Current Two days ago, Noble Arms is indisputably four years old, spread out across three threads, and the third thread is still ongoing and about to reach the endgame...

Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Noble Arms Lore Update:

The Spartan Training Programs

As Noble Arms are created through life-changing personal growth in my version of it, various governments have created 'Spartan Training Programs (STPs)' to turn 'trainees' into Arms Masters by forcing personal growth. These are not the same as Arms Master Academies, although there is overlap between them and the STPs, with some establishments having separate 'Normal' and 'Arms Master' classes where those of the former can join the latter when they grow a Noble Arm. Note however that the STPs vary in methods and severity; some of them are mere 'Military Schools with more steps', and others are torture factories where abuse is a constant theme.

Singapore has the largest STP in ASEAN, where parents and orphanages regularly 'volunteer' their children for harsh training, both physical and spiritual, in order to have a chance of an Arms Master in the family. However, although the Singapore STP is not as bad as the ones ran by various authoritarian regimes, it is infamous for having dropouts who later join Anti-Arms Master terrorist groups such as the now-defunct Disablers.
Might have a really vague idea but we'll see how it turns out I guess. Been kind of in a big RPing slump for a while so hopefully I can get this to work, but if I end up not being able to keep up or whatever at least Gundam being what it is makes it easy to write out my character if it comes down to it. XD

Nice! By the way, a teaser:

Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans - Altered Cast

I. Intro

It is the year 323 of the Post Disaster Era, and Humanity is in the grip of tyrants of their own making.

The military organization Gjallarhorn, originally founded to prevent a repeat of the catastrophic Calamity War, has fallen into stagnation and decadence, putting most of civilized space under their iron boot. Nowhere was this boot more felt than on Mars, the Red Planet, where poverty is rampant and the authorities are brutal, with any expression of discontent with how things are silenced with the club and bullet. In the streets of Mars' cities, children are regularly taken and sold as 'Human Debris'; slaves to be implanted with illegal cybernetics and used as cannon fodder by various mercenaries, pirates, and bandits who prey on those who cannot afford Gjallarhorn's taxes for protection.

You are some of those children (or teenagers if you managed to survive), owned by Chryse Guard Security, a private security firm who hires out both adult soldiers and Human Debris as fighters. This company, also called CGS, is not rich enough to afford Mobile Suits, the humanoid machines which make up the main strength of any decent armed group, having to content itself with smaller 'Mobile Workers' which are barely usable for war. However, there are two things that lift you from being ordinary and unremarkable.

One is that you have one of the legendary Gundam Frames, the Gundam Barbatos, in your headquarters. True, it has been repurposed into a power source, and cannot be used for combat yet, but should one repair it and use it as a weapon once more, it would be lethal even to other Mobile Suits.

Another is that the two leaders of the Martian Independence Movement, the 'Children of Revolution', has specifically requested CGS' assistance in escorting them to Earth, where they plan to argue and plead for more rights for the Chryse Region of Mars. Why is that the case? Well, no one knows, but perhaps it is your opportunity to earn your freedom... Or fight for it.

Wait, there are two leaders this time?

II. Lore and AU Elements.

Basically, this is an Alternate Universe of Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, an installment of the Gundam Series set in its own universe. What's so alternate about this? Well, every canon character has been replaced with an OC, including the protagonists, who will be replaced by the players' own characters. Not just that, but enemies, aka Gjallarhorn and various pirates, can also be played with special GM Permission.

Consult the Gundam Wiki for further info (the Post Disaster page is also relevant).

III. Rules

1.) No Godmoding or Powergaming, aka no controlling other players' actions, no defeating your enemy in one shot, and no shrugging of all hits without good-enough armor.
2.) Any consenting relationship between people of the same age group is allowed, whether it's Homosexual or Heterosexual. If you cannot stand such things, don't post here in the first place.
3.) Be polite to others.
4.) You can get Gundams besides the Barbatos later.
5.) You can have Custom Mechs which are not Gundams later.

