Why are you here when you should be writing posts?

You can edit a bad draft, but you cannot edit a blank page.

All this emotion after loosing two teammates is going to make some great RPing. It's going to make Simone's casual shrug when she finds out look even more bitchy.

Excellent! Divide the team! Mwuahahaha
I can understand, When you said sample I thought you wanted me to grab a post from my past rps.

Anyway can my character have a severe physical mutation (I had planned for him to have a gem like body)

Oh no, I tried to make sure on the Application to communicate the sample was to be written as the character you're applying as.

You may do a physical mutation, however I must advise you against keeping it as a permanently visible condition. If only because it would severely limit the character from having much interaction outside of the vigilante scene.
And then there's Evan who's just like "I never got to fulfill my twin fantasy."
Looking forward to it!

That sample post is hard to do considering that I don't have a history here. Whatever, here goes XD.

I've always found it easier to write a sample post than a history haha. But truly I just find histories too telling and considering the aim is to have younger character, honestly how much history are they really going to have?
Looking forward to seeing your applications!
Unfortunately I regret to announce that Roman messaged me to inform me he has pulled out of this RP. The twins will be written out in the IC (Read as: They are now zombie chow :P).

During the dawn of the early twentieth century a new species of humanoid emerged. These new humans displayed feats previously thought to be impossible to achieve. The 'Hyperhumans' possessed a unique gene, dubbed the 'Hype-Gene' which upon awakening altered the host's DNA to accomendate the body's increased abilities. As scientific knowledge grew, Hyperhumans and Humans were determined to in fact be two separate species, the Hyperhuman being the next step in humanity's evolutionary chain. By 1938, several specimens had been found by obsessive and fanatical scientists who began researching and experimenting on Hyperhumans. This led to Hyperhumans being quarantined and further experimented on, most notably in Germany where Adolf Hitler used the Hyperhuman scare to push his personal agenda forward, most notably using genocide to cover the horendous experiments happening under his orders. Along with numerous others, suspected Hyperhumans were rounded up into concentration camps and subjected to cruel treatments and inhuman experiments.

In 1945, when the Manhatten Project was unleashed upon Japan, an unseen shockwave would soon be felt around the world. The radiation released by the Atom Bomb permeated through the cells of millions around the world irradiated the genetic material of the current generation. This irradiated genetic material lead to the next generation being born with more active 'Hype-Genes' than ever before. These 'jump-started' 'Hype-Genes' resulting in a spike of Hyperhumans across the globe though with a specific concentration in North America. This incident became known as the 'Era of Hyperhumans' spanning nearly four decades from the late 50's to the mid 90's.

However in 1999, all traces of Hyperhumans mysteriously disappeared. Masked heroes and terrifying criminals were gone seemingly over night and the world returned to a state of relative normalcy. For the city of New Lilith, it was highly regarded as a tragedy. During the late 1930's, the city's underworld had been united and taken over by a Roman Locke who quickly crew his criminal empire and enslaved most of the city. However duing the 'Hyperhuman Era' a group of heroes rose up and toppled the crime lord off his lofty throne. These heroes endeavored to improve the world becoming recognized as national heroes but then, they too simply disappeared.

Now the world has moved past the days of heroes with only a few smiling on it fondly while most are glad to be done with the 'madness'. There are those however who wish to bring the Hyperhumans back, and will stop at nothing in order to replicate the original effects.

The rotting smell of mud and wood rolled down the streets, the heat of the summer having stirred up Dead Man's Bog and all its fumes. Sitting with his back against the exterior wall of a run down convenience store was and older man, his clothes ragged as he scratched a wool toque sitting atop his long mop like hair. In his hands was a small can which he held forward to each passerby, looking up with his grizzled face as he forced a smile, yellowed uneven teeth rising up over his lips as they parted. Old weary eyes twinkling with genuine kindness and deep sorrow as the same words escaped his lips over and over.

"Can you spare any change?"

