a snag when a weapons shopkeeper and their customers got taken hostage by a group of radicals who wanted to do a lot more than just stick it to the government. Fortunately our resident kaisoken Abaddon managed to solve the issue peacefully and we were on our way out the Bazaar.

Once we managed to get out into space, we got our first mission from our new boss, the overdramatically enigmatic Moonstrike One. It seemed there was an insurgency happening on the Planet Plenty and amidst the battle a Prison Ship carrying a special prisoner got shot down. This prisoner in question being some rebellious super-AI called Realist - apparently infamous for being a reckless viral takeover artist of dozens of Ascendancy ships; never heard of it, but you would've probably liked it. Anyways, we were told of the current situation on Plenty and what remains of the "Circle of Hell" prison ship, and planned out our jail break accordingly.

...What WEREN'T told was that on the way to Plenty, we'd have to be caught crossfire between a group of psychopaths and Grand Admiral Kherol himself, that apparently Kherol's Vice-Admiral and his cronies were on Plenty at the same time, that we'd be dealing with him, some merc in a bird mask, and apparently a 'bad' group of these super kids, and that a certain hypocritical blondie and two of our kids' friends got captured, making this a jail break on their account too.

It got a bit stressed, but in the end, we succeeded in breaking everyone out. Realist and the two kids joined us, though Blondie didn't.

Mission Accomplished, so we decided to celebrate. We fucked with the Stocks a bit more until the whole crew was rich and headed back to the Bazaar to spend it on whatever.

That's how it was supposed to be, anyways. But not long after we landed and started having our fun, the shit started to hit the fan. I was on the ship overseeing supplies and Realist's transfer to Moonstrike One, so I didn't notice much until two freaks who claimed to be from Moonstrike decided to Graffiti the damn ship without permission, then ran off.

Then not too long afterwards, a giant pillar of white light erupted from the Marketplace of the Bazaar and all hell broke loose. The Bazaar is a rather large place, and so it has a lot of law enforcers, and all the cops were now after us - most likely because the one causing the white flame pillar was one of the kids we had on board. Don't know what that was all about, and don't really care at the moment. What's important was that everyone off the ship was being hunted down, everyone on the ship had little idea what was going on, apparently some of the Vice-Admiral's magical lackies followed us here, and summoned goblins - yeah, fucking goblins - on our asses.

Soon as we could, we retreated and high-tailed it out of there, with two more of these kids now with us. Just as we thought we were out of the frying pan, Moonstrike One pops up to tell us we're now on fire. Apparently while all of this was going on, a group of Space Pirates - led by some jerk called Arron Falcon - hijacked the Stock Market, ran off with ALL of the money we took from that, and bombed the Bazaar stock building for good measure. As a result of all this, we're broke, the Trading Fleet that helped us with this is pretty much screwed, and thousands of fellow rebels who took part in this latest stock raid are getting found arrested left and right, meaning there's a good chance they'll gun for us as well.

And just to add the cherry on top this shit sundae, who shows up on the ship now of all times, but my so-called "Part-Time First Mate", Joey "Blondie" Albion, who decided to take center-stage on MY ship due to my part in this Stock mess, and decided to punish EVERYONE on the ship for it.

So now, what good news we have about a new member joining this crew is sullied with the knowledge that he's giving away all our food to this new guy - who apparently is from a race with a big appetite - and leaving us with nothing but rations for a time. Yeah, good luck keeping your head out of the vacuum of space for that, you fucking hypocrite!

-Deep breath and sigh- Officially, we are on standby. Moonstrike One is still gathering info, and hasn't yet given us a directive. Unofficially, I have a pretty good idea of what to do next once we get our bearings straight and sort out what exactly happened back at the Bazaar.

I don't care if it's a Pirate, a fellow Rebel, or the Ascendancy itself, No one steals from the Xuanzang and gets away with it.

The comprehensive guide to IL (TLDR)

This is a sci-fi fantasy world with lasers and magic (although limited to the Star Marines and some other characters)

The Star Marines are a group of talented/prodigious teenagers taken from their families at a very young age in preparation for a war. The kidnappers are the Ascendancy - the governing body of humanity and an authoritarian militaristic regime (think somewhat like the Imperium of Man, but tamer). The child soldiers are then experimented with in hidden facilities and forcefully injected with a substance called Kaisoken dust to give them magical power, then brutally trained to go to war.

They went to war with the Rau've and Kaisoken, a plant-like species and crystal-like species capable of magic. Under good leadership of the Grand Admiral Kherol, they managed to gain grounds, but the consequences of fascistic irrational belief began to show itself. The Ascendancy is slowly pushed back to its borders. Some desperate measures were taken to come back from the disastrous war, resulting in the battle of Proxima. Once again, incompetence led to the Ascendancy's downfall, as well as a mysterious sabotage of the child soldiers (you don't need to know this for now), but the same Grand Admiral managed to save a battle-ready fleet from total destruction and pull a peace-treaty out of the jaws of a total disaster.

The war ended. The surviving child soldiers are captured and imprisoned by the Rau've. Out of compassion, they treated you well, better than the Ascendancy did. However, for one reason or another, some child soldiers, dubbed Star Marines, decided to join this rebel group against the Ascendancy. This is where our original RP began

The Star Marines boarded Natasha Zhang's ship, the Xuanzang. Their first mission was a successful jail break mission of an AI. Afterwards, they went on a stock raid which stirred the Ascendancy economy dizzy and got themselves rich. To celebrate, they went to the Galactic Bazaar (A giant city-like marketplace), to which everything went wrong. One Star Marine, Alan, lost control of his powers and caused a huge scene, alerting law enforcement and forcing the crew to retreat. At the same time, a group of pirates raided the stock center in the Bazaar and stole the money the crew just earned, sending them back to square one.

After the fiasco, it dawned on the Xuanzang crew that the stock activities have alerted authorities and thousands of innocent people were arrested. As a result, they were punished into only eating rations for a while. Meanwhile, the crew are about to be boarded with new allies. This is where YOU come in

This RP, Innocence Lost, is a Sci-Fi Fantasy RP still going on for 10 months about a group of magical teenagers joining a rebel crew of human, cybernetic, and alien misfits against the galactic government that ruined their lives. You will be playing either these magical teenagers or the rebel crew, or even special characters if you feel like it (with some GM permissions)! This is a recruitment a request for more members; a recruitment call. All are welcomed to join and take part in the adventure as you explore the vast reaches of space and socialize together with your comrades amidst the havoc you bring upon the corrupt and villainous.
