Sorry about my lack of appearances. At this point Im taking a much needed hiatus from here after 5 long years. Not sure when I'll be back, but it won't be for awhile... sorry about that... : (

Once upon a time, I used to cheer for May the 4th... now I cry with disappointment. *Except Clone Wars S7 and the Mandalorian - they are awesome*
@jynmi88 The best course of action at this juncture would be to adapt the concept in accordance with any valid criticism received, take 2-3 days to do so and further refine the idea and the post that presents it, and re-pitch it. The biggest criticism I'll give you is that the main post gives a lot of information about the world which is good, but not a lot about the mechanics of the RP that it introduces ... and it could use a good formatting pass.
You had interest so it's reasonable to expect that interest, and potentially more, will come back on a second attempt. My other feedback is that you don't need to go through a formal interest check process before creating and opening an RP. That's not written anywhere. You could skip the re-pitch and go straight to a thread. From experience, I usually see as many people join in after the thread is up as I see people actually come over from the int check (usually int checks have between a 25-50% retention rate on average).
And if it's any consolation, I've had RPs die in similar manners too. Sometimes it's something you do, and sometimes the writing gods just say "No."
Sure - I can definitely see that some mechanics ought to be included and added in. And I do agree it doesn't look the most appealing in format, but the guy was new so it can pass. This, my friend, is constructive criticism. What Zero and Archmage said was not.
It's just the most common way to introduce an idea, get up hype, refine the last finishing touches to the world, and then present it within the next few days without wasting up space in the RP section. Sure, you don't have to do this, but that's how most people do it.
Also same - some RP ideas just didn't get enough attraction or if it does start, often I have shit that pops out last minute and everything goes down the gutter. I may return to GMing once Im in a stable environment.
Edit: Also true. Don't let others manipulate you when they seem to reek such bad faith. If they don't like it, they don't like it. Ignore them.
That's always a possibility, but I won't hold my breath. Usually, when people decide to open up an interest check, it's because they plan on being on for awhile. The fact the GM hasn't been on for two days does look like all the complaining was too much. Most likely he just gave up and decided to do something else with his time
Yeah, I would've had something up too, but I couldn't narrow it down to just two of the characters I wanted to use >. <
I get some people would like to see something done a certain way in an rp, but it's a bit much when you keep pushing to have to change the few details on an rp that makes it different from every other kind of rp in that genres. Damn it, the leveling up aspect and memory loss had potential >. <
Indeed. It started off well, but then two came in and bashed it on the head. I also believe this is at fault.
I would've at least two alternate canon characters, one from say Talon --> Overwatch and the reverse Overwatch --> Talon.
This wasn't just pushing, this was a pretty strong shove and with little fairness. They wanted something else outside of this RP, a gaming multiverse or something, and not just what it's supposed to be. That's a disaster waiting to happen for nearly any GM who can take things to heart (I mean everyone can/does to a certain extent). But yeah, the ideas presented as said are pretty cool. Maybe someone can rebirth this concept with a slightly more detailed flair (Spoiler Alert: Not me - I got shit to do atm and will probably not be the best GM) but honestly who knows.
Damn. Was kind of worried that would be the case. Most GMs tend to get disheartened when the most vocal members of an interest check only have complaints >. <
Oh well. Until the next Multiverse rp appears. :(
Of course, he could be busy, but judging by what I've seen, it leans much more so to what I initially think. Criticism is good as long as its medium and fair.
A shame too... I was ready to make a character as soon as I see a few more examples and act accordingly. But it seems it didn't happen because of these guys.
(Nor do I have shame in calling them out, especially one of them, because god damnit we've almost had something and yall just had to go there...)
Ezekiel is a soft spoken lad with an extensive affinity for technology. Having been grown up with a metalworking father, as well as being an apprentice to an inventor, he's quite creative when it comes in purposing new inventions to help his guild out in any way it can. He's also very resourceful when inspecting and repairing mechanical gadgets and weaponry, which even includes his guild's airship when things are broken. Many say that Zeke has a natural gift for mechanics, especially at such a young age. He's also exceptionally good in organizing, making sure that everything in his workplace is where it's supposed to be, and often goes into a small ranting fit when his stuff has been tampered with without his knowledge. He barely lets anyone touch his stuff unless he permits them to.