Optimism and a belief in the greater good of man was the only thing keeping the man going at this point. He couldn't remember when he had his last meal, let alone the taste of a good hamburger. Not that he would likely ever taste one again, living on the streets came with the advantage of free samples. Unfortunately those free samples came with the cravings, the constant agonizing cravings. The man's hands began to shake as a handful of coins hit the bottom of his can. Nodding with enthusiastic thanks, the man pulled the can back to his chest as he slowly rocked his body, trying to easy the shakes.

"How about a hot meal and a made bed, Old Man?" The warm voice of a young man caused the older man to look up. In front of him, a well dressed man extending a hand towards him, a smile plastered on his face that his caused his perfect white teeth to glisten in the setting sun.

"I.." The man started, his stutter had always hindered him in job interviews."I-I-I couldn't p-p-possibly accept that."

"I insist, no strings attached, completely on me." The young man said as the older man nodded slowly, accepting the young man's hand and standing up. Tucking the day's earnings in his pocket, the older man nodded as the younger man motioned for him to follow. Opening the door to his glistening black sedan, the older man slid into the passenger seat as the other man ran around and climbed into the driver's seat.

"What'll it be, Old Man?" He asked with his dazzling smile on display for all to see. A key was pushed into the ignition as the engine roared to life, the brand new touch screen display lit up with a GPS just waiting for the input of the driver.

"A-a-a hamburger p-p-please." The older man said, his own smile warming the small interior of the vehicle.

"I know the perfect place." The younger man said as he put the car into drive, the GPS lighting up as a finger slid over the buttons, highlighting the quickest route to the Apollo Grill within the main city.

"T-t-thank you." The older man said, nodding towards the younger man as he rubbed his hands together nervously. It had been years since he rode in a car, let alone ever sat in one this nice. The sedan was definitely luxury, maybe even import. It had all the touches of fine German engineering, something the older man hadn't seen since serving over seas.

"Oh don't thank me yet." The younger man replied as suddenly a second man sat up in the back seat. A cloth was forced over the beggar's face as he struggled and fought only to suddenly go limp as the chloroform took its effect.

"You won't like where you're going." The man continued as he took the car off the laid out path and turned towards the Demon's Valley.

The melodic sounds of the cellphone alarm filled the room as Alexis Grimm was stirred from her sleep. Stretching out in her bed, she turned away from the the small screen that had illuminated her room mumbling about five more minutes. From downstairs, the gentle smell of fried batter wafted under the door to the dark room as the hiss of bacon hitting a hot griddle suddenly crackled through the air.

"Alexis, honey!" A woman's voice called from downstairs. "You don't want to be late or hungry on your first day of senior year!"

"Uhhh." Came Alexis' reply as she rolled over and checked the time on her phone. Sitting up in her bed upon realizing she had a text message, Alexis smiled as she began to read.

'Good morning Beautiful, can't wait to see your smiling face today.'

Her fingers flew into action, as Alexis quickly hammered out a reply.

'I can't wait to see you either Babe!'

Suddenly feeling awake, Alexis jumped out of her bed and scurried to the bathroom. The sensation of the hot shower was the only good thing that happened in the morning. Turning under the steady stream, she ensured the water touched every part of her body, inhaling deeply as a cloud of steam rose from the shower. Toweling off, Alexis slid into her room, throwing open her large walk in closet as she went through numerous outifts before deciding on a cute little number including both a pleated skirt and an adorable pair of boots. Slinging her bag over the shoulder, Alexis ensured her blouse was tucked in as she quickly clambered down the stairs into her parent's kitchen.

"Mornin' Mum!" She said with a peck on her mother's cheek. "Morning Daddy!" Alexis continued as she wrapped her arms around her dad and planted a raspberry on his cheek with a giggle.

"Get off me." He chuckled as he pulled out a chair for Alexis. "Well then, excited are we?"

"Not overly, but you went through all the trouble of cooking up a big breakfast, I figured I'd put on a face for you." She said, sticking her tongue out at the end before piling two pancakes onto her plate and dousing them in maple syrup.

