Skills/Specializations & History: The Foundation finds that former Green Beret Ramirez is an invaluable asset due to his inherent resistance to cognitohazards. This was displayed when he came into contact with SCP [REDACTED] during his tour in Afghanistan. SCP MTF [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] were able to secure SCP [REDACTED] and suppress information regarding SCP [REDACTED]. It was noted that Ramirez was instrumental in its capture after only being briefed by MTF section leader [REDACTED].

Ramirez displayed unorthodox resourcefulness, tact, and cunning in the face of a potentially life threatening entity. These traits, coupled with his surprisingly high Cognito Resistance Values (CRV) and his former training as a Green Beret made him a prime candidate for one of the foundation's many MTF units.

Dr. Arnold: So, how do you like the place so far?

Ramirez: It's not so bad... Better than the company barracks when I was still deployed in the Korengal valley.

Dr. Arnold: That's where you met [REDACTED] and assisted with the capture and containment of SCP [REDACTED], correct?

Ramirez remains silent

Dr. Arnold: Is there something wrong?

Ramirez: My men died without even giving it so much as a thought. Even your so called elite MTFs weren't completely prepared with only a handful of- What do you call them? Cognitohazard resistant personnel?

Dr. Arnold: That's one way, although I personally prefer saying cognitoresistant!

Ramirez: Right... My point is... You used my men as bait and made a shit show of it.

Dr. Arnold: Does this upset you?

Ramirez pauses

Ramirez: We're soldiers, we know what we signed up for, and it sure as hell wasn't fighting whatever that SCP thing was. I get what you're all trying to do. I'm not upset, rather I'm disappointed that you didn't do a better job. Instead of using their lives, you wasted it. They died for it. I don't like wasting lives... Not if I don't have to.

Dr. Arnold: However, the position you've been chosen for might call for exactly that. How do you feel about that?

Ramirez pauses briefly

Ramirez: ... At least I'll know what I signed up for right?

Wayde was critical of many of the Foundation’s operations from the very moment he was recruited to the moment he was assigned to MTF [REDACTED] and even at this very moment. However, his critical assessments have often led to better operational outcomes when paired with more problematic MTF personnel.

He is innately aware of the nature of the Foundations secretive operations and it’s mission goals. Because of this, he is obedient despite his firm criticisms on many Foundation security protocols, or rather the lack thereof. He was consulted for many security concerns regarding SCP [REDACTED], SCP [REDACTED], and SCP [REDACTED] and have greatly decreased the risk associated with the security of these entities.

As a team player, he often acts as an anchor that keeps those around him calm and focused. In his previous occupation as a Green Beret his nickname was “Steely-eye”. This was because he was known for keeping his cool in even the most stressful situations. If the incident reports from surviving members of MTF [REDACTED] regarding Operation [REDACTED] then this nickname is well warranted.

General Background:

Wayde Jameson Ramirez was born in Manila Philippines on the 29th of April 1976. There he stayed until he and his family migrated to the United States on 3rd of October 1980. He stayed in the state of New Jersey until the age of 25.

Like many Americans, he enlisted in the armed forces after the September 11th attacks.  He would qualify for the Green Berets right out of basic and serve with his unit for twenty years. 

The Foundation would take special interest in him during his tour in Afghanistan conducting unconventional warfare operations in the Korengal Valley. A local village was suffering from loss of livestock and mysterious disappearances of a few local shepherds. A Foundation agent noted that these disappearances were anomalous in nature after unexplained phenomenon reported nearby the village began to increase. MTF [REDACTED] and MTF [REDACTED] we’re notified and an operation was quickly drawn up to use the Green Berets in the area to draw the entity out under the pretext of investigating insurgent activity.

The entity now known as SCP [REDACTED] engaged the Green Berets. At 03:00 MTF [REDACTED]  and MTF [REDACTED] moved into the area in order to contain SCP [REDACTED] before further intervention from the local and U.S. armed forces. However, the entity’s unexpected cognitohazardous abilities proved to be extremely dangerous and casualties mounted on both MTF units.

Wayde and his surviving Green Berets were able to assist the surviving MTF units in their containment operations. However, section leader [REDACTED] noted Wayde’s apparent indifference towards SCP [REDACTED] anomalous effects. While the Green Berets and the local community were dosed with amnestics and treated for any anomalous side effects caused by SCP [REDACTED]. Wayde was ear marked as a potential operator for the Foundation’s Mobile Taskforces and was spared amnestic treatment and given a brief explanation of the Foundation and its operations.

Section Leader [REDACTED] offered him a place in the Foundation as part of one of the Foundation’s MTF operators. However, Wayde declined, citing having to look after the remainder of his squad. He did however, part with Section Leader [REDACTED] saying that he’d reconsider after his retirement, and until such time he would keep the events of [REDACTED] a secret.

Allowing Wayde to retain his memories of his encounter with Foundation personnel and the incident with SCP [REDACTED] was met with push back by higher level staff and even went up to O5. However, it was eventually determined through agents monitoring situations in Afghanistan that Wayde could be trusted to keep his word. The Foundation would approach Wayde again a month after his retirement and offer him a place in one of the Foundation’s Mobile Taskforces.