While he prefers working in his workshop undisturbed, he always has room for a friendly chat with the rest of his mates. He's often described as pleasant to be around and being quite caring and kind to his friends. It's been noted that he often tends to get himself a little carried away into the "nerdy" talk if mechanics are involved, although his intentions are pure for the sake of giving the person the information he/she needs. He's willing to help other fellow creative folk in accomplishing their goals, for even he still craving for knowledge to improve his inventions, as well as to learn the wondrous world around him.
During battle he often takes the role of a scout or supporting unit, using his quick wit and speed to dodge incoming attacks and to stay hidden if necessary. While he's no brawler in any way, his gadgets and weaponry more than make up for it as they too often back a punch to jab at his opponent's side. Yet take away his gear and the boy is nearly helpless, only able to rely on his mental instincts to survive the day...

Ezekiel had it pretty tough when he was young. He lived on the edge of the slums with his parents, both working extremely hard to pay all the necessary bills put in place. While they were a middle-classed household, they tread the line in falling under poverty. Zeke's father, Howard Fischer, was a metalworker for a local smithy, while his mother, Mila Fischer, was a doctor for a local clinic. The boy had always been interested in how the world looks, always visiting his father's workshop to see what he's building next. Even he began attempting to create his own pieces of work, starting out first with metal sculptures. He'd go out to the local garbage dumps and salvage anything he can find, from metal scarps, bolts, pipes, virtually anything he believes will be suitable for his creations and he'd get to work. Seeing potential for Zeke to enhance on these skills, he sent his son to become an apprentice for a nearby inventor, a friend he knew since they were teens, at the age of 12, who made gadgets not just off material alone, but also with some added magic.
Zeke helped the inventor for several years, being taught all that his master knew, while he continued to create his own set of gadgets. Yet his proudest creations wouldn't come until a violent riot happened nearby when he was 16. A prison breakout happened several blocks away as the Librarium forces attempted to halt the advance. Several guards were killed in that riot, but the deceased unintentionally provided Zeke with guns. The boy thought of a brilliant idea as he sneakily salvaged two "Dragonite" pistols and a "Liberty-Class" semi-automatic rifle, taking them back to his house for inspection. He initially began to figure out how these weapons worked and once he knew confidently about their inner-workings, he begins to modify them. Prior in modifying them, he remembers his master having several solar-powered lacrima balls in his workshop, originally designed to harness solar power and be used as a renewable source of energy. He thought they could be used in weapons as magical ammunition each, and so Zeke "borrows" several of these spheres as he implements them into his guns. These lacrimas are easy to take out and switch to a new recharged one if one goes out. They worked nearly as planned. However, after accidentally dropping the spheres into a bucket of water and coming back ten minutes later, he then discovered that these spheres can absorb different elements depending on where they are stored, thus inventing the Magical Lacrima Bullets.
Wanting to tell his master about what he discovered, Zeke rushes back to his workshop, only to find out that it was barred off and confiscated by the Librarium forces. The inventor was secretly a leader of an anti-librarium organization and used his inventing skills to combat the tyrannical government. Now that his master is deemed to execution, Zeke attempts to gather everything in his workshop through a secret opening upstairs and gather everything he could find, nearly getting caught in the process. But things were about to get worse...
The inventor's rebel organization began to barricade themselves into Zeke's neighborhood and the Librarium were hunting them down ruthlessly. Fearing that they would discover Zeke's unintentional involvement with the inventor, Zeke's family attempted to flee from the neighborhood at night, taking everything magic related with them while the district began to burn. As they began driving away in their carriage, they were suddenly shot down by military forces as the explosion caused them to jolt out of the vehicle. The carriage was flipped on its side, squeezed in between a very narrow street, with the boy and his stuff on one side and his parents on the other. He viciously attempts to get his parents out as Librarium forces began coming in from their side, but his parents simply told their son to go and that they'd find their way out of this. With a heavy heart, with hot wet tears dripping down his cheeks, Zeke was forced to acknowledge their requests and left them to an unknown fate...
Yet on that same night, just an hour later, he discovered salvation in the form of a certain Skyship. They were helping to evacuate the residents of the village and upon stepping into the ship and showing his wears for the first time, marked the beginning of his involvement with Cloud Chasers guild.

Magical Lacrima Bullets: Zeke sports three modified guns - two "Dragonite" revolvers and a "Liberty-Class" semi-automatic (SA) rifle - each being able to utilize a special slot for a certain lacrima to fire bullets of energy or a beam of raw elemental plasma which often drains the lacrima dry within seconds. These lacrimas have the ability to harness the power of an element so as long as they are bathed under a substance that supports a certain magical power, especially those regarding the natural elements. For example, the lacrima's were originally designed to be solar powered, gathering solar energy from the sun in which they are capable or providing light ammunition. However, Zeke discovered that if dipped for a certain amount of time in other elements (which often varies), they will absorb said power and fire its respected element, each giving off a different effect and status. Each individual lacrima can hold up to five shots before being drained and having to be recharged.