"Slow down, it's not going anywhere." Her mother chimed in as Alexis' father shook his head.

"Let the girl eat Katherine, she's obviously hungry." The balding man said as Katherine moved her blonde hair behind her ear.

"If you insist Patrick." She said with a small smile. "I suppose I can lay off being a satellite parent for at least breakfast."

"I think they're calling you helicopter parents now." Alexis said, coming up for air as she smirked at her mother, her green eyes twinkling with mischief as she brushed her long brunette locks behind her ear.

"Shut up and eat your breakfast." Katherine retorted with a smile before biting into a peach held loosely in her manicured hand.

"I've got to be going anyways, meeting Zebulun at the school!" Alexis said, her voice being higher and more excited upon speaking the name Zebulun. Basically jumping up from her chair, the teen snatched the peach from her mother's hand before taking a bite as she gathered up her bag.

"Still dating the Michaels' boy eh?" Patrick asked with a small smile. "The girl learned well, she goes for money."

"Oh stop it." Katherine scolded her husband who began to clear the table. "Off to the gym Sweetie?" She asked as he deposited the dirty dishes into the washer and grabbed his own keys.

"Indeed I am dear, I have about three bacons and half a pound of bacon to work off before I head into the office." Patrick said before kissing his wife goodbye, peeking to see if Alexis was watching before giving Katherine a playful pat on her behind as he winked at her before heading out the door.

"Oh gross." Alexis' voice was filled with disgust as she quickly ran out the door to the sound of her parents' laughter. Climbing into her small sports car, Alexis adjusted the pair of black fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview window before lowering the top and driving out into the morning sun. Sun was rare in New Lilith, although if the local legends were to be believed, it was even more rare during the time Roman Locke rang over the city. The cherry red car had been a present to Alexis on her sixteenth birthday and the girl had taken pristine care of the car herself, rotating its tires, changing the oil and any other simple maintenance had been done by her, at least once her father had instructed her how to do it.

The drive to New Lilith College Academy was not a long one by any means. Her parents were more than wealthy enough to afford a house in the city's well off East end, although the school had been half the reason why they had choosen to live in that end of the city. Butterflies filled her stomach as she drove past the Faulkner estate, home to none other than Charles Michaels, the citiest wealthiest and most famous son. Charles Michaels was the new Bill Gates, having revolutionized the software industry with the humorously named 'Glitch' Operating System. Mr. Michaels also happened to be father of her boyfriend Zebulun, although Alexis herself had never met Charles, Zebulun's mother Drew was rather friendly despite her reputation of being somewhat cold.

Pulling into the school's parking lot, Alexis found a nice parking spot before hanging her parking pass on in front of the fuzzy dice. Closing the car up, the brunette lifted her large sunglasses to the top of her head as she walked into the school.

"Heya Beautiful!" Zebulun's warm voice called out to Alexis as she turned to find herself lost in the taller's boys deep blue eyes. She could stare at them forever, flecks of icy blue highlighted them, giving his eyes and intense stare that almost felt like he could look right through you if he focusses hard enough. Shaggy brown hair hung unkempt from his head as it curled slightly at the end of each strand. Highlights of gold and midlights of auburn could be seen within his hair underneath the bright fluorescent lights of the school hallway. Pressing her lips against his, Alexis could feel his arms wrap around her waist and pull her in close as they said 'hello' the only way lovers ever should.

"I could get used to that." Zebulun said as Alexis relaxed her lips and stepped back, her eye lashes fluttering slightly as the boy took ahold of her hand.

"Maybe I'll keep you around then." Alexis replied coyly as she began to lead Zebulun down the hall towards their first class. "Is your band practicing tonight?"

"Oh no, we decided to see how the course load is first and then figure out when the best nights to practice would be." Zebulun replied, waving to his friends and bandmates as they passed the pair in the hallway.

"So I have you all to myself tonight then?" Alexis replied, spinning around she leaned in closer to Zebulun who nonchantly shrugged his shoulders.