IV. Character Sheet:

Name: (Don't call yourself 'Zero' or 'The Red Comet'.)
Appearance: (No IRL pictures)
Age: (14 to 16 if a kid; older if you're an adult)
Bio: (Backstory; at least one paragraph of four to five lines each - More is preferred.)
Mundane Skills: (What is your OC good at?)
Personality: (At least one paragraph of three to five lines each - More is preferred.)
Do you have the Alaya-Vijyana System?: (Type 'Y' or 'N'. If Y, you can have up to 3, but if every OC has 3, I will lower the limit to 2.)

@Dinh AaronMkdo you mind reviewing my sheet? If you’re good with the history still, as per the original approval, can you please modify the world map so I don’t have some wanna be “U-S-A! U-S-A!” player diving in there thinking it’s all hunkydorie please?
Pagemaster

Here we go; note that I removed one @ so that Pagemaster isn't bothered by a ping.

@Letter Bee

Firstly: There is no war in North America, only sporadic uprisings. The United States was subjugated by Britain in 1812 as a response to the pressures of the Napoleonic Wars. It's been several decades since the conquests of the American colonies, so by and large the British have a tight control of the cotton industry, by volume they have the most. The opportunity to claim sky-high cotton prices because of war in the US has passed in this period, that would have been at best 1812-1814, it is not 1812-1814, it is 1836. Don't read the one post by Page as if there is ongoing mass warfare in the United States to raise cotton prices.

Also, when and where did you ever claim Syria? Don't jump the gun.

But if you want to seek French buyers you will need to communicate with the French manufacturers. You will have to speak with the French government to lower the tariffs, not to buy the cotton. But you are still competing with British trade.

1.) Ah; to be fair, I did read it as an ongoing protracted war, yes.

2.) In my Nation Sheet, plus the map, which has not been updated to accommodate the new data, and is thus open to misreading.

3.) I might do that, but for now, I will be editing out the post to account for the new data.

@Dinh AaronMk, @Yam I Am, would you guys appreciate Egyptian Cotton for uniforms?
Raven Collins

Raven distracted himself from Conor's scorn by reminding himself that he had done more than dig a new well and train the local militia. He had while surveying the town, seen the old elementary school and paid for its renovation and new books with his own money and a few favors from the Wyoming and Mojave days. He had also made sure the walls were strengthened, and that there were ways out in case there was a fire, earthquake, or one of the students or teachers decided to shoot up the class... And that if raiders did attack, the children inside were as safe as possible.

That was a good and tangible thing that ought to counteract Conor's (somewhat justified) warnings about the NCR - They weren't all like General Lee Oliver, Colonel Moore, and that bastard Kimball. Honestly, he might have even convinced himself that it was Colonel Hsu, a real stand-up guy, who really won the Second Battle of Hoover Dam for the NCR that day, that glorious day. Either way, he was not going to repeat his Superiors' mistakes in the Mojave. He was going to make sure that the people here loved the NCR and that the inclusion of Whitlash was going to be a seed of change within the Republic.

And to do that, he had to rescue innocent hostages, and so his first question to the Town Councilfolk was, "What do we know about Helena's Legion? I suppose their being called a 'Legion' is a coincidence? How well-armed and armored are they and how good are their tactics?"

He then looked at Sam and then Conor and spoke, "What about giving them drugged food with a delayed-action sedative? Raiders are bad that we don't have to deal with them 'honorably', but it's best if we reduce the chances of bloodshed as much as we can. Alternatively, I and another good sniper can just pick them off one-by-one and save the hostages, or if we have someone stealthy, we can distract them with gifts and negotiations, snatch the hostages behind their back, and then kill them off."

Raven mused after that, "But first, we need to make sure they give the hostages back. It is entirely in their 'playbook' to keep the hostages and promise to release them 'later' if they are given more gifts. So the solution I suggested, to distract the raiders while someone sneaks the hostages out, is not a bad solution... Assuming one of us knows how to be stealthy; I am better at sniping."
I am in writer's block again.