Below are some examples of the effects other elements can dish out:
Fire: Guns fire off fire bullets that burn flammable targets, or fire a raw stream of fire like a flamethrower. Lacrima must be kept in a hot location for ten minutes.
Water: Guns fire off high-pressured water bullets that can pierce through rock and weaker metals, or fires a beam of high-pressured water that can carve through strong metals. Lacrima must be kept underwater for ten minutes.
Earth: Guns fire off sharp-piercing rock bullets at opponents, or fires mudshots if combined with water, to slow opponents down, or fires liquid ground that can slow/trap opponents. Lacrima must be kept underground in dirt or rock for ten minutes.
Steam: Guns fire off a gust of steam that can cloud the opponent's vision, or fires off a tornado of steam that can push opponents off balance. Lacrima must be kept in a steamy environment for fifteen minutes.
Electricity: Guns fire off a bolt of electricity at the opponent, stunning them on target, or fires off lightning at the opponent, which can connect with other nearby enemies. Lacrima must be kept under electrical charge for five minutes.
Ice: Guns fire off a bullet of ice that can pierce through skin and slowly freeze opponents, or fires off a beam of ice that freezes any opponent in its line of fire. Lacrima must be kept in a frozen environment for half-an-hour.
Acid: Guns fire off a bullet of acid that melts through skin or metal (depending on the acid it absorbed), or fires off a liquid beam of acid. Lacrima must be kept submerged in an acid for between half-an-hour to forty-five minutes.
Healing: Guns fire off a bullet that explodes merely a second after leaving the barrel, releasing a potent healing cloud that cures any poisonous substances in the air, or if connected upon an ally it slightly enhanced the regenerative system to heal wounds. It also enhances the immune system to fight against poisonous substances. Lacrima must be kept submerged under special herbs for up to two hours (depending on the herb used).
Sound: Guns fire off a burst of loud sound that disorients any opponent in front of user, capable of bursting eardrums if close enough. Can only be fired in a beam. Lacrima must be exposed under intense loud sounds for ten minutes.
Light: Guns fire off a bullet of light that acts like a laser, or fires off a beam of light plasma within a large radius. Lacrima must be kept underneath direct sunlight for one hour.
Darkness: ("Theory") Guns fire off a bullet of darkness that corrupts anything it touches, or fires off a beam of dark matter(?) within a large radius. Lacrima must be exposed to dark magic for an unknown amount of time. Needs testing...

Ezekiel's guild mark can be found on his left arm.
This is a slightly refined version of the lizardmen race that I wrote for in the old thread.
The lizardmen can be traced back thousands of years ago, having evolved from a common lizard-like ancestor. Initially they were a primitive race that were found deep within the jungles below the floating islands. They lived in war-based tribal communities, enhancing their focus on fighting techniques and styles. Each tribe had a signature style of combat and weaponry that made them unique from each other. At that point in time most didn't even wield magic, except for their local shaman who used it to heal others. Some tribes even made alliances with other tribes to take down other rival tribes or to face a common over-looming threat. They also had an annual celebration known as Vishia, where every tribe, rival or friendly, would congregate in a sacred spot and spend the entire day at peace with one another, only to go back to their own ways the next day.
After centuries being divided amongst themselves, the clans were eventually united by a single leader. They were united without bloodshed or violence... but ultimately by peace. Known simply in legends as Shalamandurah, or "The Peacemaker", this lizardman hated the violence that occurred between the rivaling tribes and sought to bring total peace and harmony through the clans. He created a peaceful movement that supported the cause of a united and peaceful civilization. Initially, they were laughed and frowned upon, being seen as an act of defile against their own tradition. Several tribes attempted to kill them off outright, yet Shalamandurah and his movement prevailed. Through examples and non-violent protests, the Peacemaker's movement gradually recruited more believers, eventually creating the first major religion to be presented in the Lizardmen tribes. These followers came from every tribe around, many being rivals to the Peacemaker's own, yet here they all had a common goal and belief. Eventually, the Peacemaker united the clans and formed the city of Kreedieth, the first unified city to be created by the lizardmen. A statue of the Peacemaker was erected in the middle of the city, where it still lies to this day.