"It would look like it, what did you have in mind?" He replied.

"The park, the one beneath the over pass. There's something of a party going on there tonight. We should definitely go!" Alexis exclaimed with excitement. Word of the party had been plastered all over Facebook, Twitter and a few other frequented sites over the weekend.

"I think I might have enough freak left in me to do a party." Zebulun smirked as the pair took their seats in the corner of their first period English class.

"That's the worse thing you've said since you decided to call your band Extinguish/Ignite." Alexis retorted with a smirk of her own.

"Seriously, you're still on about that." Zebulun exclaimed in mock disbelief. "It's the perfect name to use in tribute to one of the greatest musicians to ever live." Turning to the closest student, Zebulun tapped him on the shoulder. "Yo buddy, please tell my girl why Kurt Cobain was one of the greatest artists of our time."

| ABILITIES: |
Nosferatu:
STAGE ONE: Upon receiving her initial abilities, Alexis' senses will be increased to the point where she can smell the blood flowing beneath a person's skin. Her eyes are able to see in perfect darkness and her ears are able to isolate a sound over a mile away. Additionally Alexis' metabolism is increased meaning her body not only processes food much quicker but also requires more of it on a more regular basis. Lastly Alexis will be able to walk up walls and along ceilings. At first she'll do this on all fours but as she gets a hang of her abilities, Alexis will be able to simply walk or run along the surface as though it was the ground. Lastly, Alexis develops retractable fangs, which emerge whenever she is enraged, hungry or horny.

STAGE TWO: Upon entering Stage Two of her abilities' development, Alexis will be able to levitate several feet above the ground allowing her to glide short distances, as well as stop a descent from causing her any harm. Furthermore, her balance has increased to superhuman levels, with Alexis being able to involuntarily right herself if falling upside down or otherwise turned. Alexis' abilities will further develop as she finds her strength, speed and reflexes all increasing to superhuman levels.

STAGE THREE: Continuing to develop, Alexis' strength, speed and reflexes will continue to enhance with her becoming both stronger and faster. Furthermore, Alexis will develop psychometry, an extra-sensory perception characterized by the ability to make relevant associations from an object of unknown history by making physical contact with that object. This allows Alexis to quickly learn about her surroundings in a way that very few others ever could.

STAGE FOUR: Entering into the final stage of her development, Alexis gains the ability to transform into mist under the shadow of night. This intangible mist form, grants Alexis the ability to enter spaces through small cracks and crevices in the wall that would have made entry otherwise impossible. Additionally it allows her to avoid harm. Alexis will also find her levitation has upgraded to full fledged flight, allowing her to soar through the night sky with total disregard for gravity. Lastly her senses have been further enhanced, granting her eyes almost a telescopic view as well as the ability to see through infrared, tracking foes by their heat signature. Her hearing, taste and sense are further upgraded with better range and perception.

LIMITATIONS: Alexis' limitations depend greatly on the last time she ate and more specifically, the last time she ingested blood. Thankfully all blood is equal and a rare steak counts just as much as biting someone in the neck, the only difference being the volume of blood in the meat. At worst, Alexis can lift five hundred pounds over her head, but she's easily able to lift a ton at her maximum abilities in stage two, and up to three when her abilities further develop. Likewise her speed ranges from moving at thirty miles per hour to at first a maximum of fifty miles per hour and later a maximum of eighty. Alexis' reflexes at worst are five times faster than a human's, and originally at best are twenty five times better. This later develops to being nearly fifty times better allowing Alexis to even side step a bullet. Her levitation allows her to hover indefinitely but only up to five feet above the ground, it should be noted however that were she to descend from a higher height, her levitation still allows her to slow the fall and the five feet limit acts as a cushion to stop her from hurting herself. In terms of flight, Alexis can fly as high as she can handle the cold, thereby meaning if had the proper equipment she could fly as high as she pleased.