The founding of Kreedieth started the golden age for the lizardmen race. For hundreds of years they dominated the jungles of Pandora, creating a peaceful society. They even began to advance in their technologies and began focusing on refining in magic. Magic soon became to be a major factor in their society, from powering machines, to advancement in medical practices. Yet before they could expand to the islands above... they vanished. This mysterious phenomenon virtually wiped them out of existence. Kreedieth was left abandoned, as were the other minor villages around, overtaken by nature once again. No signs of bloodshed could be seen nor were there records of any sickness. The lizardmen race would not be heard from again for another thousand years or so...
And when they were found, they were still thriving. Their technology was at the same development as the humans of Pandora and they were thriving in a city, in one of the distant islands, known as Jafara City. And what's more, several smaller towns and villages were eventually seen dotted across the other islands. How they were able to live under the radar so long is still a mystery. Not even the inhabitants could explain, or so they claimed.
Initially, the lizardmen were treated with valiant respect and were good trading partners with the Librarium. But after the War of the Faiths, with Archbishop Xavier taking the crown, most of the lizardmen were enslaved in the more corrupted towns. Their massive bulk and power, along with their dexterity and durability, provided exceptional attributes in slave labor especially in their massive construction projects. Only the most wealthy of the race, or those having lived in the less-corrupted cities, were spared from this grueling work. Some of them even joined the Librarium's army as their last resort to escape the gruesome workload, yet most found themselves under attack by heavy racism. Most of the lizards began to resent their once reliable allies...
The lizardmen are essentially tall anthropomorphic lizards. They are covered in thick scales, coming in an assortment of different colors, many sporting horns on their heads, as spines running down their back, claws both on their hands and toes, and they all sport a tail. Their underbelly is often a light tan-color, or white for some breeds. They often wear robes made of plant-like fiber, or silk for more expensive clothing. They're portrayed as slightly taller than the humans, with some lizards reportedly being 6'6" tall in some cases.
As Mephilius attempts to support his draconian ally, one of the latter's shots hit the guardian, forcing him to regain his ground. But as the guardian repositions, it leaves Mephilius at the complete mercy of Nina's blinding attacks. Not trusting the dark corrupting breathes dejecting from her mouth, the knight tries to dodge the shots rather than shielding himself. He'd rather have his shield in tact rather than being eaten away.
"WATCH YOUR FIRE!" the knight roars infuriatingly at the brute's feral movement, not realizing right away that she was blinded. He doesn't even bother scolding the dragon lady. After all, it'll be no use scolding such a primitive-minded oaf like her, who's strategy seems only to be that of brawn and much less of actual strategy.
As soon as he finished dodging, he turns around to be greeted by an army of undead soldiers rushing towards him. The knight sighs irksomely as he's forced to engage the approaching army. Yet before he did so, he engages his thrusters into the sky and switches out his ammunition. From electrical rounds, he reverts back to raw explosive rounds, and fires them off at the bone horde. He eyes one character in particular, Bonesword, who no doubt appears to be responsible for this engagement. He also fires off several explosive rounds at the skeleton's location, around nearly the same time as the Guardian rose to greet him.
The archangel raises a hand in front of Saef, as he quickly glances at the battle taking place in front of him. He eyes the demonic opponents fighting against the Pyramid Guardian, while also taking a quick glance behind him to see who's now approaching the temple. Sure enough, he can vaguely see figures approaching from the forest, most of them being Machina units. Eying the battle at hand, Lucifus came to the only logical conclusion at the moment.
"Save your strength." the archangel orders softly, "The guardian is currently not worth our time. Let the others wear him down while we position ourselves near the exit. Once defeated, we rush. We'll counter if we're attacked."
He carefully plants his body near the edge of the wall in an attempt to sneak by the chaos of battle. He motions his hand towards Saef as he silently attempts to walk past the battle at hand. And soon enough, the Machina arrive, with a certain skeleton unleashing an entire army of undead soldiers that begin to swarm the guardian and the unfortunate units that were right in the middle of it. Any skeleton that wishes to greet the archangel would find themselves utterly obliterated by his blades, decapitate each one with a swift head-strike.
Sorry if I kinda jumped the gun @Pirouette, I've been a little hyped for this moment and deployed it too early. I should've waited for you to post first, my bad.
(Still gave you options and didn't try to force anything. If it seems I did, let me know and I'll change it to what you deem fit).