WEAKNESSES: Alexis has numerous notable weaknesses, the first of which is her need to include blood in her diet. This blood however does not need to be human blood, but human blood often tastes the sweetest to her. Sunlight causes irritation to Alexis' skin but is not fatal in limited exposure. Alexis simply burns much quicker than an average human, gaining a tan in record time if left unchecked. However were she left out in the sun without protection for an extended period of time, it would result in an escalating scale of burns which would eventually kill Alexis. Likewise, fire is also extremely harmful towards her and as such she has a fear of it.

Silver burns upon contact with Alexis' skin and a weapon made with silver would cause burning wounds of extreme agony. Likewise wooden weapons are very harmful to Alexis, especially those made from oak. It would be redundant however to state that staking Alexis through the heart is lethal as Alexis is not a member of the 'undead' and as such does still have mortal limits. She has two rather minor weaknesses that were developed from her abilities including allergic reactions to garlic and a rather severe case of arithmomania. As such, Alexis has a rather compulsive need to count either her actions, her surroundings or both which at times can lead to her being quite distracted.

| SAMPLE POST: |
The pub was particularly packed this Friday evening as the live music echoed through the small establishment while the waitresses in their tight black tops ran around bringing drinks and towering plates of wings to the many awaiting tables. Normally Alexis would have been working behind the bar but with the 'Stein and Cauldron' overcrowded, Serena had asked Alexis to take to the floor. The smell of alcohol permeated the room while various wing sauces added accents ranging from sweet to tangy to the thick smoke smell of barbeque. Walking up to a table with her notepad drawn, Alexis looked down only now realizing that perhaps the pleated skirt she had worn tonight wasn't the best choice as even the mandatory server apron was longer than it.

"What'll it be boys?" Alexis said as she clicked a pen and put it down on the pad while looking at the four men before her. Looking at each of the men they appeared to meet the standard 'frat boy' stereotypes. 'V-Necked' Shirt on one, popped collar polo on another, one was still wearing his sunglasses indoors and had enough grease in his hair to a make a McDonald's grill blush. Alexis looked up as she heard of them obnoxiously clear his throat as the man in the polo began to speak.

"Another round of MGD, bottles for each of us Sweet Cheeks. And a platter of the suicide wings. I only like things that are smokin' hot." He said as he leaned back, looking Alexis up and down, his tongue sliding across his lips nearly causing Alexis to gag in her mouth. Despite sitting in the middle, his arms still had tremendous reach as he stretched his hand out, the man with the popped collar winked at his friends while nodding towards their waitress and her short skirt. Turning to walk away, Alexis felt a smack as her skirt was briefly lifted. Biting down on her lip, she felt her face go red as she paused before speaking.

"You Sir, get a sandwich on the house!" Alexis said in a 'valley girl' like tone, forcing herself to release the death glare from her face, replacing it with a freshly painted and much forced smile while turning to the man who had slapped her behind. He looked up at her smugly, a look of pure amusement in his eyes as he sat surrounding by his snickering 'brothers'. It took all of Alexis' restraint to not take his beer and beat him over the head before shanking him with it till he bled out on the floor.

"Oh yeah, well why don't you hurry and make it for me Sweet Cheeks?" The man said as he swigged his beer, nearly falling off his chair laughing while his gathered friends all joined in on the mirth. Alexis' grin grew from forced to genuine as she realized just how much she was about to enjoy administering her own brand of justice on this depraved excuse for a man. She had lived among rough men before but none of them would have dared touched her. Placing her tray down on the table beside her, she nodded to the table nearby as she excused her actions in advanced.

"Oh but I already have it right here for you." Alexis' tone was sweet and innocent only to be broken as she suddenly pulled her arm back and swung hard. The echoing of knuckles colliding with a hollow skull echoed through the 'Cauldron as the man hit the floor, his beer shattering as glass and alcohol spread across the floor. "I hope you like 'knuckle'." Alexis quipped as she turned her back and headed for the bar amidst the cheers and hollers of the other patrons. "I still expect a tip." Alexis called back to the frat boys which only served to elicit more laughter from the 'Cauldron's patrons.
